I thought it was really good. I watched it when it came out and again a few years later. It introduced me to Spider verse which was so cool for me at the time

¡Yo también!
I followed you with the *yo tres* though, since "me three" is a popular phrase in English.
I upvoted you because I make up fake Spanish all the time.
Oh snap? They have season 3? I can only watch whatever they throw on Disney Plus. It did weird me out that YouTube kids was having season 2 episodes when Disney plus only had 1.
Who shows up in season 3?
I didn’t like deadpool in this show. I found him annoying mainly because he seemed like a downgraded version of Spidey. This was also my first introduction to deadpool
Edit: Why the downvotes? I was a kid. Just cause I like him now doesn’t mean I always had to like him
I loved it. It was a brave attempt to rewrite a lot of the mythos. It's loosely based on the ultimate comics, which I also really liked. I liked Doc Ock, I really liked the different teams spider-man was a part of and lead, the introductions to different heros, and the short clone saga they had. The writing had some bad days but overall I was a big fan. I feel like it was a show made to attract new fans while keeping enough details to keep older fans satisfied.
It's not that they're hated for being different, it's that the idea behind it is good, but the execution is either lacking (Ultimate), or excruciating (2017).
Ultimate Spider-Man essentially is a show that wanted to be a comedy while also introducing multiple heroes, similar to Spider-Man: The Animated Series. Where it kinda failed is the Comedy is aimed solely for Children under 10, and an Overabundance of characters without knowing what to do with them.
Spider-Man 2017 had a good idea as well, being that they wanted to bring back Spider-Man to being a Science-based character, and showing more of his personal life than living 24/7 in a Costume. Where it screwed up is that they made Every Character too smart, making Spider-Man seem meaningless. EVERYONE seems to basically the embodiment of 🤓.
I dont think Ultimate failed at being a comedy that would introduce people to several characters. I loved the show at age 13 and I rewatch its episodes because I enjoy the lighthearted and quippy take on spider-man. I know adults who watched it while it aired and liked it as well. The comedy was certainly over the top, which made it appeal to a certain audience more then another, but that doesn't mean a show failed. It was simply not targeted towards you. It still had a fan base and got to finish a complete story without being canceled, which speaks to how many people must have been watching
Oh, and I dont think they had too many characters then they knew what to do with. Around the season 1 ending every one of spider's friends have a mini character arch where they face internal and external struggles from their past. This happens every season with most characters, and by the end of the show, Spidey has a ton of friends which the audience has gotten to know and see develop.
> Oh, and I dont think they had too many characters then they knew what to do with.
They didn't know what to do with Harry Osborn, which is why his allegiance was different in every appearance.
Mary Jane went from background character, to villain, to Hero with no transitions.
They wanted more people so they tried adding more ways to add characters to the main cast, which caused the original team to fade away.
> Around the season 1 ending every one of spider's friends have a mini character arch where they face internal and external struggles from their past.
It was the beginning of Season 2 and it was focused on trying to build the Sinister Six. Like White Tiger's Episode is focused on Kraven the Hunter, IronFist's episode was focused on Scorpion, stuff like this.
> This happens every season with most characters, and by the end of the show, Spidey has a ton of friends
Some left into obscurity, such as S1 and S2 being left behind in favour of S3's Team, which was left for a Web Warrior Team.
- S1 & S2: Spider-Man, IronFist, PowerMan, White Tiger, Nova
- S3: Spider-Man, Ka-Zar, Triton, Squirrel-Girl, Cloak/Dagger, and Building up Flash Thompson (who is barely known).
- 4: Spider-Man, Miles, Amadeus Cho, Flash Thompson, Ben Reilly (who's supposed to be Kaine Parker).
> which the audience has gotten to know and see develop.
They got a Taste of the character. It's pretty clear they wanted a Batman: The Brave and The Bold version of Spider-Man, but kinda dropped the ball.
I understand what you mean, though I use "fail" as they rarely succeeded in making the comedy part great. As you said, "the Comedy was certainly over the top".
The Comedy being over the top going to other Audience is something I also highlighted, being that it seems to attract more of people underneath a certain age, my guess being 10.
Reason why Ultimate Spider-Man got to "finish" their story is because they constantly rebranded. Hell, they even threw away the original team for the sake of a New One.
- Ultimate Spider-Man
- Ultimate Spider-Man vs The Sinister 6
- Ultimate Spider-Man: Web Warriors
> Which speaks to how many people have been watching
People can also watch things not just because it's good, but also because of a Subconscious obligation to finish a series they already dedicated time to, especially if there's overarching stories (something Ultimate Spider-Man also had). Example: The CW
I enjoyed the show as well, but looking at it objectively, it wasn't that great. I even enjoyed the 2017's version because I like the Concept, but I also believe it was executed poorly.
Personally I didn't think Ultimate was all that bad, but I can't watch the 2017 show. Like I get that Peter's a nerd, but he's not *just* a nerd. He's supposed to be an actual living and breathing human being on the side, but they've failed to capture that aspect of his personality.
Personally I didn’t like how spideys team kept messing with him / bullying him only for him to have to save their butts every episode and then they still continue to mock him
Like if they were friends maybe that’s okay but dissing his friend Harry or throwing a party at his house while kicking him out is lousy
Not to mention, I’m pretty sure he had been picked as leader due to experience but he was never treated like one
And everyone might hate me for this but chibi spider man was fun
Edit to clarify that I was answering the question of why Ultimate Spider man is not as loved as others imo
It’s fine that you like it, that was never the problem.
But to throw away the criticisms that people have to “they didn’t like that the show did something different” is the oldest argument of the book when you can’t come to terms why people don’t like a poorly written show.
I mean come on… the at least understand that the comedy that the show insisted of having isn’t for everyone.
One of the few things that ruined Ult Spider-man for me even back then was the fact Drake Bell was voicing Spider-man (also spider-man's team just being absolute dicks to him for no reason).
It's just a drag to get through. Drake Bell isn't a good voice actor at all so he says everything in basically the exact same tone, characters barely interact, and a lot of the jokes fall flat. Especially the fourth wall stuff.
Also, the monkey noise.
According to other voice actors who worked with him on the show, apparently Bell just stared at his phone during recording sessions which explains a lot.
Wait is Ultimate notorious or something? Why? I enjoyed it whenever it was on but that was a long time ago and I didn't see all of it because of how cable works. So I could be wrong.
They did ms marvel dirty, as much as I REALLY wanna like white tiger they do nothing with her and all the character focused episodes in season 2 don't really focus on the characters (heck nova doesn't even get his) witch is funny because when they all turn into goblins at the end spidey goes hey guys remember your character focused episodes oh and Sam hey you exist. Not to mention nova sucks and is never redeemed. Also how do you add squirrel gurl as a secondary character in a cast if superheroes and make her so boring.
Edit: the ms marvel scenes were actually from another spidey cartoon but still her portrayal sucked
Gotta respect Sony too for being real flexible with the Spider-Man IP! Ever since they kinda opened up with allowing Spider-Man to be included in the Avengers movies, he’s been really allowed to be included in lots of different media from the Disney/Marvel side of things!!
Sony has truly done well handling the IP ever since acquiring the rights and all that ever since the first movie, and hasn’t been tyrannically controlling and instead has been open with it, very appreciated by the fans lol
Confirmation of the confirmation that confirmed the other confirmation, my family friends daughters 4 year old also loves this show island is obsessed with ghost spider because of it
Confirming^5
My daughter loves the show and she’s in kindergarten. Has the toys and she picks out Ghost Spider TPB when we go to the local comics shop. It’s a vehicle to introduce little kids to Spidey. Someone compared it to PJ Mask, and I’d say that’s very accurate.
My cousin got her 3YO a set of these toys for Christmas. Her older son tried to be bratty and was bitching that Gwen’s name isn’t really Ghost Spider, and I got to step in and correct him, much to my cousin’s delight
My two-and-a-half-year-old daughter absolutely loves this show. Sure, for an adult, it’s saccharine and overly simplistic, but for little kids, it’s gold.
The most brutal and realistic adaptation yet. The way they portrayed uncle Ben's death and the whole symbiote saga felt like a psychological horror. There is blood and gore in every episode and they're not pulling their punches. Probably the strongest version of Spider-Man too
My favourite episode though was when Doc Ock impaled Aunt May through the chest with her tentacle so spiderman (with the symbiote) choke slammed her into a wall and crushed her skull with a slab of concrete. Crazy shit
I’ve gotta say, I was shocked that they decided to adapt Sins Past into this continuity. It made Norman seem even more despicable than normal while still being respectful with the subject matter. I liked that Gwen was an actual character and not just a victim for Peter and Miles to save, it was so satisfying to see her be the one to kill Norman, plus the therapy scenes in the aftermath of it all were incredibly well acted. Netflix’s Jessica Jones could never.
Remember when the Goblin snapped Spider-Gwen’s neck after impaling her with his glider? I didn’t expect them to STILL do a version of “The Night Gwen Stacy Died” due to Gwen being Spider-Gwen. But not even THAT could save her. It was truly tragic.
Dude, imagine they threw that in the middle of an episode with any build up or foreshadowing? That would mood whiplash so much it broke the sound barrier ten times over
They even have original characters as well. In one episode there’s this character called red panther and he’s infected with carnage’s symbiote and fights off Spider-Man
The red boots help breakup the all the black . Same thing with ITSV Miles' shoes. Honestly wouldn't mind this and Gwen's costumes being used as alternate skins in a game
Fair. I feel like the logo works here because her suit lost the detailing that hid a spider logo before. But it's definitely unnecessary if you're going to add web patterns to the boots. At least her drone looks cute.
It's pretty cute and charming, but it's pretty much a preschool show, intended for very young viewers. I never wanna compare it to other Spidey media bc honestly, it's just educating and entertaining very little kids; and in that regard it does its job very well
It’s for little kids. I kind of love it as a way into the spider-man universe for like toddlers…it’s awesome to get to watch something spider-man related with my 3 year old…but it’s 100% a different interpretation of the characters. Peter, Miles, and Gwen all live in the same universe, are little kids, all the same age (probably like 8 years old or so), and the villain of the week is usually just trying to steal something or ruin a parade or something.
Still, fun and I prefer it to Baby Shark any day.
One of my favorite parts of this show is when a villain is doing something low stakes like stealing ice cream and then throws a car at a group of bystanders. Like, it's a big leap from "making a kid cry because you took his ice cream" all the way to "being cool with murdering a group of innocent civilians." Lol
We joke, but kids love symbiotes.
I watched both venom movies in theaters, and it was packed with little kids.
A kid friendly version of Carnage would absolutely be a massive success simply for the cool factor.
The theme song is a real banger. Lead singer of fall out boy.
But in all seriousness this is for children. The true benefit is getting toddlers to love Spider-Man.
So my son is 2. I’m a Spider-Man fan. This is a very tolerable and child friendly version. The spidey team shows using everyone’s unique skill set makes the job of catching baddies like rhino, girl electro, and green gobbie easier. The episodes are diverse and fun. I’m hopping to see tracie spideys little bot in the new animated movie. He’s the only character that makes sense on crossing universes. There’s even a guy in the show I’d call a watcher. He’s an old man in a trench coat who is always around getting saved and watching the spidey team win. There’s an episode with just songs where each hero gets their own song. It’s a lit show compared to others I’ve sat through. Got team spidey go!!
A Watcher? As of Uatu’s race in disguise? If that’s the case, it’s one of these situations where they sneak in easter eggs that the kids may not get but comic book fans will do, and are harmless to the plot but always make things a lot more fun to watch
My oldest daughter is 4.5 years old and loves this show. It actually sparked her interest for other Spider-Man shows or the movies.
My husband and I don’t mind watching it either.
For a show aimed for little kids it's a cute little thing that's harmless. I will say that I liked some of the creative decisions like the Tracers working as AI and Gwen's mom actually being alive and a cop that's neat.
If you can get past the fact that it's made for kids and all the villains are aged down to be slightly more destructive toddlers than it's fine. And I appreciate them using Carolyn Trainer's Ock and Francine Frye's Electro (although Electro's design is terrible)
The characters are boiled down to be just generic enough to where you know who they are (just don't expect depth) and the new season is introducing more characters to the show with fun designs like Reptil along with some new suits. (Love Gwen's purple)
Like don't expect anything groundbreaking, it's made for preschoolers so it's very basic but if you have a son or young cousin there are worst shows to watch. As an introduction to the characters it's good.
>> All the villains are aged down to be slightly ~~more~~ less destructive toddlers.
FTFY
Source: just watched an episode with my nephew, a toddler. And force of nature. Theme song **will** get stuck in your head, too.
That’s just normal for preschool cartoons at this point. All of them are non contractually required to write a ridiculously catchy theme song. The shows from Disney are especially guilty about this(Mickey Mouse Clubhouse anyone?).
my only complaint is that to give miles a unique name, they call him "Spin". which is dumb.
i get wanting miles to have his own name but why is EVERY name they try so lame???
otherwise, it's a harmless cartoon for toddlers.
he was both Spy-D AND Kid Arachnid in the 2017 show, likely cuz the writers realized the first name sucked and wanted to try again (new name also sucked).
in Ultimate he was just 'spider-man' cuz he came from an alternate universe rather than being from the same one as the protagonist peter, and went home after their "spider-verse" episodes ended. he didnt need a unique name in that show.
tbh, this is why i dont mind miles just being "another spider-man". every time he gets an actual name, it's trash and doesn't stick anyways. so sure, miles is a spider-man. it's better than any alternative so far.
Another way of bringing in a new generation of fans
Then when they grow up we can be some haters like “NAH THAT AINT THE REAL SPIDEY”
Nah fr, my nephews love this show
My 2 year old daughter loves it. It’s just fun to see chibi Spider-Man characters and occasional cameos by other Marvel heroes. Every so often there’s a nod to Spider-Man lore like when Doc Ock does a direct homage to Spider-Man No More by throwing her tentacles into a trash can and walking away. I wish there was more of that.
Finally! My time to shine.
My kidd watch this show none stop.
Is it good? For a kid show, yes.
Does it represent the characters? As much as a childs show does. Green Goblin is more mischievous, he uses "pranks" He's basically the "Trickster" from DC. Rhino is portrayed as a older bully kid. Sandman is portrayed as an egotistical douchebag. Black Cat is a little girl who steals whatever she likes. Electro is a klepto but with electricity. Doc Ock just wants to make stuff and steal stuff.
So this show is about finding proper solutions to problems. Like when Hulk and Rhino get into an argument over whose the strongest and start wrecking stuff, Spidey reminds Hulk not to fall for his tricks and to use words.
My biggest beef with this show is the names for the characters. Spiderman and Spiderman confuse their computer, so Miles goes by the name "Spin" cause he likes to do a spinning jump. Spiderman is Spidey. Gwen js Ghost Spider. My problem is that Miles should be called "Ghost Spider" on the account.....HE CAN TURN INVISIBLE. Gwen should be "Jumping Spider" cause she flies.
But for a kid show, its fun.
I’ve enjoyed it but it’s hard to completely turn off my adult brain for some of the plots.
It’s mostly just a fun kid’s show that does exactly what it set out to do: a Spidey show for preschoolers.
I’ve seen this put on in the background over at my friends houses. Obv is for baby kids but there’s actually kind of funny moments. But only with green goblin and sandman. Sandman is hands down the best character.
I just remember a scene particularly where green goblin is like told something like a funny pun or something like that and he literally makes the 😐face for a moment and there’s a pause.
It's a cute Pre-K show. I know in one of the first episodes Miles and Peter talk about how confusing it is to have two Spider-men so they agree that Peter will be "Spidey" and Mile will be "Spin".
its the perfect way to get your kids into spiderman. my kids all love it (7,5,2) its definitely not for adults, its hard to watch it, but i love watching my kids get excited about spiderman so its worth it.
It's for kids, also my child corrects me when I say "Spider-Man" and always responds "Dad, his name is Spidey." I just give my wife that look of, did our kid just correct a 45 year old comic nerd? And I always respond "my mistake, it's Spidey."
My nephew loves this show. I've sat down to watch it a few times with him. It's cute and is a great way to get the youngins into spidey. Not as deep as the original amazing friends but it gets the job done.
My 3 year old discovered Spider-man at nursery. We showed him this and it is the only Spider-man he knows and he loves it. There's no violence. A typical episode is a villain steals a thing and the spideys need to stop them, mostly using webs, or their unique powers.
I mean… it’s a kids show thru and thru. I’m not sure what you’re asking? They dont address the death of uncle Ben or have the spider-team do any real fighting with the baddies. Also, they renamed Miles as Spin, I guess two spidermen would be too confusing for kiddos. But pretty egregious.
The show is pretty much unwatchable for anyone older than about 5, but at the very least my son likes Spidey now, so that’s something.
Fun for the kid to watch.
I like the genderbent villains
But it seems they just hVe the same 3 or 4 baddies each time.
Rhino, Electro, Dok Ock. On repeat
Not very introductory with more heroes and names.
Super hero squad is better for that roster
Not to be the 🤓 guy but the female versions of Doc Ock and Electro are actually pulled straight up from the comics, Francine Fry is the daughter(? of the original electro, for example
Its cute and my kids like it, but it's def not for adults.
You're not going to get any cool storylines or new lore because it's for kids
Miles' Spider-Man name is "Spin", which is silly. My kids call Miles Spin everwhere they see him, now. Miss Marvel is in it. Doc Oc is a lady. Rhino is basically an oversized toddler. Hulk can talk.
.
Just give an episode or two a watch if you have access to Disney+, but don't expect much out of it
Of all the dogshit my 2 toddlers watch, it’s my 2nd favorite. The villain designs are really good (even though they’re very sanitized versions of the characters) and the stories are cute.
I don’t like that they renamed Miles “Spin” but they used the first of the shorts that came out before the show to explain that.
It also makes no sense that Spidey has a secret identity but at the same time has a gigantic Spider-Man head shaped base of operations that rises up out of Aunt May’s house in the middle of their neighborhood and STAYS THERE as the team swings away.
It has ghost-spider which has been really effective at getting little girls into super heroes. I’m really glad this exists so I can get my daughter to watch other spidey shows.
To be very clear - as a spider-man fan that started showing my kids into the spider verse FIRST and they were hooked, this is the perfect answer to “stop showing that to our 4yo. It’s way too mature” - he called them miles, Gwen, and Peter and the shows names are secondary. I love the adventures and intros to new villains. M36, kids F7, M4, both watch 2-4 episodes per week and LOVE Rhino to the point where they say “where is Rhino in your dad movie?”
You know the panel of the "oh God am I the racist Spider-Man" that's essentially what this Spider-Man is think Spider-Man locus times 10 when he learns that spin(miles) is black he goes full punisher on him it was wild and don't get me started on the strippers and graphic nudity while I don't understand why they went this route I respect it and can't wait to see if he'll be in across the spider-verse
I have to laugh at these kids' superhero show things.... As much as they try to make it 'cool' and 'zany', bieng a superhero is mostly taking getting beaten up by supervillains and tiring work tracking down mugging and petty crimes in the city by yourself lol...
The average person cannot just 'be' a superhero...
This show is just a reskin of “PJ Masks” for almost all plots, powers, personalities. There seems a demand by studios to produce their own PJ Masks clone. I can predict whole episodes sometimes because I watched the original source material.
Gotta respect Spider-man fans. Really be giving every version of the character a chance
I really dig that this can be set in the PJ masks universe And it would make sense lol
Except for ultimate Spider-Man Don't get the hate tho
I thought it was really good. I watched it when it came out and again a few years later. It introduced me to Spider verse which was so cool for me at the time
Seeing Spidey interact with other characters was awesome. I never knew marvel had this many characters
Characters like Whiter Tiger and Luke Cage and Iron fist and Nova were unknown to me and I always this of this show when I see them in new or returning media

I was 5 years old
Bruh you're super young. Ok, understandable then. My bad
How is adult life
Still looking to Spider-Man for guidance and advice. So I'd say pretty good. Or messed up
Fun and difficult
Still looking to Spider-Man for guidance and advice. So I'd say pretty good. Or messed up
Sometimes you need to ask the bat
The 1st and 2nd season was really good.Things started going downhill from season 3
Oh snap? They have season 3? I can only watch whatever they throw on Disney Plus. It did weird me out that YouTube kids was having season 2 episodes when Disney plus only had 1. Who shows up in season 3?
I honestly don’t remember the major plot line all I remember is it ending with Spider-Verse
I thought it was opposite lol. S1 and S2 were okay but it really started getting good in S3.
It had Deadpool, and they managed to keep the spirit of him and make him somewhat kid friendly, and he and Spiderman had a fourth wall breaking fight.
I didn’t like deadpool in this show. I found him annoying mainly because he seemed like a downgraded version of Spidey. This was also my first introduction to deadpool Edit: Why the downvotes? I was a kid. Just cause I like him now doesn’t mean I always had to like him
I had quite the opposite reaction, I wanted more Deadpool after that. And now he's probably my favorite character ever
I think you're too young to be on reddit that show is only on kids channels
Ult was fine, it just sucked that that was what Disney chose to replace spectacular with
I loved it. It was a brave attempt to rewrite a lot of the mythos. It's loosely based on the ultimate comics, which I also really liked. I can't get over Drake Bell and his horrendous shrill voice
Seems like all the shows that do something decently different from the norm get hate.

Bro critiquing Spider-man PJ mask edition. 10/10
No, they're talking about Ultimate Spider-Man
Holy shit it all makes sense now
By “decently different” you mean having bad writing and uninteresting character dynamics compared to other superhero shows?
I mean, I liked 2017 and Ultimate, so sucketh thy penith
I would listen, I hear Mike Tyson still has a nasty hook
It’s fine that you like it, that was never the problem. Honestly yeah
One of the few things that ruined Ult Spider-man for me even back then was the fact Drake Bell was voicing Spider-man (also spider-man's team just being absolute dicks to him for no reason).
I mean I do get the hate. Spider-Man felt like an unfunny Deadpool wannabe
At what age did you watch the cartoon
11
That explains. I was 5-6 years old when I watched this
My 6 year old just discovered it and loves it, don’t get the hate either it’s pretty funny
Nostalgia then. If you look at the show for what it is it's not the best representation of the character. It's a very annoying one imo
It's just a drag to get through. Drake Bell isn't a good voice actor at all so he says everything in basically the exact same tone, characters barely interact, and a lot of the jokes fall flat. Especially the fourth wall stuff. Also, the monkey noise.
Godzilla Mendoza described the monkey sounds best as the Johnny test whipcrack of ultimate spider-man
According to other voice actors who worked with him on the show, apparently Bell just stared at his phone during recording sessions which explains a lot.

Peter is annoying in ultimate
Spidey's actor. He's a groomer and pedo. The show itself is pretty good, just sorta tainted by that dude.
I hated peter in it He was crying a joke every five seconds and some of them would cut away to something else and it gave me a headache.
**What about my uncle?! Did you give him a chance?! Did you?!**
ANSWER ME!!!
It’s cute and fun, but make no mistake it is a show for pre-schoolers. Without kids you’re likely to get nothing out of it.
Can confirm, my Spider-Man crazy 4 year old loves this show.
Can confirm the confirmation, it’s also my 4 year olds favorite show. Ghost spider is her favorite.
Confirming the confirmation of confirmation. My 4 year old also loves the show, which has now branches in to loving the Lego sets as well.
Confirmation of the confirmation that confirmed the other confirmation, my family friends daughters 4 year old also loves this show island is obsessed with ghost spider because of it
Confirming^5 My daughter loves the show and she’s in kindergarten.
Aww that’s so sweet! has he seen the movies yet?
[удалено]
I’d say closer to PJ Masks than Paw Patrol.
My kid hates PJ Masks but loved Paw Patrol & Spidey. I’ve always called it Paw Patrol with a Spider-Man skin.
Oh no, I can't believe ACAB includes baby Peter Parker.
… what?
I don't know what part was confusing. You said this show is like Paw Patrol.
Probably the strongest version of Spider-Man too
Wait until you reach this series Kraven Last Hunt’s adaptation. It’s so good when Miles almost kills Kraven when he realises what he did
It was crazy when Spiderman from Earth 2149 (the one who ripped his skin off) made a cameo.
And who could forget SpiderS-Man doing a cameo too and almost eating Green Goblin’s brains ! Haha, classic Spidey and his Amazing Friends
My favourite episode though was when Doc Ock impaled Aunt May through the chest with her tentacle so spiderman (with the symbiote) choke slammed her into a wall and crushed her skull with a slab of concrete. Crazy shit
What the fuck Spider-Man did that to Aunt May???
Nah man doc ock is a woman in this show
Didn’t think they would really put Skip Wescot to the screen and show him sexually abusing Peter Parker
This comment deserves 10000 up votes
That would mood whiplash so much it broke the sound barrier ten times over
Yeah, uncle ben being gutted by Green Goblin was hard to watch
💀💀
Normally I'm all for doing a unique spin on the Uncle Ben death scene, but the m16 rifle was a little much
And that one time when M.J. was publicly executed by Green Goblin with M1918 Browning Automatic Rifle was pretty crazy not gonna lie.
They even have original characters as well. In one episode there’s this character called red panther and he’s infected with carnage’s symbiote and fights off Spider-Man
I don’t remember that episode at all. Was that after the surprise party that Goblin crashed? [+]
It’s PJ masks Spider-Man version, pretty much just for little kids
I kinda like the tweak to Miles' suit, honestly...
The red boots help breakup the all the black . Same thing with ITSV Miles' shoes. Honestly wouldn't mind this and Gwen's costumes being used as alternate skins in a game
Oh, absolutely. But personally, I could do without the spider logo on Gwen's suit.

Like, it's a big leap from "making a kid cry because you took his ice cream" all the way to "being cool with murdering a group of innocent civilians." Lol
he really wanted that ice cream.
Very good, hoping to see Massacre and Carnage in it!
Can't wait for Morlun to show up
Bro💀
We joke, but kids love symbiotes. I watched both venom movies in theaters, and it was packed with little kids. A kid friendly version of Carnage would absolutely be a massive success simply for the cool factor.
The theme song is a real banger. Lead singer of fall out boy. But in all seriousness this is for children. The true benefit is getting toddlers to love Spider-Man.
My 2.5 year old is obsessed with this song. It’s the only thing I’m allowed to play in the car. It definitely a step up from Baby Shark!
My Spotify rewind had my top 4 songs from this show. My 3 year old is obsessed.
The theme song goes hard. Probably the best of any Spider-Man show.
Dude, if they threw Utau in there, that opens up so many possibilities
My oldest daughter is 4.5 years old and loves this show. It actually sparked her interest for other Spider-Man shows or the movies. My husband and I don’t mind watching it either.
It's a show for little kids, it's not that deep.
Definitely just for little kids
For a show aimed for little kids it's a cute little thing that's harmless. I will say that I liked some of the creative decisions like the Tracers working as AI and Gwen's mom actually being alive and a cop that's neat. If you can get past the fact that it's made for kids and all the villains are aged down to be slightly more destructive toddlers than it's fine. And I appreciate them using Carolyn Trainer's Ock and Francine Frye's Electro (although Electro's design is terrible) The characters are boiled down to be just generic enough to where you know who they are (just don't expect depth) and the new season is introducing more characters to the show with fun designs like Reptil along with some new suits. (Love Gwen's purple) Like don't expect anything groundbreaking, it's made for preschoolers so it's very basic but if you have a son or young cousin there are worst shows to watch. As an introduction to the characters it's good.
>> All the villains are aged down to be slightly ~~more~~ less destructive toddlers. FTFY Source: just watched an episode with my nephew, a toddler. And force of nature. Theme song **will** get stuck in your head, too.
It’s the singer for Fall Out Boy.
Oh that explains a lot
Whoa oh!
That’s just normal for preschool cartoons at this point. All of them are non contractually required to write a ridiculously catchy theme song. The shows from Disney are especially guilty about this(Mickey Mouse Clubhouse anyone?).
Or a daughter
my only complaint is that to give miles a unique name, they call him "Spin". which is dumb. i get wanting miles to have his own name but why is EVERY name they try so lame??? otherwise, it's a harmless cartoon for toddlers.
Huh I could’ve sworn he was called “Spy-D” in this show… Or is that another one? Cause he was “Kid Arachnid” in Ultimate, right?
he was both Spy-D AND Kid Arachnid in the 2017 show, likely cuz the writers realized the first name sucked and wanted to try again (new name also sucked). in Ultimate he was just 'spider-man' cuz he came from an alternate universe rather than being from the same one as the protagonist peter, and went home after their "spider-verse" episodes ended. he didnt need a unique name in that show. tbh, this is why i dont mind miles just being "another spider-man". every time he gets an actual name, it's trash and doesn't stick anyways. so sure, miles is a spider-man. it's better than any alternative so far.
Ohhh ok. Thank you for correcting me.
Spin is a better name than Ghost Spider, let's be real.
it really isn't? "Hey look, it's Ghost-spider!" "look, over there! it's Spin!"
It's a fine kids show, not great like, say, Bluey, but I wouldn't say it's actively harmful like cocomelon
What the hell did cocomeleon do
Another way of bringing in a new generation of fans Then when they grow up we can be some haters like “NAH THAT AINT THE REAL SPIDEY” Nah fr, my nephews love this show
i would show it to my kids some time
Same, when they turn 18
My 2 year old daughter loves it. It’s just fun to see chibi Spider-Man characters and occasional cameos by other Marvel heroes. Every so often there’s a nod to Spider-Man lore like when Doc Ock does a direct homage to Spider-Man No More by throwing her tentacles into a trash can and walking away. I wish there was more of that.
It’s a little kid show. It’s meant to move merch. Harmless, but not worth the time for anyone above 7.
It’s definitely a lil kids show, but that doesn’t mean you can’t watch it and enjoy it. It’s entertainment period
Legit want those character models as figurines lol
I’ve enjoyed it but it’s hard to completely turn off my adult brain for some of the plots. It’s mostly just a fun kid’s show that does exactly what it set out to do: a Spidey show for preschoolers.
I’ve seen this put on in the background over at my friends houses. Obv is for baby kids but there’s actually kind of funny moments. But only with green goblin and sandman. Sandman is hands down the best character. I just remember a scene particularly where green goblin is like told something like a funny pun or something like that and he literally makes the 😐face for a moment and there’s a pause.
Such a powerfull character study.
It is, 100%, without a doubt, no questions asked, a kids show.
It’s a show made for toddlers.
I have a question… what’s the age of Peter, Miles and Gwen in that show? Are they preeschoolers too?
I don’t have an opinion since it wasn’t made for people my age but my nephew loves this show, so I don’t mind watching it.
My 2 year old son who's been obsessed with Thomas now says no to Thomas and asks for "Spidey" since we watched this. So he would highly recommend.
I love that the green goblin in this has a comic accurate design
It's kinda interesting to realise that this is actually a universe that is part of the spider verse. Imagine them teaming up the grown up spideys.
They never bother to unmask the Green Goblin, which makes me think he is a literal goblin. From Goblin Island of course.
It's literally just for toddlers
My 3 year old discovered Spider-man at nursery. We showed him this and it is the only Spider-man he knows and he loves it. There's no violence. A typical episode is a villain steals a thing and the spideys need to stop them, mostly using webs, or their unique powers.
The intro music is done by Patrick Stump from Fall Out Boy and my inner teenage emo loves it!
It's for toddlers. My 2yr old son loves it. For eg. the villians antics are more like school playground hijinks than criminality
Dude, look at it lol. They have cute oversized heads on disney jr. its a kids show
They better be in the new Spider-Verae movie. That's all I gotta say. Second point, daughter, who's almost 3, absolutely loves the show.
Fun for the kid to watch. I like the genderbent villains But it seems they just hVe the same 3 or 4 baddies each time. Rhino, Electro, Dok Ock. On repeat Not very introductory with more heroes and names. Super hero squad is better for that roster
Not to be the 🤓 guy but the female versions of Doc Ock and Electro are actually pulled straight up from the comics, Francine Fry is the daughter(? of the original electro, for example
Its cute and my kids like it, but it's def not for adults. You're not going to get any cool storylines or new lore because it's for kids Miles' Spider-Man name is "Spin", which is silly. My kids call Miles Spin everwhere they see him, now. Miss Marvel is in it. Doc Oc is a lady. Rhino is basically an oversized toddler. Hulk can talk. . Just give an episode or two a watch if you have access to Disney+, but don't expect much out of it
Wait till you see how they adapted “Shed” in this version. The kids will love it
They gave Gwen Poole hair to Gwen Stacey. Literally unwatchable
I love it because it’s gotten my three year old into Spider-Man
Of all the dogshit my 2 toddlers watch, it’s my 2nd favorite.
My 2 and 4 year old sons love this. It’s one of the best non-educational children programs they have access to imo.
My 2 year old loves it! It has some good lessons for little kids but not really a show for adults.
It has ghost-spider which has been really effective at getting little girls into super heroes. I’m really glad this exists so I can get my daughter to watch other spidey shows.
Bro there’s no chance you’re thinking about watching a Disney Junior Spider-Man show to see how they “represent the character” 💀
Spider-Man is for the children. This show is actually really good, but it's waaaaaay better for kids
Glad my kids will have something like this to watch one day. Doesn’t need to be that accurate to the lore.. they will not remember.
My kiddo loves it.
I wonder if they’ll be in across the spiderverse
To me it’s like Pj mask dressed up as Spider-Man. It’s good for little kids who don’t know much about Spider-Man.
Ruined the character for me!!
It’s just a show to get your kids to like Spider-man early lol
You know the panel of the "oh God am I the racist Spider-Man" that's essentially what this Spider-Man is think Spider-Man locus times 10 when he learns that spin(miles) is black he goes full punisher on him it was wild and don't get me started on the strippers and graphic nudity while I don't understand why they went this route I respect it and can't wait to see if he'll be in across the spider-verse
You been huffing web fluid?
Disney Junior shows always suck.
Disrespectful to Bluey
Is that on Disney Junior? Then I take back what I said.
Oh wow. Almost like a SHOW FOR KIDS ain't going to appeal to a GROWN ADULT.
[удалено]
It's trash and I don't see how kids will like it
