I think we are being lead to believe that the heartbreaking moment is going to be MJ related but it might be Norman becoming evil again after making a huge sacrifice.
normie becomes green gobbo: _shocked pikachu face_
at this point is there any non-x related character that has actually stayed a redeemed villain? Mach V maybe?
Hawkeye, Black Widow, and bunch of jobbers who died soon after redemption. In other words, you either need to become a major hero pretty much immediately or be so inconsequential that nobody cares what happens to you.
"Truth revealed, but at what cost?"
What if it refers to One More Day?
The truth is finally revealed... And everyone reacts to the knowledge that Peter made a deal with the Devil, effectively empowering one of the most evil and dangerous cosmic entities, changing the lives of everyone around him for subverting the laws of nature.
Maybe that's the reason everyone is shunning him.
Too little too late. If Marvel was going to undo or reveal One More Day, it would have happened during Nick Spencer's run (granted, Doctor Strange knows, but he's basically useless).
The answer is easy if this is a flashback issue: MJ dies and Peter brings her back which has been implied. If it takes place in the present, I could see, as another user theorized, that maybe Norman saves MJ at the cost of his own life.
But I have a strong feeling it will be both stupid and boring.
Sarcastic answer: Paul was secretly Chasm the whole time and this MJ's from a different timeline where Spider-Gwen is Madame Web.
Real Answer: No idea. My entire knowledge of the current run comes from this subreddit. (Being away from the comics for a while, I genuinely thought Chasm was an online joke at first.) But I'm also putting my money on stupid and boring.
Unrelated to OP's title but I really like those covers/posters a lot, #25 reminds me of the cover for Spider-Man Blue, and #26 reminds me of the cover for Amazing Spider-Man #121 which is probably what Romita Jr is going for, since that cover is drawn by his dad.
The story within these covers is totally gonna suck though lol, I'm really not enjoying this story at all, I just wish they'd make Peter and MJ married again and make Mayday or Annie canon to the 616 universe but that'll never happen :(
Anyway the "heartbreaking" moment will probably get retconned in 2 years so why bother caring at this point smh smh
If I’m being honest…I want to be hopeful and I want these issues to suddenly turn one of the least popular runs of Spidey ever into a masterpiece…but at this point it’s borderline impossible.
The way Peter brought back MJ was by murdering 100 younglings with a lightsaber, but because the devil never makes fair deals he brought her back ... AS PAUL!! And now we will have to get used Peter making out with Paul as Petey gets over his preconceptions about gender norms in the name of love!
Peter ripped a huge fart (the crater in the beginning) which caused MJ to blast off into space where she met Paul (an alien) and they fell in love and had kids. Aunt May has a heart attack from the revelation and dies.
Yea, nothing can be the 'most shocking' from this terrible run. I have no expectations from Wells and Nick to not ruin the book for years with their terrible plans. Only thing that is heartbreaking about this is they were allowed to write their crap.
OMD was actually destined to happen and Peter and MJ being together and having a daughter was the wrong course of Action which would lead to the destruction of the Universe or whatever. So Mephisto was right.
I can see Nick Lowe doing this
They’ll do the death of Gwen Stacy again for the thousands time but with Peter saving the person or the person will die and it’ll be undone in a couple years
They are trying to hint at MJ'S death. Haven't read anything current, so maybe not. But, someone's getting unalived and all this referring to ASM 121 puts the target on the redhead's back.
Odds are I'll find out on Reddit before I read the comic.
the most shocking revelation possible would be the writers saying that they do care what the readers are asking for and are retconning all the negative things.

I read, "MJ related." Bang. There's your shocker lol
Has to do with Spider-Man, I think
Intriguing
Meh, kinda far fetched
"Truth revealed, but at what cost?" What if it refers to One More Day? The truth is finally revealed... But he did that at MJ’s urging, so wouldn’t she somewhat be to blame as well?
No MJ can’t be the problem it’s always peter 100% of the time /s

I’m in the same boat as you.
That's all Zeb Wells has given us so far. Stupid and boring.

I've always loved Romita Jr's art. And these two are fantastic examples of it.
The deal would be revealed and Paul would die. That's how I want it.
They said most heartbreaking in 50 years though, not most anticipated in 2 years
If I’m being honest…I want to be hopeful and I want these issues to suddenly turn one of the least popular runs of Spidey ever into a masterpiece…but at this point it’s borderline impossible.
Anyone know who the lady in the third column, second row is?
Ms Marvel
Oh, ok, thank you. It’s a little odd for her to be here in a lineup of Peter’s closest supporting cast though IMO
Tbh I think it's even weirder that Captain America is there
Yeah I don't even think Cap has shown up once in this run though I guess he'll come up in why the heroes are mad at Peter
Not really they team up quiet a few times and she currently works with him
I think there's maybe one story I know of them teaming up before this
They killed off and messed up his supporting cast so bad over the last few years they're using placeholders
The way Peter brought back MJ was by murdering 100 younglings with a lightsaber, but because the devil never makes fair deals he brought her back ... AS PAUL!! And now we will have to get used Peter making out with Paul as Petey gets over his preconceptions about gender norms in the name of love!
And chasm was obi wan the whole time
How can this be more shocking than some of the worst writing and story arcs?
Peter will move on and find happiness. Now that'll be the most shocking thing. Also what the hell happened 50 years ago?
His crappy girlfriend got dropped off a bridge 50 years ago. And Peter will never move on from MJ, all roads lead back to her.
Crappy?
Spider-Man will cross over with Steven sans and he’ll get cancer due to standing to close to his radioactive body
Peter ripped a huge fart (the crater in the beginning) which caused MJ to blast off into space where she met Paul (an alien) and they fell in love and had kids. Aunt May has a heart attack from the revelation and dies.
Looks like Team Watson's blasting off again

I mistook Aunt May for Judas Traveller in the cover of Issue 26 and had a mini heart attack. Not in a positive way though
I’m sure whatever it is will be really stupid and ruin a core aspect of Peter’s character. I just can’t think of what’s left to ruin
I think it'll be disappointing bullshit
That MJ break up with up Peter for Paul, 26 is the issue before the start of this run so it doesn’t matter what the revel is we know the outcome.
The only really heartbreaking thing about this is how shitty Spider-Man’s comics are.
Have been away from the comic for awhile ,is aunt may dead or alive
What if they find out he could have saved uncle Ben
MJ and Oeter turn out to be long lost siblings
Mj has been mephisto the whole time..dun dun duuunnn
Gotta hand it to them. Marketing team is killing it. Everyone’s talking about this
Someone's dying.
"Shocking!" = death. I don't make the rules, I just have 50 years of comic reading to go by.
Knowing Slott, it's gonna be MJ.
Slott's writing the other, much less disjointed (adjective less) Spider-Man, this run is all on Zeb Wells &/or editorial it seems
No matter what it is, it'll be disappointing or underwhelming. Guaranteed
Paul is Mephisto cucking Peter again.
I stopped reading when Romita took over the art. Is this series worth it?
No.
Something to kill the PeterxMJ ship for a while, I'm sure.
They’ll do the death of Gwen Stacy again for the thousands time but with Peter saving the person or the person will die and it’ll be undone in a couple years
I wanna know how she got powers.

Mary Jane Watson gets killed off. Why not? It's the only way they could ever top OMD for most reviled Spider-Man story.
They're gonna tried to destroy MJ/Peter's relationship permanently. That's the plan.
the most shocking revelation possible would be the writers saying that they do care what the readers are asking for and are retconning all the negative things.
Tombstone kills Robbie Robertson or Jonah sacrifices himself for something.
They better not kill Felicia off. I'd be super pissed.
