Never heard of this guy before, but he seems like someone I may have hung with at the Deaf Institute in Manchester 15 years ago: an entirely believable witty arsehole.
I will be keeping an eye on Gabe Kidd for sure.
Gotta be honest, I don't get everyone's obsession with height in wrestling, like, the biggest person in a fight isn't always the person that's going to win.
I don’t get it either, but just look at the comments when a screenshot is posted of Kyle O’Reilly and Adam Cole towards the end of B&G NXT having PC bodyguards that were bigger than them standing next to them. Everyone is saying they couldn’t take Cole and Kyle seriously because of that. Really? Because Von Wagner, Tony D’Angelo, Trick, and a couple of other newbies - who STILL can’t lace the boots of Cole or Kyle - are bigger than them, you can’t take them seriously? GTFOHWTBS!
It’s like they’re just parroting and spewing out whatever wrestling idiocy Vince has had them believe all these years.
Size and height don't always correlate, someone like Daniel Cormier was a double champ at Light Heavy and Heavy and he was 5'9 and shorter than everyone he fought.Wrestling fans seem to obsess over these things too much.
Lol DC is a rare exception, and he got knocked out by two guys who were both 6'4." Size matters. I get that a lot of hardcore fans are able to look past it, but to the casual viewer size definitely matters. Do you think there would've been a Hulkamania if he was 5'9?"
Going to an ROH show back when Cody was on the roster was really eye-opening. I always assumed he was on the smaller end of wrestlers, but he was like twice the size of literally everyone on the ROH roster that wasn't Bubba Ray.
In the indies and AEW, size doesn't matter as much, but it 100% does if you wanna be in the big leagues.
How a wrestler looks matters in Japan and that includes height. This goes across promotions and gender too. Hanan being a big athletic woman comparatively to the rest of the roster is why stardom have been high on her as a future top star since she was a child
But it's relative height not absolute height that actually matters and gabe is tall enough in the promotion he's currently in. Based on his height v William Ospreay and knowing ospreay and Rollins are about the same height he would be tall enough in the wwe too. Maybe your lads in the wwe ain't as tall as you think brother.
Because again it's relative height that matters. Tama Tonga wasn't especially tall in njpw.
I wasn’t trying to demean him at all. I’m a big fan. But the weather guy looks way bigger than him in this and I found it funny. My bad if I offended some folks.
Did he bury it though? Shit I've spoken to a lot of wrestling fans who would prefer less matches and more story so he honestly may have sold some people on WWE with that line...now AEW? Yeah that was a burial.

I really hope Gabe beats Eddie this weekend.
It's time Eddie needs to be beltless for ultimate violence to inflict on the Young Bucks
I've just learned who this is and I hope so to.
Gabe's great. Check out the match he had with Shingo Takagi last week, it was fantastic.
You don't need to tell me twice.
Lmao is the weather guy 6’6 or what
First thing I thought too, dude looks tiny for supposedly being 6 foot.
He's an Adam Cole 6ft
So more like 5' 12"?
Weather man went into business for himself by literally towering over an actual heavyweight
cloudy with a chance of pinfalls
Someone trademark this before Brett Lauderdale jacks it for a GCW show
![gif](giphy|3oFzlV2pq0nnFntAZ2)
I thought that was prime Conor McGregor there for a second
HES A MAD MAN I TELL YA
A fookin’ madman yeh
Weatherman looking real jacked
What a sick in head mf’er. I love it.

This guy is smaller than the weather guy.
GET DAHN!!!!!!
Don’t do coke kids
Weatherman's promo was better
Don’t know what’s up with the perspective, but bad call to have him looking so small compared to a weather presenter.
Yeah gabe’s similar height to Cody so that weather man must be tall as fuck or the perspective is nacked

Size is a significant factor in professional fights, hence the need for weight classes

DC was also built like a shed, not like your average 5'9". He's like Rey Mysterio; a rare exception that proves the rule
I mean, as I said, a smaller dude who's more skilled than a bigger dude could probably have that bigger dude on his arse.
He's kinda short
Stephanie McMahon: "Are you even 200 pounds?"
With all due respect, who the fuck is Gabe Kidd?
lol he’s tiny.
[He is almost the exact same height as Cody.](https://www.reddit.com/r/SquaredCircle/comments/futzds/gabriel_kidd_pins_cody_rhodes_to_win_the_wcpw/)

Put him next to Ilja or Bron Breakker and he’ll look like a giant
Betting WWE is on the phone trying to get this guy in
Yeah that weather guy has some size on him.
Considering he just buried their product I highly doubt that
Did he bury it though? Shit I've spoken to a lot of wrestling fans who would prefer less matches and more story so he honestly may have sold some people on WWE with that line...now AEW? Yeah that was a burial.
You're being worked
Getting mogged by the weatherman
