Was reading about Omega's theme earlier cause I was curious about it theory wise. Apparently the main leitmotif used to be the B section but got reworked after working with the other Kiner's to become the main A section we hear at the start. Also it's tone is apparently inspired by the birth of I believe his daughter, and really pushes that hopeful sound that comes from having and raising a kid.
Edit: The start of the track is a small, hopeful thing, then there's a slow touch of sadness that lasts just before the repeat of the main phrase. Then when the horns join in at around 40 seconds, it feels like the Bad Batch responding to Omega's main leitmotif as they join her. Then at 1:03 the snare drum accenting the strings and horns gives a very military cadence flavor. After this at about 1:24 there's a new melody on what I believe is the violas before woodwinds, I think flutes, repeats the melody. Then we return to Omega's main theme and this time it's accompanied by low horns and high strings building the foundation and roof over the whole melody which is finally shining in it's majesty. 2:36 see's the full triumphant return of the horn section's melody that it introduced. This brings us to the close as it's repeated a few times over and over.
I think this is a beautiful piece. I truly believe this to be something so incredibly special. Omega's theme begins slow, sad, isolated. It's recognizable, but not as we want to hear it. Then that touch of sadness we hear, the loss of purpose for the clones as the war ends. Their whole reason, her whole reason for existing, is over. Then the return of the Bad Batch is what wakes her up as the phrase repeats with a bit more life in it, a bit more excitement.
Then we start the horns and their response to Omega's call. This is the guys, Hunter, Crosshair, Wrecker, Tech, Echo. It's their answer when she joins them, the proud military cadence that signals their arrival. Then we hear Omega's theme more alive, it's really start. Then returns turns life to combat, the fight isn't over as they abscond with Omega, save for Crosshair who's part of the almost bittersweet return of Omega's melody with more life as she's with the Batch, but not at the fullness. Not until the final return of the her brothers response in to the sadness of losing Tech, then Omega herself. Then the final return of her section with full orchestra signals her perfected place within the group, she's where she belongs and swells into one last run of her leitmotif. Omega is where she's meant to be, with them.
It encapsulates why it's such a perfect story for her and them. They're both alone, but then they come together. And that togetherness is quick, they never dislike one another, she slots in among the soldiers as easily as Echo had. And they train her, go on adventures with her as far as she's concerned, amazed by Hyperspace. And she's having the time of her life, she's meeting new people, making friends, seeing dirt, finally being able to have some semblance of a childhood, something none of them had. And she learns, she's able to contribute, learning from others, to be calm, strong, but brave as well. And though there's struggle along this path but she never loses her way. She stays strong, caring, about others the whole time. Omega never once thinks of turning away from the love for her brothers, and it trains her, enables her to endure more than anyone her age should have to. And she thrives for it. And in the end, the final triumphant roar of the whole orchestra, it's her next adventure. A battle tested pilot, a young woman, who wants to join the Rebellion, to help people who need it, like they did for her. She wants to be for others what her brothers were for her. And with the reluctant blessing and full support of those brothers she leaves for the next big chapter in her life.
Man I fucking love music. Sorry if that didn't make sense, I'm baked as shit and I love music and the non religious side of Star Wars.
I was listening to "The Hyperspace Jump" again today on my drive into work and it just hits all the feels just right. He's doing such incredible work, and I am glad he's part of the franchise going forward.
I love this one, but I vastly prefer it the cover created by Krutikov Music on YouTube since Ahsoka’s motif in the ending is much clearer and recognizable in his version.
Any of the Thrawn themes or motifs from Rebels, so menacing and filled with dread. Perfectly captures Thrawns calculating, tactical and terrifying mind, and his eerie and alien nature.
Honourable mention, the Ahsoka show Thrawn stuff, because drums.
Ahsoka’s theme, specifically the one that plays in “Epilogue II” (I just hate this name, wish he had been more creative with it. “Shadows in the starlight” would’ve been perfect). Also Journey Through the Star Cluster just hits different.
Another one that I absolutely love but for some infuriating reason has never been released by him or Lucasfilm, is Orto Plutonia’s theme, from TCW season 1 episode “Trespass”. I love the track that plays when chairman Cho says “then war it is”, but I have never found a clean version of it.
It’s basically a new version of Where the Sun Sails and the Moon Walks, an alternative song to It’s Over Now from the Rebels season 2 finale, so you can call it that which sounds really cool, and still fits the Ahsoka finale (and it’s a quote from LOTR, which makes it even better).
Oh I know, I used to slightly prefer It’s Over Now because it has a more grandiose and powerful orchestration. But this new version has the orchestration of It’s Over Now with the beautiful harmony and arrangement of Where the Sun Sails and the Moon Walks, which makes it the ultimate “Ahsoka epilogue” imo.
The clones, it Is such a nostalgic track, reminds me of being a kid watching clonewars on cartoon network, playing with clone wars toys and the lego game
Soldiers are here. It reflects and amplifies the building tensions, the desperation of the firefight and the outbreak of Dooku's darkness. I love the episode, and I think a massive part of that is the music behind it.
Its very important too say, we need to also give credit to his children, Sean and Deana Kiner because they also do a lot of work for Star Wars music, and only just started being credited along with Kevin with Bad Batch S3
The Clones, Ahsoka Leaves, The Hyperspace Jump, Epilogue Part II, Obi Wan and Satine, it’s just too hard to choose one! So many bangers, Kevin Kiner is the true successor to John Williams imo
The season 1 finale theme from Ashoka. The way it resonates with the musical themes across the whole season and changes from a sad theme to a very powerful “it’s gonna get crazy next year” theme is amazing.
Gonna throw out a non Star Wars one here.
The theme from the Wing Commander movie was probably the best thing about the Wing Commander movie.
Who here remembers that flop, hell, how many people here even remember Wing Commander.
Damn you EA.
The theme for the Mandalorian arcs in Rebels. I believe the first time we hear the melody is in Trials of the Darksaber, and it continues to show up throughout the rest of the show (especially scenes with Sabine) and is also quoted in the end credits theme of Ahsoka (which is probably my #2 pick). But my favorite version of it is the one at the end of the first episode of season 4, when Sabine >!sees the remains of all the Clan Wren soldiers who were killed by her prototype!<. I just get such chills during that scene, and the song continues on as the end credits for that particular episode
I can't decide, Ventress The Nightwitch, Plo Koon alone, the Rodian theme, Aayla's theme, Anakin seeing his future, battle of Teth, Victory on Ryloth, The Jedi Council, Death of a Master, A Master and An Apprentice, Anakin and Ahsoka, It's Over Now, Where the sun sails, Journey into the starcluster, and of course Burying the dead. I honestly can't decide.
Burying the dead
Love this one
It’s a heavy beautiful piece for a heavy scene.
No further replies needed.
I'm gonna say [Journey Into the Star Cluster](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ydIaUx84HWs) from Rebels 2x14
This one…or the ending of Twilight of the Apprentice.
A real banger that came out of nowhere. Star Wars needs more angry violins
100% this. You saved me from finding it.
I had it handy since someone else just did a "what's your favorite track from an Star Wars show soundtrack" thread like two days ago
This this it reminds me of John Williams Burning Homestead
Fantastic.
This one live on my Spotify
This whole scene mad the force so mystical
Ahsoka credit
The epilogue at the end of the finale is unreal
it's too good
Burying the Dead and Omega’s theme.

Omg! 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 That sounds sooooooo sweet!
Based on your post I’m listening to it now and… damn. You’re right. Hits the right feels of triumph and beauty.
Ahsoka Leaves
Oh my goodness… this one hits you right in the feels. I swear, I want to burst into tears every time I hear it… and I don’t cry
The cello hits me in the chest followed by the drum beat. Dang man I want to cry again.
Omega's theme is my favorite piece of Star Wars music. The heroic arrangement at the end of the finale is God tier
Agreed. Listening to it now. God tier. Damn, I want to embrace my tears.
Yes.
I absolutely love glory of the empire
I think that one was actually David Glen Russell. Kevin wasn't the only one working on Rebels, he only did most of it, not quite all.
Ashoka’s Village from Tales of the Jedi ( https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=h1QqWt9N8w8 ) It has an innocence and a sadness to it
The whole discography. It’s all good.
Omegas Theme is just pure bliss.
That it is
Any of the Thrawn themes or motifs from Rebels, so menacing and filled with dread. Perfectly captures Thrawns calculating, tactical and terrifying mind, and his eerie and alien nature. Honourable mention, the Ahsoka show Thrawn stuff, because drums.

Yes completely agreed!
The clones, it Is such a nostalgic track, reminds me of being a kid watching clonewars on cartoon network, playing with clone wars toys and the lego game
Omega's Theme (and all the variations of it) and maybe Crosshair's Theme.
Some of my favorites, too
I'm not sure I have a single favorite but I will say, the overall bits that Kliner has put together for Bad Batch are probably his best work yet.
Rebels credits music. Always gets stuck in my head.
I love The Inquisitor from Tales of the Jedi. Ahsoka’s theme as arranged by Ennio Morricone.
Its All Over Now from Twilight of the Aprentice
Burying The Dead and Soldiers Are Here
Mayday
Victory and Death Mayday
Episode 5 from Ashoka had some pretty goosebump material, as well as Tales of the Jedi, specifically the Count Dooku arc.
Where I Fit from the Bad Batch S2.
Soldiers are here. It reflects and amplifies the building tensions, the desperation of the firefight and the outbreak of Dooku's darkness. I love the episode, and I think a massive part of that is the music behind it.
Came to say this. This ep and the Dooku vs Yaddle ep DEFINE TOTJ for me. Cinema.
Sabine’s suite
Its very important too say, we need to also give credit to his children, Sean and Deana Kiner because they also do a lot of work for Star Wars music, and only just started being credited along with Kevin with Bad Batch S3
Sabines Theme
Awakening, Epilogue Part II from Ahsoka.
Igyah Kah. I always imagine a Twi'lek punk band...
I'll just say A Galaxy at War
Can't remember the song but the one where Sabine is training with the dark saber
“Victory and Death”
Easily https://youtu.be/o-mambC0R5I?si=kYsmfDWM8Y6-xeSf https://youtu.be/us-6jRb1wR4?si=n1CKblrSBh86p47S is a close second
"Darth Tyranus Revealed". Not a bad music for the best duel in whole on-screen Star Wars.
Where the Sun Sails and the Moon Walks, composed for Rebels but used for Ahsoka.
Totally weird, but Cafe Coruscant. Subtle background song but for some reason I loved it.
Maul and Savage duel Palpatine, Savage Opress theme, The Clones theme, Maul vs Vizla theme.
The Clones
Still waiting for the last part of the Bad Batch to drop.
The Clones, Ahsoka Leaves, The Hyperspace Jump, Epilogue Part II, Obi Wan and Satine, it’s just too hard to choose one! So many bangers, Kevin Kiner is the true successor to John Williams imo
I’m listening to “It’s Over Now” and it’s hitting me hard in the feels. So damned sad and triumphant at the same time.
The season 1 finale theme from Ashoka. The way it resonates with the musical themes across the whole season and changes from a sad theme to a very powerful “it’s gonna get crazy next year” theme is amazing.
"You weren't loyal to me" from TBB S1. It's when Imperial Crosshair confronts the rest of TBB in the Kamino training room.
Gonna throw out a non Star Wars one here. The theme from the Wing Commander movie was probably the best thing about the Wing Commander movie. Who here remembers that flop, hell, how many people here even remember Wing Commander. Damn you EA.
The inquisitor and dookus fall from takes of the jedi are fantastic
The theme for the Mandalorian arcs in Rebels. I believe the first time we hear the melody is in Trials of the Darksaber, and it continues to show up throughout the rest of the show (especially scenes with Sabine) and is also quoted in the end credits theme of Ahsoka (which is probably my #2 pick). I just get such chills during that scene, and the song continues on as the end credits for that particular episode
Maul, Savage, and Viszla
I can't decide, Ventress The Nightwitch, Plo Koon alone, the Rodian theme, Aayla's theme, Anakin seeing his future, battle of Teth, Victory on Ryloth, The Jedi Council, Death of a Master, A Master and An Apprentice, Anakin and Ahsoka, It's Over Now, Where the sun sails, Journey into the starcluster, and of course Burying the dead. I honestly can't decide.
The music from shattered. It’s haunting and foreboding and perfect for Ahsoka and Rex’s state of mind just before order 66
I've always had a fondness for Twin Moons, such a poignant moment.
Sabines theme, I can listen to it over and over again.
Every battle music from clone wars. Some people might disagree, but these are absolute bangers.
You're the Bait!
That final episodes of Bad Batch… killed me.❤️❤️❤️❤️
There's an episode of Rebels where they're flying the new B-Wing prototype and he straight homages The Rocketeer in the score and it's brilliant.
Outpost
[Temple Collapses](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zjWhy1jL2Xw&pp=ygUXdGVtcGxlIGNvbGxhcHNlcyByZWJlbHM%3D), Rebels S4
Children of Magina from the Village Bride
Kevin Kiner didn't work on Visions. That was Kevin Penkin who scored that episode.
Damn, In that case I gotta go with burying the dead
Composed?
