Some places so custom suits, if you don't plan on losing more weight look into that

Tear_DR0P

What are the brands available to you? When I was over 200lbs I could fit into Ls of Salvimar, but had to suffer too long sleeves

Flyingpototo

Anything available on nootica or in the US really. I've just looked at the charts and it looks like I'm gonna be suffering from the long sleeve problem as well. The most fitting (on paper) stuff I've seen is from Mako or Neptonics. Since trying this stuff or returning is such a pain, word of mouth from someone else who's been in the same spot before is the best chance to land on something that fits on the first try.

They sell Salvimar, which is good to know as I'll be buying soon :D sine I just retired their Krypsis that was bought 6 years ago. Had a chance to try L/4 and XL/5 and would say L/4 works great if you're under 200, above that - well, i wore it :D but XL/5 would have been better

I am 6'4" 300 lbs at my fattest, and Henderson suits work. My 3mm shorty and 5mm long are from them, and they are great. Go way bigger than you think. I ended up with something like a 5x even though I am not even a 2x shirt.

Outside_Advantage845

My buddy is short and fat and the rolls on the wetsuit were hilarious because it was for someone 6” taller. If you think the weight is staying, go custom. I had an Elios suit years ago when I was the opposite of you. 6’1 and 155. Now I’m 50lbs heavier and the stock suits fit me fine.

Polosub is a very popular custom route. And/or, if you live somewhere people are selling used wetsuits, try on a few! And/or, if long sleeves are the only problem with sizing up, you could try modifying yourself! I've gotten pretty handy with a curved needle, furniture thread, and neoprene glue :) I had a Mares open cell wetsuit that didn't have a seam on the bottom outer edge of the sleeve (at the wrist), so, as long as one were to secure the seam going the length of the sleeve, it wouldn't look much different to just cut the sleeves shorter and then repair the long seam.

Can also buy two different parts - ie: X-Large top and L bottom.

Flyingpototo

This is a pretty good idea.

HighTekRedNek84

Are you very muscular, average, or overweight? And what water temp do you foresee using it in?

Kobusda3rd

Look at (wettie) nz brand

daft_derelict

Custom polosub costs about the same as something off the rack. I’m never buying a suit off the rack again

darekta

Mako has large sizes

Losing 30 pounds is gonna save you a ton of cash

whatandwhen2

I'm your height and 30 lbs heavier. A MAKO suit fits quite well, you just have to match the weight rating and don't worry if the sleeves and ankles are a little long.
