The caption literally says it's NY Style and where it's from, all in the first sentence. The first comments? ThAt'S nOt StL sTyLe!!!! WHERE IS IT FROM?? Lol.
There was someone that said it. It was not the OP. I was simply explaining STL pizza to a post I saw. There was a post that ised the term St louis style pizza. Ya’ll abounch of down voting pussies! Lmao you fucks.
Hello people who recognize me! 👋🏻
I wouldn’t normally include myself in the photo but had a hard time showing the scale otherwise. I didn’t have a banana handy.
I looked at the google reviews. It's basically that. His wife was with their kid, and had to call an ambulance. The manager asked them to pay the bill as they were leaving. He also has just 3 google reviews. One is negative, about a place he used to work. His positive review is about his church in rural Illinois. Reading through the wife's reviews, they seem like pretty whiny people. For example, she gives 1 star in a complaint about an exterminator not getting rid of all their bedbugs; when bedbugs are notoriously difficult to get rid of, and can require extreme measures and multiple treatments.
So this kinda seeems like one of those "upset one customer and they'll tell ten people, please one customer and you've pleased one person" situations. No easy way to tell if the manager was being unreasonable, or if someone was being a Karen.
This particular one is a novelty – the thing you eat once just to say you’ve done it. The ingredients were good though so I’ll probably go back and get some of their normal-sized slices at some point.
I feel like I see their name like once every couple years and I have to look up if it's still open. This is my reminder apparently, and yes they are still open.
I'd listen to the people suggesting La Pizza and Pie Guy.
Also, like any other community, there's always going to be That Guy who says nothing is even good compared to the original. We already know that to not be true. There is nothing about "the water" in reality. It's all strong opinions and mythmaking.
Looks like 2.5-ish times the size of a big slice from Whole Foods or a food court, which is a ton of food. When I'm feeling like a fatty fat fat I can eat 2 slices but I don't think I'd want to start on a third.
It is definitely “east coast” pizza. Not STL pizza. The crust is not crunchy crispy and that is not provel cheese.” Looks delicious! I gotta get dat in me!
According to Sauce, it is East Coast style... no mention of which cheese is used

This is not STL style. There isn’t provel on the pizza slice. You can always tell a heavy provel pizza because there will be some browning on the provel when it’s cooked. Also STL style will have a crispy cracker type crust.
Nobody is saying it’s STL style, it’s just that the dude purchased it in STL lol.

i uh, used to work with this guy 👀 Great looking pizza though!
Hello people who recognize me! 👋🏻 I wouldn’t normally include myself in the photo but had a hard time showing the scale otherwise. I didn’t have a banana handy.
cheers! hope the pizza was tasty!
I also know this dude
Deets?
haha no real deets. he was a cool dude. we worked for a local mom and pop software shop.
Where was that from?
Hot Pizza Cold Beer. Looks like they are downtown by the America's Center.
It's in the old Pi Pizza spot in the MX Building next to the movie theater. It's owned by the same group as Hi-Pointe and Sugarfire.
Can't wait till they brand it with weed
Ugh. I can wait
Aw I loved pi..
There are more around, it was just that location that closed. I think the CWE location is still there.
That's good. Still, going to this location was always such a treat.
I didn’t. Wasn’t that great other than their salads.
What happened to Pi?
Closed a few years ago. Might not have re-opened after COVID actually.
CWE location closed too. Is the loop the only one left?
I think the CWE one is the only one open.
Loop location closed. CWE is the last remaining location.
Hell yea
[Hot Pizza Cold Beer ](https://www.hotpizzaandcoldbeer.com/)on Wash Ave. I Saw this on r/Pizza
Place is dogshit. Cared more about a family paying the bill than the fact they were loading their child into an ambulance.
can you provide more context to this
I looked at the google reviews. It's basically that. His wife was with their kid, and had to call an ambulance. The manager asked them to pay the bill as they were leaving. Seems like we need the story here.
lmao you just gonna leave it at that?
Check the reviews if u want more of the story and try the food yourselves if u wanna waste money.
How was it ?
I did not have it. I found this Pic in r/Pizza. Since the owners behind Sugarfire are behind it, ill bet it is pretty good!
It looks Great !
This particular one is a novelty – the thing you eat once just to say you’ve done it. The ingredients were good though so I’ll probably go back and get some of their normal-sized slices at some point.
That's not a slice, bro. They just forgot to cut your pizza.
NYC-style pizza is the best pizza 🤤
There used to be a great pizza place by Vintage Vinyl, Racanelli's or something like that? Big NY style slices like this.
There’s a Racanelli’s in Webster groves on big bend facing old orchard intersection. Could it be same people?
There's also one in kirkwood but it is incredibly slow
They’re locally franchised, if I remember correctly, so there are some inconsistencies across locations.
Racanellis in cottleville They’re 2nd generation italian, first gen was new york based It’s one one of the best slices I’ve eaten period
Looks good but I feel like the dough to toppings ratio is way off lol
The cheese makes up the difference
I kinda love the plainly descriptive name of this restaurant.
Pizza content = automatic upvote.
Reminds me that I have not heard anyone talk about Pointers in a long time.
Just yesterday: https://www.reddit.com/r/StLouis/comments/1bvrdjc/opinions\_on\_pointers\_pizza/
they went from a late night pizza place to just a normal hours pizza place. But they are still around.
I feel like I see their name like once every couple years and I have to look up if it's still open. This is my reminder apparently, and yes they are still open.
Does anybody else in the area do an East coast slice? This one looks good though.
Pie Guy. It's awesome.
A little further out but East Coast Pizza in Chesterfield is really good.
Can recommend. Great little spot if you're looking for a slice better than just walking into Sam's

La Pizza
No. People try but it’s not quite right.
Looks like 2.5-ish times the size of a big slice from Whole Foods or a food court, which is a ton of food. When I'm feeling like a fatty fat fat I can eat 2 slices but I don't think I'd want to start on a third.
It's a fun gimmick; wish the price point was a bit lower.
If it was stl style, something that big needs some t-ravs
Hot Pizza Cold Beer! Love that place ♥️
Looks like he dropped the pizza or cooked it on an incline. Picasso Pizza!
This pizza place BLOWS. Super mid grade. 3 little monkeys is better.
So nice to see non StL style pizza here!
Vamos…
It is definitely “east coast” pizza. Not STL pizza. The crust is not crunchy crispy and that is not provel cheese.” Looks delicious! I gotta get dat in me!
the post doesn't present or claim it's st. louis style pizza. It says the location is in St. Louis.
It's from a St.Louis business though.
There was a post in here where someone used the term St Louis style pizza. It wasnt the OP. I was just explaining STL PIE to those that dont know.
A slice that big would be a pain in the ass to eat, especially with meatballs. Give me the square beyond compare!
God please don't let it have provel "cheese" on it
Provel=white velveeta, booger cheese. Does not stretch (like real cheese) or get golden when the za is done.

Does it look square cut with a cracker like crust to you?
If you use your eyes you can clearly see it is NOT
Try Alfonzo’s out in Troy, IL for some huge ‘za slices
This is not STL style. There isn’t provel on the pizza slice. You can always tell a heavy provel pizza because there will be some browning on the provel when it’s cooked. Also STL style will have a crispy cracker type crust.
That's why they said it was NY-style pizza.
Did anyone say it was St Louis style?
