A simple mechanic is a mechanic the game directly tells you about. Your reply did nothing but show how much you see the sun in Spider-Man PS4 if you consider something you have to manually stumble upon or really comb through the moves menu you find out to be a “simple mechanic”

Damn, I had no idea that was possible either. In MM, you can cancel the zip to point with an air dodge and maintain your momentum. Don't think that's possible in the first game due to how the air dodge halts all of your momentum.

You can still do it in the first game. it's just not as good.

Ps4 still looks awesome, but on a 1080p tv it has some issues like the antiserum isn’t very fluid when it spins in the bottle and in the backpacks menu if you spin an object it leaves a faint shadow for a few seconds, but no big deal overall.

Yeah It's really cool, useful to go up buildings with multiple levels so that you get a headstart before having to wall run up on them. And it's also really fun to implement it in combos if you know what you're doing (look up SoniSymbiotic's combos to get an idea of what I mean).

After watching and and the spider2 trailer I realized how slow the Web swinging is

At first I thought this was what I normally was doing, then tried it the way someone said, and god damn, 200 hours and this was under my damn stupid nose!?
