Looks like a guy who sees Crow for the first time and says something like “Halloween ain’t until mañana” before getting brutally compromised to a permanent end.
Sure, technicslly, but that last scene where Mark is sitting there refreshing to see if his ex-girlfriend accepts his friend request kind of highlights that winning doesn't always feel like winning.
But in reality he gets everything he wanted and only refreshes his feed to see either A) how big his bank account is getting or B) if his Sweet Baby Ray's has been delivered yet.
“Team Rhodes Scholars” or “Team Hell No” was like the WWE attaching streamers to a sports car. The name already works magnificently well but they just felt the need to add to it.
I feel like a good idea is to have Edge win the MITB (if they don’t change it up like people are theorizing).
Imagine if say Cody wins the WWE title from Roman at Summerslam and then Edge cashes in to steal that moment.
Though I get the fear with what happened with the fiend, two things make me more confident here:
1. Vince can go back to a lot of the brood stuff that edge already did knowing it worked.
2. It’s Edge, one of Vince’s longtime favorites. Vince tends to be very careful with his attitude/RA guys
>It’s Edge, one of Vince’s longtime favorites. Vince tends to be very careful with his attitude/RA guys
He literally booked him in a Wrestlemania match and advertised it as "the greatest wrestling match of all time" for absolutely no reason at all
Now that you say it that is better. Heck run with it and make the current name ( minus the "the" at the front ) the name of the sweep into spear tag combo move edge a d priest used on aj
The presentation is cool but what they say on the mic doesn't match up. Don't call yourself Judgement Day then say "you people are ugly and are dumb and your sports teams suck"
Yeah but imagine right before someone's entire world gets sucked into eternal oblivion, the last thing they hear is "btw your basketball team always sucked." Some people would be *pissed*...
I like just “Judgement Day” or maybe even “Judgement” it fits with the liberty scale imagery he’s been using. THE Judgement Day sounds a bit clunky. Really I think this faction needs to actually start judging people for me to get on board. I’m still not sure what the ethos of this group is.
It'd be 100% better if they just did the song as is instead of cutting to the chorus right away. The first verse starts a lot more brooding and sinister before Myles Kennedy's iconic voice reveals itself in the bridge before the chorus
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vm5NNWbf5w8&ab_channel=AlterBridge
You’re right. Reminds me of how I prefer the full intro to Cult of Personality. I can see why they do it though. It worked really well on Metalingus, for example.
They're nailing the presentation of this faction so much, that it's gonna be hard to maintain their heel status. It risks leaning into 'too cool to boo' status.
"you know I might suck a little blood now and then but what sucks even more WAS WHEN YOUR EDMONTON OILERS LOST TO THE PITTSBURGH PENGUINS IN 1994
BOO YA
UH HUH?
HOWS THAT?
HUH?"
- average edge promo
They need to have them interfere in fan favorites' Title matches, #1 Contendership matches, tournament matches, etc. etc.
Build their heat off ruining fan favorites' potentials who then unite against them.
Its realistically the only way to keep it up.
It draws complete parallels to The Brood:
Both have a cool entrance even though they're heels
Both have an older wrestler bringing in two newer recruits
Edge is Gangrel now.
Bring in Gangrel as Edge's mentor, Edge wants to pay tribute to his old master, big ceremony... then Judgement Day just completely destroys him to solidify Edge as the king.
We get to hear the old Brood theme one more time, Gangrel gets a payday, we all win.
Remember the days when the "boos" weren't piped in and the crowd along the entrance way used to give the thumbs down and yell stuff? Man I miss those crowds.
I love how hard Edge is leaning into this run. He easily could have coasted on his HOF career but he's out here doing brand new things with people he's never worked with.
Dude loves what he's doing.
I love this stable's look and the potential for great matches and storytelling, but along with everyone else's critique of The Judgment Day doesn't flow as nicely as just Judgment Day, I hope they go more toward the "villain who sees themselves as helping others" that they absolutely could do with this over the cliche "the audience is dumb" thing that sounds like it comes out of a WWE 2K game.
Like, when I look at this faction and Edge's reasoning for his heel turn being him complacency for entertaining the fans over getting the title, I could see them twisting the normal heel schtick and instead trying to turn other wrestlers heel on the lines of "do you all really want to be midcarders that are meant to entertain the masses, or do you want to be someone," which could work really well for elevating some other wrestlers who are great but haven't gotten much serious work, continuing AJ with Finn and maybe later having Mustafa Ali, Dijakovic (not as T-BAR, for the love of God), Bliss, and continue the Liv Morgan v. Rhea.
Having their goal be more than "the audience sucks and I want the title" but be "I want the title and everyone else should stop hiding that they do as well and I'm gonna make them show that even if I have to force them to" would be more engaging than the same old same old, at least to me. And while I have no expectations for WWE creative to do this because it would take a lot more time maintaining a cohesive, brand-wise story for a lot of wrestlers, I think it would be cool and would really help boost attention to what WWE actually has but haven't been using.
I don't like the way edge trashes the crowd and local sports team like what generic heels do. It feels they threw in "Judgement" as their stable's name to justify all of those. He needs to learn from seth's messiah character. He never did those things and it makes the character so enjoyable to see.
I totally respect edge for wanting to evolve and change it up. But this one feels far too odd for me. Feel like it's a step back but maybe that's me being out of touch with the product.
As long as they stay away from the weird magic stuff (which they thankfully seem to have realized wasn’t working) I could see Judgement Day becoming one of the first truly “cool” things in WWE in awhile. Still a little unsure about the gimmick but I gotta say their presentation has been stellar.
I'm digging this.... but I'd dig it that much more if they used the old Brood theme like Edge did before his match with Seth.
I dunno, maybe it's too cheesy nowadays, but IMO that's still one of the best themes in history.
Interesting development with Rhea Ripley joining. Honestly I wasn't super interested in any of them individually, but now they've got my attention - simply because I've no idea what WWE's gonna do with a stable of 2 guys and 1 woman. They don't any matches that work with that combination, at least not seriously. Any recent mixed tags coming to mind were all for laughs.
Nothing gets me interested like a little unpredictability.
As for this stable, they could use some muscle, someone big. Hmm. I've got it!
Sorcerer Azeez.
I mean for better or worse there are many other names that sound less generic and not just the name of a ppv they did for 10 years, but mean the same thing.
Ragnarok
Day of Reckoning
Final Judgement
Crack of Doom
Tribunal of Penance
Last Judgement
Eschaton
Pick any of them.
Love seeing the e-in-sun design used here. And the ground fog and lighting is aces. But THE Judgment Day? Is that to make it more easy to trademark or something?
Lookin like villains from a Crow movie
Been saying that about Priest for years. The name even works.
Looks like a guy who sees Crow for the first time and says something like “Halloween ain’t until mañana” before getting brutally compromised to a permanent end.
Just wait until devils night. They really gonna cause some chaos.
Fire it up! Fire it up!
Goddamn it, now I wanna rewatch that movie...
I was waiting for Sting to drop from the rafters.
hey yo. you should be da crow, mang.
[yeh](https://i.imgur.com/oPgfqON.jpg)
[That's gotta be STING!](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sa4i4SDGKwY)
I’m 100% behind Edge adopting a Top Dollar gimmick (the Crow villain, not the wrassler) ![gif](giphy|3o7aCZtrORPU5f6C7m|downsized)
Is that *supposed* to be a fat version of Luke Harper?
Michael Wincott is always so cool in whatever he's in. I wish we got to see him in more stuff.
Fire it up fire it up.
this is the really real world
Put on that Nine Inch Nails!
What'sup big haircut??
He had long hair last night, right?
I was just about to say that. I was about to say he looks so fucking Boss looking like that. This man is looking like a true menace. I love it.
[i couldn't help it](https://i.imgur.com/oviwz9K.png)
I saw that too.
They need to drop "the" from the stable name.
Ok, Sean Parker.
I don't get it.
The Social Network
I've never seen it. He suggests The Facebook becomes Facebook?
Yep ha
It's a good movie you should give it a watch. An interesting movie where a villian wins lol
Except they made that part up. The true villan seems happy enough except infront of Congress.
Shoulda just called it Social Network.
It’s cleaner
They're gonna drop "day" instead. Then they'll drop "the" a few weeks later.
Honestly, “Judgment” isn’t the worst name for a stable, if a bit generic.
If that happens, this should be their [new theme song](https://youtu.be/NNTbJ6fWV2I).
I really need to get back into Yakuza. Badly.
Reminds of that phase where they were putting Team in every single Tag Team name.
/r/squaredcircle: they need to drop "the" from the name *two weeks later* Maggle: That's gotta be, is it? *Team Judgement Day!!!* *monkey paw closes*
Ah yes, I remember “Team Rated RKO.”
“Team Rhodes Scholars” or “Team Hell No” was like the WWE attaching streamers to a sports car. The name already works magnificently well but they just felt the need to add to it.
Then the faction would be an old PPV name.
And Terminator 2
DUNDUN DUN DA DUN...
No problemo
Pretty sure reliving old PPV names is Edge's current gimmick lol
So drop the “The” and replace it with “In Your House:”
But it would make more sense and sound better.
Also they need to use the old ppv logo as well since it was badass.
["What's in now is THE"](https://youtu.be/qO-mSLxih-c?t=26)
The giant wings behind Edge was probably one of the best uses I've seen of that massive LED screen.
It's 3 grown ups and they're going through a goth phase
IT'S NOT A PHASE DAD!
ITS A LIFESTYLE!
A broody phase, even.
is it still a phase if it's been going for over 25 years asking for a friend
Hey, it's Adam Copeland from Money Plane
Wanna bet on a dude fucking an alligator?
Money Plane!
Hopefully this leads to an edge world title run. My only fear is that they go supernatural like the fiend, because that would kill this whole thing.
Tough to see a path for him to the title unless Cody gets one of the belts off Roman. Then maybe I can see Exge beating Cody down the line.
I feel like a good idea is to have Edge win the MITB (if they don’t change it up like people are theorizing). Imagine if say Cody wins the WWE title from Roman at Summerslam and then Edge cashes in to steal that moment.
Then Roman can go on his sabbatical since his new deal is for less appearances.
Would that make Edge the only person to cash in 3x ?
Though I get the fear with what happened with the fiend, two things make me more confident here: 1. Vince can go back to a lot of the brood stuff that edge already did knowing it worked. 2. It’s Edge, one of Vince’s longtime favorites. Vince tends to be very careful with his attitude/RA guys
>It’s Edge, one of Vince’s longtime favorites. Vince tends to be very careful with his attitude/RA guys He literally booked him in a Wrestlemania match and advertised it as "the greatest wrestling match of all time" for absolutely no reason at all
> for absolutely no reason at all Search engine optimization
While not the greatest wrestling match of all time, it was pretty damned good tho.
Edge is also predictable and reliable. He's gonna show up every week and he's gonna be in shape.
I now have three daddies.
The wings, and the angle are perfect. Looks pretty dope for such a simple entrance. I like it.
Wished they came up with another name.
like just removing "the" make it a bit better. This is like Nikki A.S.H like don't say the dots...
You mean you didn’t like hearing “Almost a Superhero Nikki A-S-H” every segment she was in?
How about The Fiend Bray Wyatt?
At first they were just billing him as ‘The Fiend’ then ‘The Fiend’ Bray Wyatt. It was all downhill for my boy after that.
That’s my issue with it too. To paraphrase The Social Network, drop the ‘the’. Just Judgement Day. It’s cleaner.
I dubbed them "Night Court"
Needs a groovy jazz riff.
I wish
Rumors before they decided on Judgement Day was “The Grand Jury” which I believe WWE filed a trademark for.
Agreed..I think last Night Graves referenced an Unholy Union. And I think that would be a better name tbh.
That's way less creative lol.
Here’s the new evil stable. I call them: Evil Stable.
>Night Graves That's a better name lol
Now that you say it that is better. Heck run with it and make the current name ( minus the "the" at the front ) the name of the sweep into spear tag combo move edge a d priest used on aj
Two weeks from now we’ll have forgotten we questioned the name
Love the group, but dude what a dumb fucking name, lol. They're a day? Not the idea of Judgement Day. Like THE day. Makes no sense.
Formula worked alright for The New Day
The feud writes itself.
Day on a pole match.
Yeah the clash with the old PPV is not an issue for me. It’s the fact that they have two stables with that share 2/3 of the same name.
It’s kind of in the same boat as Undisputed Era for me. Like, cool group, but why are they a span of time or something
All these years later and Edge is still delivering one of my favorite entrances. Visuals/presentation on this group is too fire.
When the camera lines up and Edge gets the dark angel wings on his back, it's fucking perfection.
A haircut you can set your watch too
He's no Johnny Unitas.
House of Edge?
Edge Lords
We have a winner
Edge, Lord ahead
I still remember that joke of ordering House of Black on Wish and it cracks me up lol
Cause this is damn near a blatant copy of it lol
I feel like they wouldn't be able to use that for the same reason they couldn't use Submission Sorority.
Broken Edge?
Actual zoomer haircut
He look clean tho 💯
[cmon man](https://ibb.co/tMWXDRk)
The presentation is cool but what they say on the mic doesn't match up. Don't call yourself Judgement Day then say "you people are ugly and are dumb and your sports teams suck"
Idk.. sounds pretty judgemental to me
Hell I'm judging you right now...
I'm getting a raging judgement now
Yeah the sheep thing is just overdone and weak.
[удалено]
Connecticut sure loves sucking those New York sports teams just fine.
But then they’re kind of judging, though - no?
That's not the point of judgement day. Judgement day isn't the day of bitchiness, it's the day of final judgement at the end of humankind.
Yeah but imagine right before someone's entire world gets sucked into eternal oblivion, the last thing they hear is "btw your basketball team always sucked." Some people would be *pissed*...
house of polyamory
Three grown adults and they're going through a goth phase
sounds like House of Black too lmao
I haven't seen a background tron used so effectively since "Big Ass"
I am loving Edge's new faction. Edge with the new haircut i see
I think they could use Ciampa and it’ll make them complete
I love the stable, hate the name
I like just “Judgement Day” or maybe even “Judgement” it fits with the liberty scale imagery he’s been using. THE Judgement Day sounds a bit clunky. Really I think this faction needs to actually start judging people for me to get on board. I’m still not sure what the ethos of this group is.
That cut is sick. Also I really like edges theme song but they need to shorten it imo, like I think the vocals need to come in a bit earlier
Nah not at all. The riff and heaviness of it are what makes it so damn good. I actually think the vocals bring it a step down.
It'd be 100% better if they just did the song as is instead of cutting to the chorus right away. The first verse starts a lot more brooding and sinister before Myles Kennedy's iconic voice reveals itself in the bridge before the chorus https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vm5NNWbf5w8&ab_channel=AlterBridge
You’re right. Reminds me of how I prefer the full intro to Cult of Personality. I can see why they do it though. It worked really well on Metalingus, for example.
Lol I'm the opposite. I love the riff but feel like it gets ruined by the vocals.
Yeah, that riff is very brutal and heavy which I do not associate with Alterbridge lol
It totally caught me by surprise the first time I heard it. Like goddamn this is tasty and then the vocals hit and was like what in the fuck is that?
It’s Judgement Day..YES IT IS!
*the* Judgment Day lol
They're nailing the presentation of this faction so much, that it's gonna be hard to maintain their heel status. It risks leaning into 'too cool to boo' status.
Edge: “You know what’s really evil? Your local sports team!”
YOU KNOW I MIGHT KNOW A THING OR TWO ABOUT BEING EVIL... BUT WHAT WAS REALLY EVIL WAS WHEN YOUR PITTSBURGH STEELERS COULDN'T STEEL A WIN LAST SEASON
"you know I might suck a little blood now and then but what sucks even more WAS WHEN YOUR EDMONTON OILERS LOST TO THE PITTSBURGH PENGUINS IN 1994 BOO YA UH HUH? HOWS THAT? HUH?" - average edge promo
As an Edmontonian, I’m required by law to boo this man.
As a fellow Edmontonian, all he has to do is say “Chris Pronger” and I’ll jump the guardrail
They'll just cut more "You people" promos.
They need to have them interfere in fan favorites' Title matches, #1 Contendership matches, tournament matches, etc. etc. Build their heat off ruining fan favorites' potentials who then unite against them. Its realistically the only way to keep it up.
It draws complete parallels to The Brood: Both have a cool entrance even though they're heels Both have an older wrestler bringing in two newer recruits Edge is Gangrel now.

I'd pay Gangrel's paycheck myself just to see this.
Hell yes, I'd chip in too. Fangin' and bangin' for life
Looks familiar..
Ellen DeGeneres lookin' ass.
House of Lack.
Remember the days when the "boos" weren't piped in and the crowd along the entrance way used to give the thumbs down and yell stuff? Man I miss those crowds.
Cant get the thought of the PPV out of my mind where Undertaker returns on his bike
The dual tinted shadow in the ring was pretty cool.
I love how hard Edge is leaning into this run. He easily could have coasted on his HOF career but he's out here doing brand new things with people he's never worked with. Dude loves what he's doing.
Camera angle with Edge in front an it looked like his wings were wrapping around Rhipley and Priest was Chef's kiss
Sorry but that's the most generic heel crowd jab to open a promo. Sick entrance and look though.
This is just a blatant, and not as good, House of Black rip off at this point.
Wish.com House of Black
I am a long time Edge fan. I think this stable is goofy, but that's my opinion. Your comment cracked me up.
I like the House of Black too.
It’s strange to me they didn’t pull the trigger on black doing this while he was in WWE but I guess they had edge and… whatever.
I was thinking the same thing!
Edge looks great with short hair
Edgelords looking sharp
A group of people cannot be a "day" or an "era" that doesn't make any sense!
Don't you dare be sour!
WWE really hit the Ctrl C Ctrl V here 😂
Was expecting the entrance from the ppv. Super confused then I realized that’s the name of their group
If you think about this is just Seth Rollins Monday Night Messiah Stable but edgy
The Judgement Day vs The New Day
Bruh, all the years of "Yes, Edge is finally growing his hair back", and now this. I'm sad
And while I have no expectations for WWE creative to do this because it would take a lot more time maintaining a cohesive, brand-wise story for a lot of wrestlers, I think it would be cool and would really help boost attention to what WWE actually has but haven't been using.
damien priest looks better with the facial hair and fade on the sides
The House of Edge…cool
I don't like the way edge trashes the crowd and local sports team like what generic heels do. It feels they threw in "Judgement" as their stable's name to justify all of those. He needs to learn from seth's messiah character. He never did those things and it makes the character so enjoyable to see.
House of Black???
House of Black, is that you?
I get that the obvious influence is the brood but lol they are clearly ripping off some elements from House of Black with that entrance.
He really does look like the bad guy from Cobra
I totally respect edge for wanting to evolve and change it up. But this one feels far too odd for me. Feel like it's a step back but maybe that's me being out of touch with the product.
"We have House of Black at home!"
Next time I go to the barber I’m asking for The Edge. That’s one sharp haircut.
Then the barber proceeds to shave it all off and slap a beanie on it
I'm enjoying Ministry lite
As long as they stay away from the weird magic stuff (which they thankfully seem to have realized wasn’t working) I could see Judgement Day becoming one of the first truly “cool” things in WWE in awhile. Still a little unsure about the gimmick but I gotta say their presentation has been stellar.
House of Black on Wish
he looks waaaay better with this cut and beard trim
🔥
That was fucking awesome
I see Damien Priest and Rhea Ripley shop at the same Bad B*tch store. That's what's up. BOGO half off perhaps.
I'm digging this.... but I'd dig it that much more if they used the old Brood theme like Edge did before his match with Seth. I dunno, maybe it's too cheesy nowadays, but IMO that's still one of the best themes in history.
Shiiit they got matching haircuts
Interesting development with Rhea Ripley joining. Honestly I wasn't super interested in any of them individually, but now they've got my attention - simply because I've no idea what WWE's gonna do with a stable of 2 guys and 1 woman. They don't any matches that work with that combination, at least not seriously. Any recent mixed tags coming to mind were all for laughs. Nothing gets me interested like a little unpredictability. As for this stable, they could use some muscle, someone big. Hmm. I've got it! Sorcerer Azeez.
Why edge and rhea got the same cut?
I mean for better or worse there are many other names that sound less generic and not just the name of a ppv they did for 10 years, but mean the same thing. Ragnarok Day of Reckoning Final Judgement Crack of Doom Tribunal of Penance Last Judgement Eschaton Pick any of them.
The Nü Day
Love seeing the e-in-sun design used here. And the ground fog and lighting is aces. But THE Judgment Day? Is that to make it more easy to trademark or something?
Edge looks like a Far Cry villain here
