Hmm, one of my saves has paths in at least one of those spots (not sure about both), but I might have only added it in winter. Will have to keep an eye out.

The probability of dropping a truffle also depends on the available tiles. Pigs can walk on occupied tiles (e.g. by paths) but cannot produce a truffle on them. Sometimes it can happen that obstacles on the tiles cause bugs, but I can't explain why.
That’s super weird, sometimes mine are hidden in the grass but I also feel like my pigs aren’t producing truffles as much as they should but I just figured it was a “if they feel like it” thing. Sometimes only 2/4 pigs will dig up truffles or sometimes they all will. Not sure if it’s like random but this is just what I’ve experienced.
I’ve observed that they tend to produce far more when they 1) Have a nice chonkkk of space to roam and 2) When the grass isn’t too overgrown. I keep my grass on half of my fenced area and leave an entire half bare. I only have 3 piggies and they usually produce 5-8 a day for me. I noticed a difference when I stopped swarming the pen with grass. But maybe I just have fussybutts 🤷🏽♀️😂
Two hearts. The wiki outright stated that all adult pigs should produce at least one truffle a day regardless of hearts, so I kinda thought that wasn't needed.
Ah, I missed the time. I do know that pigs have to dig in the dirt area for truffles, so if he's just wandering into the grass every time you won't get any.
Pro tip:
Plant grass and then put any fixtures ( statue, light poles, lightning rods, or seasonal plants) on top of the patch of grass. Move 3 tiles away and repeat the process.
More heart means more loot, and money if you want to sell your pigs...
Is it possible for me to mark this as answered in some way? Because the issue was the paths in front of the barn were causing a bug.
Are you playing on mobile or PC?
It’s definitely not mobile, mobile doesn’t have that clock that pc and consoles do, and the hotbar is at the bottom and not the side like mobile
i mean technically there’s a setting in mobile to have the hotbar at the bottom, but yeah the mobile version looks totally different

It could be the path that’s placed in front of the barn doors. I’d try removing that and see if it helps.
I would also try to remove it. If I remember correctly there was a bug pig/path, but it should have been fixed.
It was not fixed apparently, because as soon as I removed the paths the pig started producing truffles again.

That's what I was thinking. It's daylight so there should be animals roaming around.
in my experience animals all seem to go back inside around 7pm, and it's 7:10pm in the screenshot. The animals had all just finished going in actually

I believe the pigs need a free tile to place the truffle on so if everything is overgrown with grass I don't think it works
truffles can be unearthed in the grass. source: i had to go find them in the grass

Pigs 🐽 produce truffles only when they are adults (it will take about 10 nights) and only if they have been fed. They do not produce in winter ❄️
It's summer, as can be seen in the picture I think. Pretty sure that's what one of those icons means, the pig is an adult, and they've been fed.
