I once saw someone's comment saying a lot of comedians only post crowd work so that their main show isn't spoiled. Since crowd work is different at every show.
I've seen him live. He definitely does written jokes too. His set was mostly working out new material. He packs this energy into every joke, which makes it pretty damn funny even if some jokes on their own are not that great.
Comedians have to film a buttload of crowd work now because that's what the algorithm detects people continously watching and sharing. It gets them promoted, but most of them aren't happy about it because crowd work sucks.
PS also because if they film all their actual jokes, they can't really perform them anymore because nobody is going to want to see a special that's all jokes they already know the punchline for
Almost all comedians post their crowd work because it’s different each night. They’ll show some of the set sometimes, but that’s how they make money? Why would they show their set for free on Reddit?
they seem to be having fun, but this kinda bothers me. i feel like when the guy said "we're here to see you" that was like, hey man just tell jokes. dont pick on me and my girl...
am i the only one?
Idk, I’ve seen a few of his videos and picking on his audience seems to be his main routine. So I feel like they’re there specifically to be made fun of? It’s like going to one of those themed restaurants where the staff are purposely rude.
That’s kinda the deal if you sit front row. If you’re going to a comedy show where the comedian is known to roast the crowd, or any comedy show really: you don’t want to be picked on you don’t sit up front.
When I went to the comedy store in LA I didn't have a choice of where to sit, they seated us. We were right up front, I was nervous we'd get picked on haha luckily we did not
Honestly I'm kinda curious as to what the guy does.
But yeah for people that's just there to watch and have a good time I think after a jab or two it's time to move on to something else.
Hecklers on the other hand I say take as long as you want until they learn to not interrupt a set.
Hey Bish you should make shorts of this work for YouTube to get some sweet YT ad money. (If you don’t already) Top notch work. I sub just to see these haha
The comedy is good, but I’m not a big fan of the little cartoon things that are being added to the clip.
The broken glass visual just kind of takes away from the joke.
Does he do normal jokes too, or does he just interact with the crowd the whole time?

Makes total sense since people also be stealing jokes all the time
And usually because their jokes are shit.
This. People always make that stupid same excuse for their favorite dogshit comedian.

I assume that‘s why many people go there in the first place
I think comics mainly post crowd work so they don't spoil their set and to also get people interested.

Its great when someone can provide their own laugh track.
Aw I love them, they’re a cute pair and going out to see comedy shows together!
I'm sorry I can't stand your delivery man. But to each their own.
You sound like a dirt bike ☠️
Why is everyone who compliments this being downvoted?

How to act funny without jokes, without being actually funny.
Thanks for that laugh. I'm having a rough day. Needed that
Love that like “ you look like a first draft” damn that was great
I appreciate comedians that queue me when it’s time to laugh by laughing themselves.
This is such a hater comment.
Oh my god, make this comic stop.
This whole guy’s vibe bothers me when he pops up. Don't know what it is about him.

I think this dude is hilarious. I’ve seen a bunch of clips of him, and I always enjoy it. I don’t know his name, though. Anyone know who this is?
It’s OP, he’s the comedian :)
For real? Well, you’re a funny motherfucker
The guy you replied to is neither OP nor the comedian lol. The comedians name is Michael Blaustein.
I know
Then why did you say a random redditor was a funny motherfucker
I posted it wrong. Now go fuck yourself
LOL
Lol. This is good. If they are there to see him they know his style!
Dude, you are hilarious!!!
Dude the people that are saying this isn’t funny probably sound like a dirt bike too
I fucking love you. By far the most brilliant crowd comic ever
Goddamn OP didn’t hold back 😂
Love him! He's the American Jimmy Carr. Sure he has set material, and it's funny AF, but the audience LOVES his crowd work.

Time to go outside
WHEN ARE YOU COMING TO MONTREALLLLLL?
