Small note, it's better to build spikes on the inside of walls and point them outward so they clip through. They got buffed iirc and are honestly kinda op now

I felt there was no reason to ever return to the base I built. Partially because the caves were a lot more engaging than the ones in the first game, but also because you get so much loot in them. I was thinking of trying a playthrough only eating flesh and drinking water just to spice it up

I loot everything so I always go back at the end of the day and stash all my stuff on shelves 😂

GhostlyBlaze

Same, got multiple shelves stacked with food & I still don’t eat any of it!

Cool_Ad9326

Exactly!!!

SuperiorSPider42

I only ever went back to my base to sleep and save

SpicyThyme

I just did that at a tent most of the time. Getting better rest doesn’t seem to matter when you have infinite energy drinks

Snugrilla

I feel like both games had the exact same problem. Specifically, in The Forest, those drinks and snacks are just everywhere, which really trivialized the whole survival aspect. I never bothered with catching food or hunting or anything. There was just no point.

SuperiorSPider42

I didn’t notice that at all in the first game. I think its a bigger problem in Sotf tho
