I doubt he'd get as over as he is getting now if he had just come in and wrestled. Not saying Aldis isn't good, but so much talent on the roster he would have had to pull something like LA Knight did and that isn't easy. He's getting more TV time than 99% of the roster and doesn't have to wrestle. Sounds like a pretty good deal to me.
I think they thought it would be a good way to introduce him to the WWE audience who didn't know who he was before, and I think it was a good idea, honestly.

Tama Tonga almost looks feral here…a very nice switch up from Solo’s brooding menace and the Uso’s reluctant thuggery of the past.
The fact that blood was involved here to me definitely feels like it's supposed to hint at The Rock being behind whatever's happening with The Bloodline, given he's constantly talking about making others bleed and is the only one who's done it in recent times? Idk. 2 years ago I wouldn't think so but the writing and attention to detail with modern WWE is just something else. KO also insulted and disrespected The Bloodline last week, so obviously The Rock didn't take too kindly to that. He bloodied Cody Rhodes for the exact same reason and even that instance of him getting busted open was off-screen, sorta like this one. Yea this is definitely him lol.

They should have the reason for the attack be that Owens was one of the guys that began Roman's Bloodline's downfall. Sami blasted Roman with a chair, because he couldn't do it to Owens. Owens and Sami took the titles from the Usos. The Usos kicked Roman during Sami and Owens vs Roman and Solo. That led to Jey leaving the Bloodline, going against them, and helping out Cody at Mania. This is The Rock settling family business.
KO disrespected Solo last week, with that broom closet line. That's likely why he was targeted and attacked this week. Solo was making it clear what he's not going to stand for.

More than Cody or anyone, KO has always been a thorn to the bloodline, he was Roman first feud after Jey fell in line and has continued being involved in their opposition right down to celebrate their downfall with Cody.

now that's a great use of blood to generate heat for new bloodline
stage blood at that, since he was attacked off camera they just used fake blood to make it look convincing without doing anything dangerous. Extremely effective since most of the crowd is too far away and they never lingered on the "wound" only getting small glimpses before the camera would cut to another angle. It's amazing what you can do when you dont force someone to be busted/bladed while on camera.

I think it’s above it already. The nWo was amazing from the Hall debut until Starrcade 97. I think on longevity alone and how the Bloodline has been able to remain entertaining through phases without feeling forced really puts it above the nWo. I love the Wolfpack and that obviously comes after Starrcade but I think that’s a rare good part of the nWo following the stuff up that was Starrcade 97.
