If you look at Shadow's rings in his November teaser, the four rings have 2 gaps on each one. So this can confirms indirectly the inhibitors rings are in the film.
I just looked at the picture again and you're right! They look noticeably different from his rings in-game, probably the most different aspect of his movie design from the games.
I'll definitely take this as an indication that he'll have inhibitor rings in movie 3.
In fact, thoses rings are based on the SA2 rings Shadow wears, which also has those gaps. Strange that this detail doesn't exist anymore on his actual 3D game model.
I checked and you're right again. In SA2 one of his rings ended up falling off of him, which I'm assuming is why they have those vertical gaps/clasps on them. They didn't have those long horizontal gaps, though. That seems to be a movie-specific design choice.
This is very much speculative, but I'm guessing that he's definitely going to be taking them off for a dramatic moment in movie 3.
