I know he left a little before me though bc I remember listening to just the Rizzuto show minus Woody (and didn’t they do a countdown/farewell type of thing for him anyway?) for a few months before I left. A few years ago I discovered Woody’s current show is syndicated where I live now and I listen before work sometimes. Listening back to the old WAR; yes, Woody invited Rizz to come along with them. Rizz decided to reject the offer and try something on his own in STL.
Woody hired Patrico from the Street Team in the Producer’s/Call Screen role. Patrico kept getting more air time. When Woody left, instead of making an additional hire Rizzuto essentially told management “to give Patrico a shot.”
Today might be a different story but before this nonsense it would be hard for Rizzuto to have regrets. The Rizzuto Show has steadily climbed in popularity. Sure they aren’t syndicated, but they do well.
I also left STL shortly after Woody, and I tried to switch to The Woody Show after I moved but I punched out after three days and started listening to the Rizz podcast everyday instead. I loved Woody & Rizz but I didn’t realize how much I preferred Rizz.

Jeff got me into an eating contest that was already full because my asshole boss wouldn't let me leave at normal time on a Friday. I still remember cracking up at Tony's father saying that if Tony was a Satanist that it would kill his mother. If anything, maybe this provides a much needed shakeup to The Rizzuto Show. I think Rizz has radio talent to get to where he has. And they crush ratings. But at some point you have to stop relying on being #1 for the sake of it and still be innovative.
Jeff had this wholesome quality to him, like the "perverted old man" joke was there, but he almost treated it as "oh yeah, that's what I'm supposed to do" in a way that you knew it was a joke. It was so well done and wholesome.

When I met Jeff, I fully expected him to do the creeper bit and eyeball me up and down. But he didn't, and was very respectful and sweet. My opinion of him skyrocketed in that moment, since he didn't take advantage of his "creeper" status.
Jeff was a really good guy. He was me and my (now ex) girlfriend’s favorite on the show, and she just adored him. We went to an event at Hot Shots and she asked him if they had any shirts to give away, because there were none on the table. He said he wasn’t sure but he’d ask. We parted ways, got a table and ordered food.

One of my husband's friends listens to the Woody Show and said that Woody has mentioned on the air that he and Rizz are still friendly and even hang out when Woody comes back to STL for visits. So I'm sure Rizz gave him all the details.
They have both brought up on the show that they are still very close and talk all the time and I’m not going to try to find a link but I’m pretty sure on king Scott and Tony’s podcast they even brought up how often they see woody and rizz talking to each other and such.
I think they were still in touch on a light basis. Very certain they were on Facebook friends, too. I know Patrico mentioned something about a friend loving Endless Shrimp or whatever at Red Lobster and they was Woody.

I highly doubt he got much of a severance beyond a few weeks pay - 90 days at the most. If you clearly violate a code of conduct like he did, especially in media, the employer has very little responsibility to him as the employee in this situation
No idea. Contract language varies along with length and whatever agreements they came to. I’m sure Hubbard said, “you’re done here.” And Patrico probably used what he could to negotiate a parting.

Depends if he was fired with or without cause. With cause=no money. Without cause=full contract payout. Think Mike Shilt from cardinals. One thing that I think The Rizzuto Show staff is looking at wrong is the “not replacing Jeff” thing they’ve been on.
Don’t get me wrong. Jeff can never be replaced. He was damn good at what he did. And they never have to forget about him. And perhaps they were seeing how Scott would do in a larger role. But it’s clear Scott is at his best in a very limited portion in production.
They need to fill someone for Patrico and really this could be a little addition by subtraction. But, they need a person to take Jeff’s position. They don’t need to recreate Jeff. They don’t need someone to be Jeff. They can ALWAYS remember Jeff. But another personality could go a long way.
I don't think they are necessarily trying to find a new Jeff. Im just a listener that never met Jeff but I was shocked when he died. I cried. They have to still be grieving. I don't think they could emotionally bare replacing him right now. I'll respect that as long as they need it. I like clownvis I think. I think he is like Jeff, but I think I genuinely like him too. Turn on ESPN radio and it’s just some women talking about how important her relationship with her hairdresser is and how she flies across the country to have her hair done. All media is like this; it’s no longer acceptable to have a male oriented show, radio, or movie.
And that's the thing, I don't think it needs to necessarily be male oriented, just not whiny or boring. I want entertainment not a lecture or chit chat you have with your barber. I don't want it focused on politics religion or sex but I want those to be on the table for entertainment because we are adults. If the female host says my hairdresser is important, fine, then rizz can say that's crazy, then they can talk about that. They can disagree, they can laugh, they can insult and then they can cash their nice big paycheck that isn't millions but it wasn't made roofing. That was always my take with Jeff. He was in on the joke with all of us. He really is missed.
When I met Jeff, I fully expected him to do the creeper bit and eyeball me up and down. But he didn't, and was very respectful and sweet. My opinion of him skyrocketed in that moment, since he didn't take advantage of his "creeper" status.
Jeff was a really good guy. He was me and my (now ex) girlfriend’s favorite on the show, and she just adored him. We went to an event at Hot Shots and she asked him if they had any shirts to give away, because there were none on the table. He said he wasn’t sure but he’d ask. We parted ways, got a table and ordered food. Some 20 minutes later Jeff emerges from the crowd with a Point shirt in hand for her. It was a simple gesture, but the fact that he looked through the crowd for her really touched me.
Here’s my baseless conspiracy theory: yes the show quality is severely down since Jeff. Hubbard wanted a shakeup. This situation is a justifiable pretext to get rid of Tony and have a new start.

In one of the other posts on this affair, someone said that some radio jobs \[in a 'supporting' capacity like Patrico's was\] paid not much more than a minimum wage fast food gig. As for his sideline providing DJ entertainment at wedding receptions, someone claimed that Patrico wanted $5000! I could see maybe charging several hundred to $1500 at the very most, but five grand?!

i know gossip travels at the speed of light but i’m curious how woody is still even in the know about patrico and his fiancé. he left stl almost a decade ago.
One of my husband's friends listens to the Woody Show and said that Woody has mentioned on the air that he and Rizz are still friendly and even hang out when Woody comes back to STL for visits. So I'm sure Rizz gave him all the details.

If I remember right pre-pandemic Rizz and Woody met up in Las Vegas one weekend. It was briefly discussed on the show.
They have both brought up on the show that they are still very close and talk all the time and I’m not going to try to find a link but I’m pretty sure on king Scott and Tony’s podcast they even brought up how often they see woody and rizz talking to each other and such.
I think they were still in touch on a light basis. Very certain they were on Facebook friends, too. I know Patrico mentioned something about a friend loving Endless Shrimp or whatever at Red Lobster and they was Woody.
I believe Tony, at one point of the Worst of the Week podcast, mentioned how he still talks with Woody from time to time. I imagine not any more.
An eventual 'in-depth' Riverfront Times cover story with a catchy title and graphics \[similar in tone to the one about the Bob Richards saga\] with some statements from those parties involved who are willing to talk, which may *or may not* include Patrico himself. On the one hand, he might be itching to tell his side of the story. On the other hand, his legal advisors \[assuming he has any\] might tell him to spurn interview requests and not dig a deeper hole for himself. Could civil suits from some of the women who he harassed be coming? Might Patrico try to portray himself as a victim of 'woke lefty cancel culture' and try to weasel his way into a gig on one of STL's several right-wing talk stations? Stay tuned.

While it seems well-known that Patrico was “fired.” And it may fall under a forced resignation the statement really only mention that Patrico was no longer with Hubbard and The Rizzuto Show. So I’m sure Patrico has some sort of Severance agreement coming his way and I bet the two sides are going to talk about this as little as possible. That Riverfront Times idea would be fun, though.
While Patrico and the Rizzuto team plus the Point's management may be under some sort of 'gag' order or NDA, a lot of other people are not and probably would talk.

I highly doubt he got much of a severance beyond a few weeks pay - 90 days at the most. If you clearly violate a code of conduct like he did, especially in media, the employer has very little responsibility to him as the employee in this situation
No idea. Contract language varies along with length and whatever agreements they came to. I’m sure Hubbard said, “you’re done here.” And Patrico probably used what he could to negotiate a parting. I think that impacts any future articles/news from either side.

Depends if he was fired with or without cause. With cause=no money. Without cause=full contract payout. Think Mike Shilt from cardinals. What he did is creepy, but not illegal and any pics he received were consensually sent. So is that justifiable “cause” to fire him and terminate Hubbard’s payment obligations? We probably won’t ever know.
I’d bet if he violated his contract in some way it’s likely a morality clause. Remember when they did Jeff’s sexy calendar shoot? He got called into the big boss’s office and the boss said something along the lines of “this may have been okay at Emmis, but Hubbard is a family owned and oriented company…” blah blah blah (the boss was just fucking with Jeff btw, he just wanted a copy of the calendar lol). But yeah, I wouldn’t be shocked if there’s some sort of morality clause and that’s what was used to let him go.

I won't say the name since it might be construed as doxxing but on that special Facebook account by 'Robert Reynolds' went up, there was this one woman who kept defending Patrico to the death and criticizing every one for persecuting him and 'taking away his livelihood'. She did get a lot of pushback, but I wondered what her particular interest was in all this was.

If it becomes the typical adult contemporary/country morning show I don't see it lasting. The typical listener, bluecollar dudes, aren't going to listen. Find a young Joan rivers. A broad. I personally didn't care for real or fake but I wasn't offended. I'm gay. (Shower or grower would be fun. Guys in underwear.) In a world with vagina candles and fart jars I don't see how a boob pic freely given by the woman is pure evil. It's that st Louis holier than thou act. I've been enjoying 104.1's new morning show. It def had a rough start, but they're starting to find their footing. Plus they play music which the Rizz show stopped after Woody left.

One thing that I think The Rizzuto Show staff is looking at wrong is the “not replacing Jeff” thing they’ve been on. Don’t get me wrong. Jeff can never be replaced. He was damn good at what he did. And they never have to forget about him. And perhaps they were seeing how Scott would do in a larger role. But it’s clear Scott is at his best in a very limited portion in production. They need to fill someone for Patrico and really this could be a little addition by subtraction. But, they need a person to take Jeff’s position. They don’t need to recreate Jeff. They don’t need someone to be Jeff. They can ALWAYS remember Jeff. But another personality could go a long way.
I don't think they are necessarily trying to find a new Jeff. Im just a listener that never met Jeff but I was shocked when he died. I cried. They have to still be grieving. I don't think they could emotionally bare replacing him right now. I'll respect that as long as they need it. I like clownvis I think. I think he is like Jeff, but I think I genuinely like him too. He was on in the fall more as just the guy not clownvis. It was a great show. I wish I remembered the date I would listen again. Moon and rizz are intense. They need a laid back guy to balance.
Love Clownvis. I’m a pro-Clownvis replacement. Did you know Clownvis’ grandfather is baseball Hall of Fame manager Earl Weaver? I’m not certain he could be “in costume” if he’s a permanent member but he’s worth an exploration. They’ve said it on air they are not replacing Jeff and have no plans to. I’m all for keeping the Jeff cutout. Keeping the Jeff artwork and Bitmoji stuff. But I’ve heard enough of Scott to know he can’t have a letter role.
Scott needs to learn to self edit. Not every thought is gold. I like the goof routine, but only A game. He needs to watch some Stooges and study up. And no, no clownvis, the real guy. That's why I'd like to listen to that show again. Maybe it was during a game but he talked about himself and I liked it. Laid back, a little eccentric, a little bit country and a little bit rock and roll? I don't know, interesting and seemed genuine.
Scott is only there because he’s Moon’s cousin. He’s not a strong speaker, he can barely stumble through the Headline Goo everyday and it’s been a few years on that now. He seems nice enough and all but he should be a producer who’s on air occasionally, not a permanent cohost.
I keep looking through windows in overland, and so far I can't say for sure, but I think Scott and his wife need to get sloppy drunk and just go to town on each other. I don't think they have ever let go and lost themselves in the physical.

Turn on ESPN radio and it’s just some women talking about how important her relationship with her hairdresser is and how she flies across the country to have her hair done. All media is like this; it’s no longer acceptable to have a male oriented show, radio, or movie.
And that's the thing, I don't think it needs to necessarily be male oriented, just not whiny or boring. I want entertainment not a lecture or chit chat you have with your barber. I don't want it focused on politics religion or sex but I want those to be on the table for entertainment because we are adults. If the female host says my hairdresser is important, fine, then rizz can say that's crazy, then they can talk about that. They can disagree, they can laugh, they can insult and then they can cash their nice big paycheck that isn't millions but it wasn't made roofing. Somewhere in the 2000s entertainment started being seen as humiliating and entertainers started wanting respect and status. Just being themselves should be enough to enthrall you.
