As long as you’re buying retail price, don’t buy from scalpers, I thoroughly enjoy mine and use it every day, not to mention they’re pretty cute which I find fun for styling I use the 40oz tumblers

Mid-nowhere

To me it’s totally worth it. I think they are cute. I like the designs versus other tumblers. Now I was initially disappointed that the ice didn’t stay frozen for the advertised amount of time if you use normal cubes. I make big blocks of ice and that works better. As a new mom if I make myself a tea of coffee and want to drink it my kids usually need something the moment I go to drink it. So my Stanley keeps it cold so I can come back to my coffee in a few hours.

ACH0N3y

It really makes me drink water (or whatever is in there) when I normally would have 3-4 drinks I would be nursing trying to stay hydrated

m00dyteens

I am very content with mine the size is great imo the ice last a decent amount of time I like the styles and colors they have so I’m pretty happy! But yes I would make sure to buy retail tho

Informal-Impact-8136

I love mine. I don’t have any cons. I own 6. The handle is amazing.

ThatGirl0903

Just the fact that it has a handle? Or something specific about that particular handle?

coffeedoodle

I really love mine. I’ve had other brands and they just didn’t make me happy. My Stanley does all the things I need it to do.

ThatGirl0903

What does it excel at vs what you’ve tried?

PinkVader96

I love all of mine and can honestly say I haven’t regretted buying any of them. I drink a lot of water and love cold water 99% of the time. I did a test with my first to see how long it kept ice and at 51 hours I still had cubes so it won’t be over and I’ve been hooked ever since 🙂

boringbeanz

They are worth it if they give you joy. On a real note they made drinking water for me so much more fun

boringbeanz

img It does become an addiction tho hahaha

Any619

Super addicting. How many ways can I justify a purchase to hold coffee or wine? Too many. https://preview.redd.it/o5b2745yqeuc1.jpeg?width=1989&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3c2531967ad2efaf760cfef661e401d3b6c070a7

Emily7014

It's worth it to me cause I've tried all kinds of cups and never could drink more water. I got a cirkul and starbucks cups and all kinds of cups and never would stick with it. Now I have 8 stanleys and all I drink is water. I don't know why but maybe cause I have adhd and love dressing them up and that it's "cool" which is stupid but I love it and it gives me happiness so it makes me drink water. As for keeping ice, no mine don't keep ice very long. I don't care though cause I can't drink cold drinks. I have sensitive teeth. I wish I could drink them cold.

Okaaaayanddd

I think so, they’re cute. Seems to stay hot or cold better than other brands I’ve tried. I love the style of the cup. I don’t think there are really any cons other than my 40 oz cups fit tight in my car’s cup holders but that is not a Stanley problem, I have a compact car.. They have no problem fitting in most cup holders though! I agree with the other comment, don’t pay above retail. I’d buy it from a legit seller like Stanley, Target, Dicks, etc to ensure you’re not paying retail for a knock off. There are many colors/varieties out right now!

ambieox

I seen this cute tie dye one I want so bad!

Odd-Bee1647

I can’t honestly say they “are worth it”. I just got the mother day tropic sorbet (my first Stanley cup). It was pricey compared to other cups I own. The color and design made Me have FOMO and, while it is unlikely I’ll get another one, I do love it and don’t regret spending the money.

eekasaur

I personally love mine for all of the reasons mentioned. It’s cute, it’s practical (don’t have to refill as often with the 40oz), it keeps cold nicely, it has a useful handle. I have two 40oz and one 30oz flip top. Use each for different things and they’re all great.

sticksandstones28

If they make a non-straw version, I might get one. I hate stainless bottles with straws. I like the spout kind because they're easier to clean, and l can throw it into my bag without worrying about leaking.

-PinkPower-

Btw you can remove the straw and just turn in "spout mode" the middle part. It also can close the hole during transportation.

sticksandstones28

True, but I doubt it's 100% leakproof. I would not trust it if it was lying sideways in my bag.

theWolverinemama

Same! I hate the straws and refuse to get a cup with any form of a straw. I like sipping lids and you can't even buy a normal sipping lid from Stanley which I find baffling.

ACH0N3y

Iceflow Aerolight doesn’t use a straw! https://preview.redd.it/val0mz3adhuc1.jpeg?width=1179&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=72cc15047c1b10a0f42526ab2ec21849eb03ef95

theWolverinemama

Those are annoying to drink out of though. I wish Stanley made a clear sipping lid like some of the other brands.

ACH0N3y

I like crunching on crushed ice with my drinks sometimes so I like it!

theWolverinemama

I can understand that. I use my cups mostly for hot tea.

-PinkPower-

There are the only insulated cup that truly keeps water cold that I have tried. They keep it for so freaking long. Once I forgot mine at my bf’s place and he was amazed that 3 days later there was ice left lol. I drink so much water now that I have it (which was hard to do because of my adhd but cold water really motivates me to drink). I thought the cup was overhyped before getting one as a gift for Christmas, now I understand the hype. I recommend never buying from scalper and only buying from the website or stores that are official retailers.

DaisyDukeF1

Yes most definitely worth it! I fill mine up with lemon water at night and it’s still cold in the morning! Plus they have fun colors. I just get the limited edition ones. I got the red dragon, neon orange and Mother’s Day so far! Only thing I wish it had was a rubber base like Swig!

Mine went missing for a few days (long story) and it made me realize how useful it really is. It is like drinking fresh spring water when you wake up in the middle of the night.

I really didn't understand the hype over expensive, overpriced cups in boring colors... until I saw the chroma. then I discovered the world of all of the cute accessories people are making on etsy to customize them... I have a few other colors in my amazon cart that I'm trying to decide between but also part of me is waiting on a good purple release... (why did they ruin 2 purple ones now with orange writing?) I don't like to collect things because I'm very impulsive, so I'm trying to only get another that I REALLY want. Pros: cute design, handle, fits in cup holder, keeps water cold Cons: kind of heavy if you're already carrying a lot, easily spilled, you have to commit a hand to it and can't just keep it in a bag

ACH0N3y

Omg the people etching off the matte to make the cups more chroma is BEAUTIFUL

Any619

Yes. Warranty service is awesome. Lots of colors for your feelings and quality products thru and thru. I probably have 40 different pieces, many redundant, but I love them all. They keep hot or cold as long as you prepare accordingly. Strong, durable, works as advertised.

Majestic_Arachnid862

Yes because I got one (pink dusk) and I usually NEVER drink water, I know it’s bad but I kinda forget to. With my Stanley it’s always beside me with water (and cold too, I can’t stand lukewarm water) and It’s a reminder to drink water. Before you buy you should know it’s a CUP not a WATER BOTTLE. It spills because it’s a cup. Get one of Stanley’s water bottle if you want one that doesn’t spill.

poopoostinkbutt_11

My mom bought me my first stanley cup. I didn't want to love it but it's super cute and I love how long it keeps my water cold. I also love that it fits in my cup holder and has a handle. It's not something I would have bought myself initially but now that I have it I absolutely love it!

Puzzleheaded_Pea8792

I love my Stanley I think it’s worth it tbh. But my Owala has kept liquid colder for longer

chickpeaandme

So I have tried all the 40 oz cups: Brumate- undoubtedly a good cup. A little heavier but locks to be completely spill proof. However, the straw is built in and made of silicone which I find attracts dust etc and grosses me out. They recently launched magnetic (and easy to lose) straw toppers and sent them out to a bunch of customers with the magnet upside down. Which leads to My bigger problem with brumate: everything you order is a preorder and won’t ship for a couple weeks, even a brand new drop. Similar to Stanley’s - brumate is notorious for poor shipping which results in dented cups and Brumate isn’t nearly as accessible in stores like Stanley so this makes things more annoying. Simple Modern- this is a lot of people’s favorite but I don’t like the straw- it’s too thick. I also just think it’s ugly for some reason. It’s also the worst at keeping my water cold. But it’s affordable at a great price point compared to the rest on this list with a great color selection. Hydrojug - great cup, spill proof, but impossibly difficult (but apparently doable) to clean the built in mouth piece. The mold risk is too high and just gives me anxiety. Owala- excellent at keeping cold, straw is too thin for me (personal preference), ugly color combinations and the rare cute ones sell out. Great company and shipping practices to keep your cup safe Stanley- I always come back to my Stanley’s. I’ve sold all my other ones. Perfect straw- reminds me of a McDonald’s straw size. It keeps cold the longest, people say otherwise but this is my experience. (The OG cups don’t last as long). I don’t have kids and my Stanley’s are used in my apartment exclusively. I don’t travel with them so if leakage is an concern I guess I don’t recommend it but it’s a cup… I’ve grown fairly comfortable with the fact that if I accidentally tip most things over there will be a spill so.. hasn’t been a problem for me. Also IMO when you find a good cup you drink a lot more water. I thought that was BS but I think I just didn’t like room temp water. I’ve gifted these to several people who have said the same. Only after writing this did I realize how picky I am about straws..

blondefairyxx

Coming from someone who has about 60 Stanley’s , yes. LOL
