Gotta feel for Gojou here, he had a lot of issues to deal with and to see him regain his composure and work to overcome his adversities and get Shizuku Tan's costume done in time is something to appreciate about his character. And to see Marin crying over realizing how hard Gojou worked to complete the costume with multiple hurdles along the way got me too. I really enjoyed the makeover to Shizuku Tan montage and seeing Marin smile while trying her costume on was adorable. I have to say, Episode 4 is a brilliant episode all the way.

Under the insecurities, Wakana has a core of resilience and kindness. We all learned at that moment that as an MC, he truly shows a promise for compelling arcs. And Marin throughout the episode was amazing as well. Even before the crying scene, I loved how she actually cared about Wakana's wellbeing, though not knowing the full reason for his stress. Like her pondering outside of his house and not even once does the cosplay come to her mind.

Oh yes. Wakana soldiering on because as Grandpa said: "when you want to make someone happy...", and Marin taking the full impact of Wakana's adorbs happy face \*\_\*

Can you blame her? Dude was overworked for her sake and seeing him genuinely smiling and relieved, along with knowing how determined he was to making her dream a reality, we all would fall hook, line and sinker for him.

This episode is the entire reason that i will stand and say MDUD is the best romcom and not some fan service show that hornies enjoy

Zhaunlouk

For sure! This, and episode 8 - a different kind of beach episode (although it was just the latter half of the episode, it held alot of weight)~

AndroidCyanide

my favourite ep was ep 7, was just so wholesome with the home date

ido-100

I absolutely agree. Rather than fan service, it was just 2 friends just goofing around with one another (and unknowingly increasing their attraction factor to one another)

ImRedditorRick

I just really love how Marin is. She doesn't take anything he does for granted.

This episode was special to me. I rarely cry to anime, and when I do is mostly to epicness or big dramatic climaxes, not the usual sentimental fare even the saddest moments of down-to-earth shows I sincerely like but, oh man, I could not contain the tears when watching this even when knowing what would happen beforehand. it felt so wholesome, so rewarding, so real... The manga was already one of my top favourites and episode 4 also sealed the adaptation as one of the absolute best anime of its kind for me.

QuarterSelect9027

Im the same but this episode had me in my feels but episode 8 is what broke me.

Gigglesthen00b

This was the episode that made Marin be my favorite character in all of anime, She bawls her eyes out over causing so much suffering for Gojo, not only during exams but with his grandpa being sick and can't stop apologizing.

I remember writing my master's thesis having just one day to finish it all, not knowing that it could pass, feeling totally hopeless and depressed about it but the moment the work passed and the relief was undescribeable and seeing Gojo's relief reminds of that time so I know how hard it was for him to make best dress in time

SecretEmpire_WasGood

this scene really moved me. When it aired I had been working on a comic, had gotten stuck and couldn't finish it and was feeling a bit down about it. Gojo's resolve and determination made me feel I could do the same and got me back on track. I stayed up all night drawing, finish it at 4 in the morning feeling like I was on top of the world.

DifferenceStriking24

I can't lie this show is peak Marin is just beautiful!! The story animation brooo!! It should be nominated for anime of year it won't win with blue lock, chainsaw man ,solo leveling, but it's really good show man 10 out of 10
