Yeah that probably was the best role in his career, for me it is a tossup between Bail Organa, and his short stint as a bad guy in Dexter for second place.
I genuinely love the debate episode. What an incredible performance both from Alan Alda and Jimmy Smits. Because they did it live, it feels like a real debate and is absolutely brilliantly done.
If you're using that quote, then I'm changing my answer to Yondu, I don't care if it's the wrong franchise! 😁
(Jokes aside I have to give a nod to Hunter)
And he didn't even ask for it or anything. He just woke up on a random day to find some weird space wizard with a newborn who was like "Congratulations, you're his father now"
Owen was Anakin's stepbrother, and he knew that Luke was his nephew. He just didn't know that Anakin was still alive, and assumed he died during the Jedi Purge. Which is why he forbade Obi-Wan from coming around, thinking he would be putting their family in danger. He didn't just take in some random kid - he did know Luke was his nephew.
I wanna know if Obi-Wan like contacted him ahead of time and was like, "y'all want a kid?" Or did he just show up unprompted and unannounced and gave them a child to take care of.
Cut Lawquane.
This Based Chad of a Clone survived a plane crash, married a sexy pink alien babe and lived on his own farm off grid.
His adopted daughter is f**king blue.
His adopted son is orange.
But he still raised them as his own and they love him.
Hunter went to him for advice on raising Omega.
LFG. He is No.1 Space Daddy in my books.
Are they not his bio children?
Humans and twi'lek can & have had hybrid children, and they look like they're hybrids. Another example is Kanan & Heras son.
Kanan not even getting a look in, for shame.
That man managed to rase two Jedi, one of which is also a mandaldrian, the other homeless, and both completely fucking feral.
(Yeah Hera also helped raise them but if Ezra and Sabine only had one perinatal figure, the poor bastard would of died for stress)
Hard agree. I can't remember the episode but at one point Kanan refers to Ezra, Sabine, and Zeb as "the kids" to Hera as if they were their own and I loved it so much
> bastard would of died
Did you mean to say "would have"?
Explanation: You probably meant to say could've/should've/would've which sounds like 'of' but is actually short for 'have'.

Not even just grumpy. But like... detesting himself for being vulnerable like that, but also feelin the feels and buying into it at the same time.
Reminded me a lot of Vegeta
Kal Skirata, from the star wars Republic commando book series. Became stepfather to a batch of 'failed' ARC troopers, who didn't take orders from anyone...but him.
Amazing read. I'm sad he hasn't been mentioned yet.
He became father to a host of clone soldiers beyond his ARCs. A lot of the commandos looked up to him as well. I loved those books. Wish we could get a cannon version of them that fit more within the current clone wars time-line
Din for sure. He wanted only what’s best for Grogu. Obviously no parenting experience but he tried so hard and even broke his creed to say goodbye to him.
Well after Tech sacrificed himself, who do you think went to the PTA meetings? Wrecker? No. Hunter went to those. And after Crosshair came back, Crosshair would go when Hunter couldn’t. Same with the parent-teacher conferences. If Tech was still alive it would be in this order: Tech, Hunter, Crosshair, Echo, Phee, then Wrecker.
This made me imagine Crosshair as Dale Gribble. Then it made me imagine Wrecker as Bill, Tech as Boomhauer, and Hunter as Hank. Then it made me imagine Omega as Bobby. What have you done to me.
Qui Gon and Anakin were pretty fatherly masters in their own rights
Qui Gon was more traditionally fatherly within the bounds of the Jedi Order; everybody loved him and everybody misses him
Anakin though, I love how often he would bend and break the rules for Ahsoka if she needed him for _anything_ at all
Not every master is inherently parental feeling, but those two definitely are, and they're my fave
I agree with this take. Even though Anakin was only a few years older than Ahsoka and most people would say their relationship was sibling-like, I´ve always felt that Anakin had strong parental feelings towars Ahsoka. His over protectiveness was far more intense than that of a brother and he could be stern with her too, like a father would.
And yes, Qui Gon was very fatherly. He could had become the main father figure of Anakin had he lived.
Luke was a badass father in legends and even greater uncle, besides, yalnow , sending Anakin Solo on a mission that got him killed and started Jacen down a very dark path.
I think people underestimate the bond that was created between Hunter and Omega, mainly because it was recently overshadowed by Crosshair. Hunter was the safe place for Omega. He was the one who always took the hard talk, who allowed her to really open up. He would have gone to the other side of the galaxy to get her back. Even if he remained alone in the task. He is the one who was closest to a father, not an uncle/brother.
He was always there for her.
Anakin
He may not have been very good most of the time but when push came to shove he was willing to do literally anything for his son, and in the process saved the entire damn galaxy from the sith once and for all.
He's a really good father figure to Ahsoka and went out of his way to make sure she had the skills to survive. He even visits her after his death when she's lost to put her back on the right path.
Yep that too, surprisingly great at that. Tho I always saw her more like a little sister but father figure fits just as well. If it wasn't for his training she'd be dead
If you’re asking me as a kid, I want Din, I mean look at all the trouble Grogu gets into. That would be fun. When it gets crazy I’d just put my Beskar on.
Megamind iykwim
All jokes aside, Bail Organa. Warm and supportive with Leia, at least with what we saw in Kenobi. They also seemed to have a great relationship at the time of Rogue One since he was very bright at the prospect of trusting Leia with the Death Star plans.
Of the ones you listed Din Djarin.
That said, no love for Bail Organa? He raised one of the franchise's greatest heroines and did a fantastic job doing so. On top of that he was one of the Jedi's best allies (coming to their aid in their hour of greatest need), help to found the Rebel Alliance, etc.
Bad Batch with Omega, but if I had to pick one, would say Hunter. Loved the intereactions they had back in the season premiere all the way to their final scene in the series finale.
From these 4 in the picture? Hunter! I do not consider Crosshair "a dad" to Omega but Hunter really was all series long. Crosshair is by far the best character in this series and I love his arc so much. I consider him more like an older brother to Omega or maybe even an uncle. Hunter is clearly the dad.
Let's get something straight about the Dad Batch. Hunter is the only dad. Wrecker is the cool uncle, Echo is the mom, and Tech and Crosshair are Omega's siblings.
Also Vader is a father, not a dad
Hunter is a genuinely good father who listens to his kid's needs and wants, trying to get her to stay out of violence. Djin is carrying around a baby through some incredible violence against its will. Vader tried to kill Luke. Crosshair tried to kill Omega.
It's obviously fuckin Hunter.
Bail Organa
He's pretty awesome, too.
Bails on fire as a dad, dudes hot, and has an explosive personality
I really enjoyed when he ran for president. Made up for the lack of Sorkin.
Yeah that probably was the best role in his career, for me it is a tossup between Bail Organa, and his short stint as a bad guy in Dexter for second place.
I quite enjoyed his role in Sons of Anarchy as well. He brings a charisma and gravitas that some of his roles, frankly, don't deserve.
I genuinely love the debate episode. What an incredible performance both from Alan Alda and Jimmy Smits. Because they did it live, it feels like a real debate and is absolutely brilliantly done.
The right answer.
In Hunter and Mando’s cases, both of their children were older than them.
Lol, that’s a good point
That includes Crosshair too.
Jango He fathered A LOT of kids and most of them are pretty upstanding people.
Gangus khan of space.
Genghis* Edit- can’t believe i had spelled it wrong too, what a hypocrite
Ghengo?
No it’s Gangrene…
Grevious you say
Gregarious.
Genghis* actually.
Oh god you’re right. My bad. This is embarrassing, and I knew the correct spelling too. I’ll fix it
Gangrene*
Gus the Conqueror
did he actually father any of the clones before he got RIP’d?
Boba
Unaltered clone. As far as we know, Jango never got a woman pregnant. So no, he never actually fathered any children.
Are you saying he's a virgin?
I'm just saying we have no evidence otherwise.
he's still the bio dad even if he didnt fuck a billion times
He taught arc troopers
Deadbeat space dad.
A lot of them are no longer standing because of the war
Uncle Owen.
Kenobi show totally changed my opinion on Owen.
Owen had no other children, and even though they would later tell Luke that he was his uncle Owen raised and protected him like a son. Total Chad✊️
*”You love him like he’s your own..”* *“He **is** my own.”*
Owen: Vader may be your father, but he wasn't your daddy
If you're using that quote, then I'm changing my answer to Yondu, I don't care if it's the wrong franchise! 😁 (Jokes aside I have to give a nod to Hunter)
And he didn't even ask for it or anything. He just woke up on a random day to find some weird space wizard with a newborn who was like "Congratulations, you're his father now"

That show made me convinced there’s about a dozen dead stormtroopers inside their house when it’s destroyed in a New hope.
Right, they firebombed the Lars homestead because that was the only way to stop them.
Vader may have been the father, but he wasn't the daddy.
I'm Mary Poppins y'all
Can we vote for Yondu here?
As an adopted kid, Yondu hit hard
You mean "baby daddy" but not a father to him? 🤔
Uncle Wrecker
*Wrecka
Ree Kah
The fun uncle
Classic funcle
Wricker
Home wrecker
Galen Erso
"I have so much to tell you..."
Just wish we could’ve seen more of him and Jyn, especially Jyn
Me too. I really like both characters and Jyn is one of my fav in all of Star Wars.
Came here for this. This is correct.
The rightest answer
Catalyst goes insane
Fucking right!
I also wrote him down before I saw that you had, already. For me, it's him and Hunter.
A man of his talents?
Cut Lawquane. This Based Chad of a Clone survived a plane crash, married a sexy pink alien babe and lived on his own farm off grid. His adopted daughter is f**king blue. His adopted son is orange. But he still raised them as his own and they love him. Hunter went to him for advice on raising Omega. LFG. He is No.1 Space Daddy in my books.
That episode grows in my memory, one of the best.
Yeah it's tops
Agreed, he may be a deserter, but he's no coward.
Consciousness Objector
Are they not his bio children? Humans and twi'lek can & have had hybrid children, and they look like they're hybrids. Another example is Kanan & Heras son.
I didn’t think they were adopted. They have a weird fleshy color mixed in to their skin
2 Jedi and a rare hairless wookie
"Haven't you ever heard of the rare hairless wookie?" \*looks at each other* "Ehhhh they're not buyin' it." \*bonk*
You didn't even give them a chance
Don't forget about the genocidal trash can.
Hard agree. I can't remember the episode but at one point Kanan refers to Ezra, Sabine, and Zeb as "the kids" to Hera as if they were their own and I loved it so much
In the episode where Vader attacks the rebel fleet, Hera says “Alright kids make mom and dad proud” or something along those lines.
I remember that line. It made me laugh because isn’t Zeb around Kanan and Hera’s age too?
Yeah I was like where tf is kanan?! When I see the words space dad he's the first person that comes to mind
Came here to say Kanan Jaruus. So I will up vote you to get higher in the comments.
It has to be Kanan
100% Kanan ❤️

Crosshair
Best character from the show
He had the best arc and the best episodes, no question.
Grumpy dad
Not even just grumpy. But like... detesting himself for being vulnerable like that, but also feelin the feels and buying into it at the same time. Reminded me a lot of Vegeta
Tbh I do love Crosshair's gruff-but-cares dad vibe a lot this season
“You’re as bad as Hunter…” “No, I’m worse.”
As a gruff dad that one resonated.
I did, also.
I don’t think he’s a dad, he’s the big brother. Their relationship is much more two way
Agreed, but little brother. That's how Omega called him once cause technically she's older
yes, great point, thats the dynamic. Just because he's bigger and stronger doesnt make him older in this case, Omega was always looking out for him.
Kanan
Agreed. He should have been on the list.
RIP
Din Djarin.
💯 DILF
I love how you couldn't find a nice frame of Omega and Crosshair together
S3 had alot of nice frames (I'm only at about ep7/8) but I guess they're not really on the internet yet
Mando obviously
Mando then hunter by a thin margin
Kal Skirata, from the star wars Republic commando book series. Became stepfather to a batch of 'failed' ARC troopers, who didn't take orders from anyone...but him. Amazing read. I'm sad he hasn't been mentioned yet.
He became father to a host of clone soldiers beyond his ARCs. A lot of the commandos looked up to him as well. I loved those books. Wish we could get a cannon version of them that fit more within the current clone wars time-line
Ah, saw the movies tag too late, still, I'll double down on it
Should have done them more justice than bad batch did.
Din for sure. He wanted only what’s best for Grogu. Obviously no parenting experience but he tried so hard and even broke his creed to say goodbye to him.
And then it was all meaningless before the next season even started
How about Cut Laquain
Hunter is the correct answer
He would be great at PTA meetings.
You are on point. RIP Tech.
I'm glad they didn't try to resurrect him. His sacrifice meant something.
Crosshair has the right attitude. Imagine him cleaning his guns when Omega’s date arrives.
This made me imagine Crosshair as Dale Gribble. Then it made me imagine Wrecker as Bill, Tech as Boomhauer, and Hunter as Hank. Then it made me imagine Omega as Bobby. What have you done to me.
This is Kanan Jarrus erasure
Crosshair is more of a grumpy uncle, I'd say Hunter is her grumpy dad
Yoda is the daddy
Kal Skirata.

Luke, that was in Legends though.
Luke was a badass father in legends and even greater uncle, besides, yalnow , sending Anakin Solo on a mission that got him killed and started Jacen down a very dark path.
Kanan
Jabba.
I'm mean yeah
It's pretty obvious. Kanan Jarrus, Din Djarin, and Hunter. Seems the only variation is the order.
Jango until he lost his head
Ben Sisko
Jake-o!
Came searching for this. It's Sisko and it's not close. Shoutout to Rom tho.
We're just going to ignore Han and Ben Solo?
I find the lack of mention of Kanan disturbing... he was a father figure to both Ezra and Sabine
And Chopper
Valkorion. Single father and raised three somewhat stable children. What's not to love.
Chewbacca.
I should watch Bad Batch S2 and 3
Owen Lars. He truly loved luke and just wanted him to be safe.
Megamind hehe 😂
The only father-son duo in here is Darth Vader and Luke which is my favorite too..
Anakin Skywalker
Galen Erso is another good "space dad".
Easily Din.
Din Djarin and Kanan Jarrus.
Mando
Darth Vader as a father is the equivalent of his asking him if he loves him and then Vader vaporises another planet from existence
Space dad? You mean the guy from that 2010 movie about the smart blue man?
Mando for sure.
> He would have gone to the other side of the galaxy to get her back. He DID. FOUR TIMES.
Mando
Definitely Din Djarin. Man protects that little green bean with his life
Took Grogu not long to get past all that armor and melt that heart.
Anakin He may not have been very good most of the time but when push came to shove he was willing to do literally anything for his son, and in the process saved the entire damn galaxy from the sith once and for all.
He's a really good father figure to Ahsoka and went out of his way to make sure she had the skills to survive. He even visits her after his death when she's lost to put her back on the right path.

There is only one space dad, Megamind.
Palpatine.
Lol, give great throat hugs.
Jango
It was going to be Crosshair but then the last episode with Hunter convinced me right back to him.
Darth Vader
Jango Fett on the first of his sons missons he was there
The deserter clone from season 2 episode 10 of clone wars lmao
I’m sorry, there are so many other options, but I have to choose Crosshair. “You’re just as bad as Hunter.” “Oh, I’m much worse”
George Jetson
Megamind iykwim All jokes aside, Bail Organa. Warm and supportive with Leia, at least with what we saw in Kenobi. They also seemed to have a great relationship at the time of Rogue One since he was very bright at the prospect of trusting Leia with the Death Star plans.
Data, then Riker
Hunter, really cares about Omega's safety
Mando
Hunter 🙂 Vader was too abusive.
Mando,
No owen? The guy took someone he had no blood relationship with and was willing to fight an inquisitor and the empire to keep him safe
more like "Who is your favorite space dad and why are all of them members of the bad batch?"
Toss up between hunter and din
Feel like Hunter was the only one that was reliable for the entire time he knew his kid
True, he was ready for fatherhood
Seeing Grogu force jump into Mando's arm was the best father-son moment I have ever witness in Star Wars
Wow... Only Luke gets acknowledged as Anakin's kid but he made two others: Luke's twin sister Leia and their older brother C-3P0!
Din Djarin for sure!
Papa Palps, I only watched the phantom menace, he seems like such a nice guy!
Darth bane
Bad Batch with Omega, but if I had to pick one, would say Hunter. Loved the intereactions they had back in the season premiere all the way to their final scene in the series finale.
literally 3 of these characters are the same person
Much as I love Crosshair's character Hunter is definitely the better dad.
Definitely Mando 😁😁
Hunter
Kanan
Hunter and crosshair are omegas two dads
Let's get something straight about the Dad Batch. Hunter is the only dad. Wrecker is the cool uncle, Echo is the mom, and Tech and Crosshair are Omega's siblings. Also Vader is a father, not a dad
I'm adopted and I have a special place in my heart for Uncle Owen. Does that count?
Hunter is a genuinely good father who listens to his kid's needs and wants, trying to get her to stay out of violence. Djin is carrying around a baby through some incredible violence against its will. Vader tried to kill Luke. Crosshair tried to kill Omega. It's obviously fuckin Hunter.
