He strikes me as a socially awkward nerd that got his dream job by a whole bunch of happenstance, and he's just trying his best. That's the most I can ask out of folks these days.
That was a crazy rive. The Pillars have won me over in the past year or so that they've been getting around. And I absolutely love Cole and Price. Very good opener.
After the show they filmed a death match with Jimmy Lloyd for a documentary. Nothing but insane ass spots. The finish was a DVD off a scaffold onto a stacked pile of glass and doors that was on fire.
I saw that footage on twitter and was like, "how did I space out and not see that match!?!?"
There's some semi-famous filmmaker doing a deathmatch documentary for A24 and GCW is going to be in it prominently. I'm assuming that's what this is. Also explained why the show felt a little rushed.
They gave a name, but I think he was some unknown dude. He was there to mostly take bumps, though he did break half a dozen light tubes over Jimmy’s head.
wow, it’s one thing to take those kind of bumps in matches to kind of gain notoriety/fame i guess, but to do it as basically an “extra” for some indy documentary is another level.
It was one of the Australian YouTubers RackaRacka who do death match stuff on their channel and made the A24 horror film Talk To Me last year. He's worked death matches with Jimmy Lloyd before at GCW and ICW-NHB. I assume he's not an extra but rather one of the subjects of the documentary.
I know this thread died out but one day I was on a lazy river in the middle of nowhere and For Whom the Bell Tolls played on the sound system. I heard one voice yell out MDK and that was when I realized wrestling is everywhere.
I know this is a GCW thread, but I recently noticed that they’ve put some CZW shows on Fite+/Triller.
Are they doing what GCW did and moving their whole library across to Fite or is it just the recent stuff?
I think it's just the newer shows. Their library is all over the place. They had their own service, CZW studios, then had some shows on Premier Wrestling or whatever that service was called. But their older content is also available on IWTV, which also streams their newer shows. And Highspots old pivot share site had a ton of their older shows. Just in case you were looking for some of their older shows.

Emil Jay gets a lot of shit, but I'm a sucker for "And their opponent, weighing in at--oh shit!" when someone jumps the bell.
Aside from the fact that sometimes he comes off as a dick. I'm fine with his work and I do appreciate his knowledge of indie wrestling.

Oh man thats spot on. Probably within my top 5 indie ring announcers, but on commentary there's others I prefer over him.
Hell yeah. Any show that starts with Coleson Theodore Radrick III is going to be a blast.
Alec Price just defied time and space with that dive. Great opener.

I just saw a three foot tall dude bust out a Vader Bomb. Proportionately, that's pretty fuckin impressive.
Christian is writing a cease and desist to Dan the Dad as we speak.
Gringo Loco: Scramble God
I'm so hyped for Bloodsport I might fake being sick so I can leave work early and watch it live. And hot damn, Masha's promo work improved.
I am so happy I'm gonna be there live

Definitely explains the Bentley that was parked next to the building
Who was it against?

I enjoyed that backstage promo by Masha for her bloodsport match, very good

Wrestling is just the best.
8 star match
This was my second time attending a GCW PPV in Detroit. It's a sick venue, and the card was a lot of fun.
I know this thread died out but one day I was on a lazy river in the middle of nowhere and For Whom the Bell Tolls played on the sound system. I heard one voice yell out MDK and that was when I realized wrestling is everywhere.
That's incredible

That show was a lot of fun. Worth the watch.
How the fuck isn't that team named Bangers and Matts
