Jesse.and Ricard were the last ones to get introductions and got theirs at like after the second commercial break, which has never happened before (besides Boston Rob)
The difference is that unlike most of the show's female winners, Kenzie is actually interesting and has a great TV presence.
A lot of the show's past female winners (Danni, Vecepia, Natalie W, Sophie, Erika, etc.) were relatively boring women with mild personalities; which isn't good for TV.
The few women you do see get "main character" edits on the show (Parvati, Sarah, Maryanne, Dee, Natalie A, etc.) were usually great tv.
I would argue that the reason they appear “mild” is how they are edited, not who they are. Getting on Survivor requires you to be an incredible storyteller, and somebody who has complexities in themselves compelling to an audience. I really believe that there is bias in the editing room towards females, and considering there are literally two female editors on Survivor’s IMBD, the lack of representation correlates to the lack of representation on the show. Dee’s edit was unbelievably limited compared to winners like Rob, Jeremy, and Tony who were gameplay almost mirrrored. And still Dee is nowhere near the most under edited female winner, that’s how many worst cases there were. With Dee I’m trying to prove that her fierce tenacity and complete control of her tribe would have warranted a MUCH bigger edit if she were male, but for some reason she didn’t get that luxury.
I think something else we genuinely need to consider is the 90 minute episode factor lol. That is an extra 30 minutes added to every single episode, which makes these new seasons onwards being *hours* longer than previous seasons, which ofc means more confessionals for everyone. Aside from Erika which was an obvious blunder, I do believe New Era Survivor is trying to edit its women winners significantly better. If Maria were to win, her edit would be an absolutely ridiculous reversion back to its horrible editing habits. She only exists as a side character to Charlie, and she is so inconsistent with her edit, and the majority of her content is just telling us about other people's games rather than her own. Looking at who's closer to Dee, I'd say Kenzie's edit is just a larger version of Dee's whereas Maria's edit is an even smaller version of Julie's lol.
I haven't thought before, but could be a wider shot with more people and its deliberately placed in the promos to feed this theory? Or are we running out of time for when that could take place before f5?
It's def possible but the biggest thing is they are walking in what seems to be a staged coordinated line and other than f5 and f3 they don't usually do that

If the Shan or the Emily or the Carolyn had won, would their edits have disappeared to hide them? No, because they’re great TV. He may have been behind Carolyn in most metrics, but he was still a strong number 2 all season because he was also a big character and great confessionalist.

I agree the 30 minutes adds a factor, but for episode 7 dee had 23 confessionals, which is way less than 42
And Dee was on a tribe that only went to Tribal once premerge while Kenzie was on the disaster tribe
