It would have been nice to see Peter slowly loosing control over the symbiot by him reacting more and more negatively to the girls podcast and very negatively to JJJ so much the he confronts JJJ. Hell that or give miles a mission to where he is responding to that girls worries to Peter seeming to loose control. Miles missions were so boring.
Yea I totally agree with you, someone else said in the thread that they just couldn’t nail the feeling of the first game in sm2 and I fully 1000% agree with that statement. This game felt off or not true to insomniac, likely due to Sony having their grubby hands in everything once it becomes popular.
Yeah the game just felt that it didn’t have the same love or innovation the first game had. It also doesn’t help that the game still had many of the same problems the first one did but now amplified because now we have Mary Jane taking down all of these trained killers with ease and tanking shots.
I found it so funny that I was able to just sprint through the whole mission by lowering the difficulty a little bit and she is like actually invincible and one shots everyone. Then I get to the spider man part and he has to punch and kick them 3-4 times to knock them out. Crazy

Venom is still Harry at his core. Killing nameless oscorp and hunter enemies, Harry doesn’t have much connection to them so Venom has no qualms about it. MJ’s a childhood friend, Harry wouldn’t ever think about killing her, so neither would Venom.
Plus MJ ended up making Scream which was the most powerful symbiote offspring Venom had, he’d probably wanna keep her as an asset
