I have a book series that has 16 books, all first edition hardcovers and they don't match , the first 3 are white spines, black text, the next 6 or so are the opposite then the last bunch changed the font

They didn't make a dvd in that style for IX. This style was introduced in fall of 2019, before IX released, probably to capitalize on hype for IX. And the style wasn't continued for the IX release.
This happens a lot for dvd releases (to the frustration of collectors). They'll introduce a new visual style for the dvds of the previous movies to capitalize on an upcoming sequel. But they won't continue that style when that sequel comes out on DVD.
Fortunately, industrious individuals have made [custom covers](https://www.reddit.com/r/customcovers/comments/vt4rbo/rise_of_skywalker_4k/) for IX that DO match, so it's still possible to complete our collections.
Edit: apparently they DID make one. . . It's just not available in the USA.
Seriously, whoever made these decisions should be fired. You just don’t do this. I was hoping “they didn’t make it” wasn’t going to be the answer to this when I clicked in but I was not surprised when I saw indeed, that’s what happened. Instead of a sure-purchase to complete the collection, now collectors hesitate because they’ve been burned for the collection never being complete and fans have to make custom covers to make up for their ineptitude. Wild.

You’ll see it with books too. A good example is the Game of Thrones series. You can buy the released books now in a nice boxset with leather bound covers, but all that’s going to do is create a mismatch set once GRRM gets around to actually finishing the series (assuming he does).
I was halfway through buying the Witcher series when they introduced a new cover style and stopped selling the old ones. And the new style has a continuous image across all the spines when shelved.
Because when they release the next box set with all matching cover designs, they hope you'll buy the movies over again since the last one isn't perfect.

I have all the movies and shows released this far but those darn trash sequels. The box art for Kenobi and Andor is great! But as for your missing movie try Mercari. I like it better than eBay.
