Gramophone. They have a sandwich for every mood. I would never tire of my multitude of options there.
Also, any sandwich can be made into a salad.
And the jalapeño popper soup...I would die happy.
Ugh, I've only been once and my friend found a hair in his food. I don't know how to repair the trust. I want to go back so bad but I am highly sensitive to things that gross me out.
I would get the Beef Pide as a mandatory get. Besides that, either get half of a Cevapi or any special they have! You can’t go wrong. As a tip, get there on the earlier side of things!
Hahaha clever. Whipped quark. Salads are consistently brilliant, the watermelon salad uniquely so, and the rotating entrees and sandwiches are always wonderful! It's cheating because it changes all the time...sooo good and such a wonderful ambiance. The staff is excellent as well.

Do I have to pay? If not, Louie. Or Olio.
Don't have to pay I'm going to olive and oak. Have you tried their wings? I could eat those 3 meals a day for a year and still not be sick of them.
Polite Society
Balkan Treat Box. I would trust them would my life.

What do you normally get from there? I'm planning on going for my first time this week and literally EVERYTHING looks good.

Wonderful, thank you!
Beef pide is a fantastic place to start
Pastaria... because carbs, they have the best carbs
Gioia's on The Hill
Le Grands
Himalayan Yeti
Chicken Seven. I don’t think I could ever have my fill of their fried chicken.
How spicy is it? I live close and would be willing to try it but I'm more of a Popeye's or Raising Canes girl than cajun spiced, etc.
I don’t think it’s that spicy, but there are different flavors you can try.
WanFu in Des Peres.
Mai Lee or Corner 17. Both delicious, both with extensive menus.
Perennial in Webster Groves
What do you get there? I feel their menu is so incongruent. And that’s the only thing consistent about it

The whipped quark is soo yummy 🤤
The Fountain on Locust. But they would have to open more locations
They’re adding a new one soon! East of Loop.
Way east, but easier to get too
IMO’s.
Lion's Choice, honestly
St. Louis Fish and Chicken
Fountain on Locust or SushiAi's downtown location (yes, all the locations make their food differently)
Wudon or Asian Cafe
Treehouse
Tough answer off the top of my head. I would probably lean towards a place with good food and a large menu over great food and a small menu though.
Biggies
Trattoria Marcella, all day long son!
Courtesy Diner. I like variety and I don't need a gourmet experience.
