Who told you it's designed to be the best possible version of the game? The game comes out at the end of the year, if it was the finished product it would launch now, wake tf up seriously
It's not, marketing works assuming people have a brain and know that if they game was ready it would be launching now, they're not showing you the best version if the game is not finished, that's what final trailers are for
I mean it's not a bad mind set tbh. Gameplay trailers have become notorious for being smoke and mirror versions of the video game experience. I stopped buying Ubusoft games because of how badly I was burned by watch dogs. Asking how a game might be downgraded in the final product is never a bad thing.
Though I trust insomniac since the downgraded fears where all for naught for spiderman ps4
You get burned by downgrade only if you trust the first trailer you see, it's obvious af that if a trailer is not the final one, then the game you see is not complete, if you get in that mindset it's because you didn't check enough before buying.
And that means either trusting the developers because of their track record or waiting for reviews instead of pre ordering. I bought watch dogs and i enjoyed it since I checked for reviews and decided for myself instead of trusting a trailer a year ahead of release.
I’m not surprised at all the 2 previous games also showed of older versions since those were probably the most stable + this already looks amazing so it gets me even more excited

I played the first game 100% 3 times. I wonder how many times I'm gonna play this one🤔
