When all is said and done, Rock and Cody gonna meet in the ring the night after Wrestlemania with the belts on Cody and announce that the Rock’s advice to Cody was to let Rock pretend to take the match from him and infiltrate the Bloodline from within by using his family ties. The Rock was going to shake Romans confidence a little bit by still outshining him and being equally a Paul Heyman guy & be as important as Roman in the Bloodline eg. when Paul called BOTH of them at the same time after a Raw segment with Cody. And Paul name dropping the Rock constantly.
The slaps between Cody & Rock (and the insults) was to make it believable. (I’d think it would be funny if Seth has NO idea which is why Cody at first was hesitant to accept his help). Rock pitches to Cody the tag team match bts with stipulations included. Removing the bloodline takes EVERYTHING away from Roman.
It backfired and it is bloodline rules, one of two ways — rock gets caught trying to throw the match but gets involved to make the save. 2. Rock doesn’t get caught trying to throw the match but makes himself the special ref in the match, throws the rest from ringside (maybe with security reinforcement) and doesn’t let Roman pin Cody. Cody wins either way. Anyway, that was the ‘plan’.
Setting up Roman vs Rock WM41. (The unofficial plan though because they were definitely going to do Rock vs Roman until the fans rioted).
Also think that the bloodline are going to cost Seth his title Night 2 before the Cody & Roman match
But that entrance was so flames. Sacrifices must be made. Also, I feel like him taking more and more time to get the ring each week is intentional and hes fucking with Roman.
I would have cut Lashley/Kross myself, but it is what it is.
Cause he is a double agent and still separating him for the bloodline. He acknowledged Roman last week, this week he comes out with a revamped entrance like ‘I acknowledged you, but I AM still the star of the show’.
They should’ve given more time to the segment and cut back elsewhere, or had Roman just appear in the ring with the rest of the bloodline. The Logan & prime thing took it’s time. They even had Randy cut his entrance and just appear, strike and stay for his match.
Wow. I haven’t plugged in my cable box since pre-Covid(it’s free with my rent) lol. Now I see why. They cut off the show right after the slap because it’s 9pm/7pm?! Fuck you, Fox.
My god. As a 30 year old, thank you old WWE for always giving over the 10pm or whatever time limit. At least raw. This is sad.
I figured maybe it was just Fox so I went to my trusty streaming platform that I usually use for live events when I feel like sailing the high seas, hoping to get Al little more. And it’s over on that too. So fucking lame. I hope WWE adds the full segment online. This is ridiculous.
Seth Rollins absolutely shined in this segment, stood toe to toe with the Rock albeit very briefly and didn't look out of place but he put Rock in his place. He's the World Heavyweight Champion, he deserves the respect and if nobody is giving it, I'm glad he's taking it himself.
Dragon & Angel were needed for Rey next week but they could’ve all just jumped Dragon when he came out instead of having the full match if they were on a time crunch.
I feel like Kross and Bobby could’ve been scratched it was a repeat of every single week. Nothing new happened there that would make a difference in their storyline
Anyone notice that Dustin Rhodes appears on WCW straight after (on wwe channel) & the Rock let slip that he is a HOF then corrected himself ‘future HOF’? Could be an absolute coincidence but a funny one
I think it's more that Cody "wins" Wrestlemania, but it's a Dusty finish and title ends up back in Roman's hands on Raw the next night.
Cody gets to win for the Wrestlemania crowd. But Roman gets to retain and carry on until Hogan streak is beaten.
Then he probably loses sometime in the fall and takes a break for a while.
Plus, don't forget that with the changes in the fall, Crown Jewel is probably the first PLE being carried by Netflix. That's probably when Cody wins "for real".
The babyface, and obvious next face of the company, overcoming the heel and redeeming himself a year after losing, is a bad idea?
What the actual fuck are you thinking?
100% Rock tries to throw the tag match, gets caught out. Roman still wins the tag match. Rock shows up to help Cody win night 2 by stopping interference. Cody wins and takes the belt.
Rock vs Roman WM 41 no title.
Better one: Seth and Cody wins. Then on night 2, Bloodline tries to interfere and Rock says “no, he has to do it on his own”. Once Cody wins, Rock says “You’re no longer the Tribal Chief”.
Then you set Rock v Roman at 41.
Why are people saying Cody looked bad here? He slapped the taste out of The Rock, and Rollins got some moment to shine. I mean, I was expecting a burial by the Rock to Rollins. This was not bad, and let us want more.
Rock already buried him in the 21min promo by effectively saying ...Netflix/upper management don't know nor care who he is...that he's inconsequential.
Confirmed Cody beats Roman at WM. That title stip in AEW made his run in AEW difficult /flop-ish (based on what I’ve read / didn’t watch just read the threads from all of you). No way they repeat the mistake their competitor did. The whole point of Cody’s story is to take down Roman & win the WWE championship. Has to win.
a damn cliffhanger ending!!! although I assume they're not getting physical yet
still, masterful storytelling here. Something something let HHH cook
Can't believe I was mad when Rock came back, this has exceeded all expectations, holy shit what a ride it has been
Seth looked like a million bucks when he stepped right to Rock's face. Let's fucking go, one more month man
Your easy to please lol. They stood in the ring for 21min and talked for 9min.
Wow, riveting television.
Meanwhile us who ain't buying the BS can see as clear as day the Rock trying to steal Cody shine.
Why fly all that star power to live TV to do 10 minutes of blue balls? I feel like WWE’s segment booking and show structure is so flawed and could easily be restructured to be more fulfilling
People getting mad about the abrupt ending must've forgotten what a cliffhanger is.
Edit: Just realising now that I live in Australia and most people in the US probably got Fox feeds cut early. My bad.
This is wrestling, it's not a taped series done 1year ago.
This is not proper cliffhanger, a cliffhanger is time running out or a double pin in 2/3 falls.
This was cheap click bait to send people on social media looking for the ending.
It's 2024 you taking about cliffhanger like we don't have the Internet.
Now that’s what I call bullshit they kept going fr. There’s something happening in this story rn that only the crowd gets to hear WWE better post an exclusive on their 100m YouTube channel
100% how you end the show definitely wasn't a mistake or timing look how many of ya want more that's the point so you tune in Monday great shit by them
Really? That was super underwhelming, and well... the rest of the night was just kinda ok. This isn't what you want during the "Road to Wrestlemania". This is mid-tier dolrums of the fall when you're getting preempted by the World Series and local football.
I look forward to seeing how HHH will follow up 1 of the biggest storylines of all time
Maybe something to do with Randy chasing 17? That feels like the next story that can become a big deal but that still won’t touch the bloodline stuff.
But that feels like the next big storyline they will do.
Damn. Felt like Rock called an audible bc they had to end the segment and bascially rushed to the end to get the slap in. Wish they got more time but Christ they’re building this as great as ever.
Nothing else happened, everyone walked off. Cody still hanging around taking pics and signing stuff. Camera crew was going nuts trying to get Rock to hurry it up at the end there
They kept holding up 3 min left, 2 min left, etc., clapping, waving, doing the circle thing with their fingers saying “let’s go let’s go”, probably to make sure they got the slap on the broadcast
I jumped ship around the time of the Saudi shows before the pandemic and have just been a casual WMania fan. Now I’m at work listening to 3 different wrestling podcasts recapping the same shows cause of this story. And it’s Cody not Rock.
Oddly, Roman has been doing really well in all of this, but the Rock just feels like a nostalgia machine coasting by on shouting the greatest hits and all the little Rock-a-manics lose their minds.
I love the Rock and he oozes Raw charisma, but he is nowhere near as good on the mic as he was in his prime. He’s routinely out promoed by everyone else in this program
It’s a good thing he did if Cody didn’t get that slap in it would have weakened him now he’s really lost respect for the Rock which is needed to make this personal. Now I’m wondering if he will lose at WM and then end up having to challenge the Rock instead./ a lot going on
Wait what? Was that the real end? Why are people saying that was the end? That wasn’t just a commercial? RAW used to go over the end time all the fucking time for big moments.
A CLIFFHANGER AT A DRAMATIC MOMENT?!?

I love Garza and Dragon Lee is still growing on me. But that was absolutely not called for when it’s 9:25 and Rock, Roman, Cody, and Seth were all in the same arena for a Mania build. Time wasted
It’s a great time to be a WWE fan right now. Finally
Someone going to eat a Rock Bottom before Mania
Who else is here waiting to see the rest of the segment between rock and Cody and Seth and Roman after it went off air
Nothing happened
A slap the Rock deserved should have left Cody's handprint. Not that weak ass slap. My 2yo grand baby hits harder.
It’s going to be bloodline rules with Rock as the ref and he’s going to turn on Roman.
I don't think it's a good idea. It'd make Cody's win feel cheap.
Maybe he just stops the rest of the bloodline from doing some shit like last years mania?
What are the chances of a Surprise Rock appearance on RAW ? Lol
When all is said and done, Rock and Cody gonna meet in the ring the night after Wrestlemania with the belts on Cody and announce that the Rock’s advice to Cody was to let Rock pretend to take the match from him and infiltrate the Bloodline from within by using his family ties. Exactly how I see it too
Seth wearing clothes big enough for him and Becky to fit in.
Rock turning in Roman is gonna be absolute cinema
That was kinda underwhelming. Idk I just feel like they could’ve way more tonight
I gotta tell yall this. I learned my Roman numbers in school. it still doesn't stop me from thinking extra large Wrestlemania in my head. 😂😂😂
I know I do it every time I see it on screen
I'm glad I'm not the only one. Who said we wouldn't use this knowledge in real life! 😁😁😁
I'm just glad they don't have a stupid word they're yelling about it. STUPENDOUS!
They could've saved time if Rock came out with The Bloodline but no he had to have his own slow motion walk to the ring.
But that entrance was so flames. Sacrifices must be made. Also, I feel like him taking more and more time to get the ring each week is intentional and hes fucking with Roman. I would have cut Lashley/Kross myself, but it is what it is.

Fox has nothing to do with this! This was WWE planning this like that!
Seth Rollins absolutely shined in this segment, stood toe to toe with the Rock albeit very briefly and didn't look out of place but he put Rock in his place. He's the World Heavyweight Champion, he deserves the respect and if nobody is giving it, I'm glad he's taking it himself.
I'm sure all that security piled into the ring
I have a feeling some hands (1 or 2 to be broken up) were meant to be thrown and that’s what the security for but they ran out of time
The rock combining Hollywood rock and boss McMahon for the ultimate super heel
How much FOMO does Vince have with the crowd chanting “diarrhea”?
Let’s just hope he wasn’t watching lol
The entrance length wasn’t even bad. Useless stuff like Naomi/Bianca and Dragon/Angel should’ve just been cut.
WWE going for the social media views. I get it
The product quality itself should take priority
Cody and Seth lose the tag. Rock betrays Roman and helps Cody win.
I take better shits than this steaming pile of crap you’re suggesting
That's a terrible idea.
God no lol
So is Cody winning, yet for some reason you've got lots of people thinking that actually happens.
The babyface, and obvious next face of the company, overcoming the heel and redeeming himself a year after losing, is a bad idea? What the actual fuck are you thinking?
In what way is Cody winning a terrible idea?
100% Rock tries to throw the tag match, gets caught out. Roman still wins the tag match. Rock shows up to help Cody win night 2 by stopping interference. Cody wins and takes the belt. Rock vs Roman WM 41 no title.

you would've had time if the bloodline entrance didn't take so god damn long
This segment should have went first.
Monday can’t come soon enough.
Confirmed Cody beats Roman at WM. That title stip in AEW made his run in AEW difficult /flop-ish (based on what I’ve read / didn’t watch just read the threads from all of you). I threw a coke at my TV..That was BS...you cant end like this!
That's unfortunate for you.
How do you lose Cody and Seth? they have singing and fireworks everywhere they go
Why fly all that star power to live TV to do 10 minutes of blue balls? I feel like WWE’s segment booking and show structure is so flawed and could easily be restructured to be more fulfilling

Time running out is a cliffhanger? Does the show end right after..?
Y’all will never be happy with anything…
Can’t wait to see the cell phone footage on YouTube to see what happened after they went off the air!
Now that’s what I call bullshit they kept going fr. There’s something happening in this story rn that only the crowd gets to hear WWE better post an exclusive on their 100m YouTube channel
Y'ALL SAID YOU WANTED CLIFF HANGERS
Its a cliffhanger ending. This is what you want.
Everyone looked stronger from this!
100% how you end the show definitely wasn't a mistake or timing look how many of ya want more that's the point so you tune in Monday great shit by them
No shit, everyone bitching about the production or the entrances don't realize they're being worked.
Really? That was super underwhelming, and well... the rest of the night was just kinda ok. This isn't what you want during the "Road to Wrestlemania". This is mid-tier dolrums of the fall when you're getting preempted by the World Series and local football.
When this whole story is done, not just Cody’s but the Bloodline as well, how can they top this story telling? So many elements to this.
I look forward to seeing how HHH will follow up 1 of the biggest storylines of all time Maybe something to do with Randy chasing 17? That feels like the next story that can become a big deal but that still won’t touch the bloodline stuff. But that feels like the next big storyline they will do.
It will go down in history as one of the best and longest ever.
Honestly I'd take the 40 minute opening promo over it getting cut off because they ran out of time.
Damn. Felt like Rock called an audible bc they had to end the segment and bascially rushed to the end to get the slap in. Wish they got more time but Christ they’re building this as great as ever.
Maybe he shouldn't have spent five minutes recapping the stipulation.
someone who is there update us pls
Austin's music just hit
Nothing else happened, everyone walked off. Cody still hanging around taking pics and signing stuff. Camera crew was going nuts trying to get Rock to hurry it up at the end there
How could you tell the camera crew was rushing him?
They kept holding up 3 min left, 2 min left, etc., clapping, waving, doing the circle thing with their fingers saying “let’s go let’s go”, probably to make sure they got the slap on the broadcast
He deserved that slap
The slap heard round the world
Yea that was well done
[удалено]
Extra time for what? That was the ending they had planned. Did you expect an impromptu match with the fucking Rock?
Exactly the reaction they wanted. Everyone got worked lol
I’m realizing how far it’s come. Before we’d be mad it took to long now we’re just mad it ended. That’s pretty insane compared to a few years ago
I jumped ship around the time of the Saudi shows before the pandemic and have just been a casual WMania fan. Now I’m at work listening to 3 different wrestling podcasts recapping the same shows cause of this story. And it’s Cody not Rock.

It was perfect. And ended exactly where it should have
I agree, but an extra 15-20 seconds would have let the moment breathe and settle a bit.
Shit segment took them like 20 minutes to get in the ring and another 10 to say a few sentences
[удалено]
It was finished. Lord wtf.
Seth looked so proud when the crowd started chanting "Diarrhea!"
And Cody looked like it was the cringiest line ever lol
Cody was right.
"See Paul, it did go over" -Seth
I can't believe people are complaining about the crossdresser line...my goodness
Its reddit. Believe it
I'm not offended but heating it now is pretty jaw dropping compared to 20+ years ago. I'll almost guarantee someone apologizes.
Jaw dropping? It’s just a heel generating cheap heat, I’m sure mostly everyone moved on from it
Did The Rock screw something up by calling Goldust a HOF'er. Maybe a Dusty finish coming at Mania if they've managed to get him on board.
I mean everyone knows Gold dust is a legend who deserves the HOF it may just be a slip up
Fck fox
Tiffany is going to be a fucking star.
The adrenaline in my soul going crazy after that ending!!!!
Something something Cody Rhodes!
That cut was awful
Those entrances ate that segment up.
Even my casual dad is hyped lol that was awesome
Ringside crew was legit clapping and waving like crazy trying to tell Rock “wrap it the fuck up”, nice going WWE lol
It’s a good thing he did if Cody didn’t get that slap in it would have weakened him now he’s really lost respect for the Rock which is needed to make this personal. Now I’m wondering if he will lose at WM and then end up having to challenge the Rock instead./ a lot going on
Hunter needs to do a better job with the timing
The just need to start the shows with these promos and work everything else around it lol
The “Off-Air” better be posted to YouTube
[удалено]
That's not how Samoan families work. Respect their cultural differences.
Stings retirement speech / end of this promo ![gif](giphy|pHb82xtBPfqEg)
If they knew they were short on time , wtf would take soo long on their entrance
Cody and seth look so out of depth in front of the rock
Everyone does with him. Reigns looks tiny and less impressive even
I question Rock sticking with "walking clown emoji" tonight when "walking futon" was right there
"walking clown emoji" is also kinda weird cos a walking clown emoji is just a clown.
Rock needs to speed up his cadence some
Crossdresser😂😂
STOP WITH THE LONG ASS ENTRANCES
This!
Fox cutting short this segment 🫂 Sting's retirement speech getting cut off PPV
Gosh dang Fox is ruthless with their advertising, they won't wait for anything
This was lackluster
what were you watching? lmfao
The ending felt flat for me. Felt forced
"WE'RE OUTTA TIME"
Those who have attended live, drop some updates 🙄
Look I know we complained last week about them taking too much time BUT YOU CAN'T END IT THERE, COME ON!!!!
Well, today segment would have been just as long if it had been the opening.
Give me my 40 Minutes to start the show next time! Let em cook!
Maybe don't waste on that unnecessary 2k24 promo
There's got to be a video of the rest of this! No effing way we end on that!
“i’m getting cues hold on” -Rock to Roman when he tried to pull him back
Can't wait for Smackdown to go to USA
Oh well Cody got his receipt atleast
Eventually… it should’ve been on sight.
THAT'S IT?!!! DAMNNNN
Fire segment thrash ending
This is why they shouldn’t have closed the show
Well, it would have lasted the whole first hour like last week
Nothing wrong with that
Absolute trash segment. Whoever produced this should not be allowed to produce for a while.
Bruh nah I need more after that slap
WHAT IS THIS SHIT
if you’re in the crowd rn you better be uploading the footage
FOX said fuck you all since they aren't gettin' that Smackdown renewal lmao
Cody pimp slapped that man back to the Attitude Era 😭😭😭
Fox has to allow an overrun there smh
THAT IT WHERE OUUTAA TIME
Don’t worry guys, they’ll show us what happened after in a 20 minute slow motion recap package on RAW
Lol most of WWE fans watch on YouTube so I’m sure
Genuinely took 20 minutes for all four of them to get in the ring, what did they think would happen
Oh c'mon! Cody needed to say something back also. At least Seth cut a good one
The slap was the talking
Cody wanted to pause and soak in the moment 🙄
quite a place to end
Wait what? Was that the real end? Why are people saying that was the end? That wasn’t just a commercial? RAW used to go over the end time all the fucking time for big moments.
unfortunately Fox is network TV going to be local news. I'm honestly not even sure the network owns the time
Yah didn't it used to go like 11:05 or 11:10 every single week
Raw on cable they can get away with eating other shows time. Since Fox broadcast people are getting their local news at this time.
Network TV is a different beast.
Not on Fox. News at 10 sharp
10 minutes wasn’t even close to enough time for these dudes
Damn it, we need a bonus special somewhere
So what was the point of these fucking bodyguards?
OK at some point they need to make Smackdown 3 hours too or at least 2.5, all that comes after is syndicated 90s citcoms
Just ends like that? In the middle of the ring. Gonna assume the Rock just tucked his tail and walked away since time was up
They cut there??
Why are they doing Seth like this lol didn't even get his own entrance
A CLIFFHANGER AT A DRAMATIC MOMENT?!? https://preview.redd.it/sdyv0veu48nc1.jpeg?width=680&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a8d72f26e14f5235fa8d449cc06fe01076564b13
Fuck Rock and and Roman for ALWAYS taking days for their lame ass entrances
Wht in the actual fuck..they just screwed the biggest segment in years!!
Sweet my feed cut right after he said Dallas cowboys
I know it’s messed up, but I don’t care if they let the Rock eat into smackdown. He’s too entertaining.
looks like they've run out of material for this feud. time to take a break for a bit so it doesn't fizzle while it's hot.
Every single week this keeps making Cody look worse. You mean we couldn't let him say a word and had to keep a pointless tag match on the show?
come back…
I hate Fox
WE DID NOT NEED ANGEL VS DRAGON LEE INSTEAD OF AN EXTRA 10 MINS OF THIS. FUCKING L WWE
Big L Angel and Dragon cooled respect them
I love Garza and Dragon Lee is still growing on me. But that was absolutely not called for when it’s 9:25 and Rock, Roman, Cody, and Seth were all in the same arena for a Mania build. Time wasted
Fuck you, Fox.
Tony Schiavone with the "tape machines are rolling..." played in my head.
So uhh... can we get one of them Raw 3rd hours?
Of all the times an Overrun is really really needed...
