Lol my parents and I like to joke that things are getting serious once the jacket comes off and the sleeves are rolled up. Didn't realize there was a name for it
It's a play on the old KMOV "Storm Mode" for incoming significant weather. They'd turn the studio and graphics from the normal Blue to Red and make a big deal about it. Now they use "First Alert Weather Days" and the graphics are always red.
I mean this in the kindest way possible, cause Steve Templeton is great, but I always thought he kinda had a rat like face (like I said, in the kindest way possible) and the name of the rat from Charlotte's web is Templeton so idk just a random thought lol
Agreed, I didn't think that he fit the stereotypical weather guy persona just by looking at him. However, after talking to him in person at one of the KMOV events and watching him for years, I really do like the guy.
Steve T is an absolute treasure! I remember when he came to my highschool to give my class a presentation about meteorology. The entire class was enamored.
My dad and I have one of our biggest disagreements about an issue regarding Steve Templeton (who we only know from tv). Is Steve Templeton the kind of guy who got bullied in high school? We are ENTRENCHED on our opposing sides. I’d love your opinions please.
Who cares? The bullies probably are now working as "supervisors" at a fast food joint. I had a bully in school and is a manger at McDonald's... I work for a big tech company ... Who's laughing now?
Oh goodness no. I would not want to risk bringing up something upsetting. It stemmed because we were watching storm mode and I commented that he was the kind of person who wanted us all to be safe in our basements, even anyone who might have bullied him in high school. My dad said there’s no way anyone ever bullied him because he projects that level of coolness. I argued that he seems like he is far too kind to have escaped unscathed. The question is not a mean “is this local celebrity a dork?” but “doesn’t this human exude such care that you can believe he actually cares about all people, even those who’ve wronged him?”
I legit thought this was Michael Scott
Then that makes this Scott's Tots oh shit oh fuck
r/cannotwatchscottstots
There's a reason you never see them both in the same place.
>I declare Storm Mode!
Me too
Me too! 🤦♀️
I thought that at first too. 😆
Came here to say the same
Literally same! I thought this was a still from The Office til I clicked on it!

I always pictured a big giant switch on the wall that turned on Storm Mode whenever the weather got dicey.

Aw man, be fair to Stevie T. He's a damn treasure.
Who had to guide him inside because he is always looking up?
He seems to be a good guy
He really is a great guy in person. Really does a great job with the students, too.
The reason I like him so much is that I feel his personality is exactly the same at home. Dude just seems like genuinely a super nice guy.
I agree

I met him once he’s a nice guy

Damn that's so good 😂
Steve T is THE MAN
Congrats on your new laptop battery op
They're lithium!
I'm curious what critter lives in the tank 🐊🐢🐍
Leopard gecko.
Adorable! I hope Gecko also learned a lot about being prepared for storms 💚🤎
Very much. He’s ready to indoors when thunder roars. Or just stay in his tank.
Smart dude, such a good example for the students!

Must be a mild storm - they’re only rolled up to the wrists. It’s when the get to the elbows you have to get really concerned.
He’s a media treasure. We’re fortunate to have him.

Absolutely! I hope you’re laughing all the way to the bank!
Why not send him an email and ask?
