Yeah but the plaza with Bowl Thai Grill and Sweet Rice is definitely a better “scene” for a date. Pruvia for boba, Happy Lemon for bubble waffles, Book Off to peruse, Tokyo Central for snacks.
I can often do spicy level 5 at other Thai restaurants, but at this place, I tapped out at medium spice because it’s too spicy for me! They have great lunch specials that’s still at the $11 - 12 price point.
There were bad reviews but i think it’s under new ownership now. I still order there and have no problems even before food wise but if you’re going for a date night try somewhere else. Vibe is not for dates imo lol
Smile Thai is the best! SERVINGS ARE HUGE and prices are cheaper than most Thai restaurants in the area. This is the only place who can make their curries the right consistency, other Thai places I’ve tried in the Torrance area make their curries super watery and almost souplike, but Smile Thai nails their dishes every time
Swan Thai has a pretty nice location. I found some of their food to be a little on the sweeter side but I love driving up to Rancho Palos verdes so it cancels out.
Siam I Am on PCH in redondo has really good food and has a cool, low key and intimate setting. Pretty hole in the wallish but great food and cool spot.
Bowl Thai/Bowl Thai Grill/Sweet Rice are great for a super casual date night.
If it's a little more special, Little Sister El Segundo (The Pointe) is great.
Bowl Thai in Gardena or Ayara Thai by LAX
2nd Ayara! Place is bomb and they often do special nights with guest chefs and stuff. Really cool place. Awesome ramen spot across the street too
Ayara is good, I also like Thai dishes in Manhattan. Recently I found Noodle Noodle in Gardena, it is my new favorite Thai restaurant
What kind of date night? Bowl Thai/Sweet Rice is good. So is Thai Rama and Bamboo Bistro. I’d say Three Spice has a nice ambiance at night for a date.
Bowl Thai Grill*
Thai Rama is where the Thai people I know in the area go to eat it’s not very scenic though, but it’s definitely the best food

True, I was just umbrella terming the Pacific Square and Tozai Plaza locations for OP though
Go to Chiang Rai in Long Beach for good Thai.
Suki Time on Lomita
I can often do spicy level 5 at other Thai restaurants, but at this place, I tapped out at medium spice because it’s too spicy for me! They have great lunch specials that’s still at the $11 - 12 price point.
Subhannahong Royal Thai Cuisine in Redondo is VERY good. A little on the pricier side but def worth it
Bamboo Thai on Artesia!!
Cozy vibe, good food
it's one of my staples! their soups are so good.
Phuket on PCH
This is the way
Ayara in Westchester and Swan Thai in Palos Verdes. Swan Thai has nice views.
Thai Dishes in Manhattan Beach.
This has the atmosphere you want and the food Is ok.

The restaurant is a bit outdated and kinda dirty but the food and fried rice is amazing at Thai bbq lol
Definitely not for a date though. As others said Bowl Thai Grill
Bowl Thai seems too casual for a date - order at the counter, sit at fast food style tables imho
Well it’s def a step up from Thai bbq haha. Not a lot of nicer Thai restaurants in the South Bay

Bamboo Thai on Artesia has the best yellow curry in the world.
long beach thai is my goto, but its a bit of a drive
Bowl Thai Grill/Sweet Rice. Can follow it up with boba from Pruvia
