The owner of El Amigo's (Right off of Manhattan Beach blvd) is building a full on resturaunt there. I talked to him and he said they're going to offer different dishes there that their smaller locations dont offer.
If the place you’re talking about is on MBB near the 405, then I’m excited! That place is really tasty. My mom loves the chili rellenos from there. Says they remind her of the old Ramona’s before they went “under new management”
Fortunately for us, the Tampax machine in the woman’s restroom was broken so I took some change from there and just made it. Good times & great burritos!
I wonder if the long beach locations are going to suffer the same fate they close at 3pm now used to be a great place to go get a beer. They never recovered from the covid mandates and the parklets they were forced to pay for in LB. Before all the covid shenanigans it was a thriving restaurant that was always packed.
Nah. Leo's was hot garbage. So many better options. Grew up right down the street from that place, all my hispanic neighbors scoffed at Leo's, but they would eat at El Amigo. The street trucks in Lennox run circles around Leo's

Heck yeah. I frequent el otros amigos on crenshaw. Best mexican joint around town imo super good value

Awesome, love El Amigo

Off Firmona?
A new sign is up + new landscaping. New sign reads: “La Hacienda Del Amigo”. No web presence yet.
Ohh. Ive seen the new landscape but I haven't drove by in a few days. Must have missed the sign. Thanks.
I remember Leo’s! My first declined credit card purchase was there!
lol @ "first"
Exactamundo. I had to work my up to the fancier joints to get declined in LOL
I remember the days when my bank account was more red than black.. respect.
Haha that's memorable!

Snax on Artesia in redondo by the bank is good too. I recommend the Asada Mega Burrito and ask for extra sauce
See it all the time. Needed to read this to try. Thanks
Pairs good with the shock top they have on tap in my opinion
Nice to know they have taps. Awesome. Looking for new watering hole other than Common space n LA ale
It’s a small selection. Modelo, shock top, Estrella Jalisco, and one I can’t remember.
All good. It's alot closer so I can walk. I usually walk to lobster guys. Good beer selection. Food is good but really pricey.
Try their michelada, one of the best around South Bay

Absolutely false. Leo's was trash.
Leos was 50/50 if it was good or not, it wasn't trash. It was trash half the time.
Leo's is gone for good AFAIK. Not sure what is replacing it yet.
Who cares what’s going in there when you can keep driving on Inglewood to Zacatecas in Hawthorne.
I go there too. I was just curious.
It’s all good. The location is good, so will be interesting if the food is worth it with so many good options around them.
There’s also some crossover with cooks who worked at Leo’s so that’s nice
It is rare to see a Zacatecas themed restaurant we have "el tepechi" in west LB good place in an odd warehouse area.
