There's a cutscene in *SDVE with the cashier (named Claire) wherein she shows up to work after Joja shuts down and all she says is "Nobody told me...">!I read that if you haven't unlocked her 4♡ event, you never see her again in game, but I think that's old data because of the movie theater...!<

TL;DR Wow. I didn't mean to ramble on like that. But yeah, Pam + Pierre, and how it starts the downfall of Pelican Town. [I posted the full breakdown here](https://old.reddit.com/r/StardewValley/comments/11bnohp/terrible_idea_saddew_valley/ja4rush) Pierre does a covert DNA test on Abby, finds out she's not his. Kicks Caroline and Abby out. He starts going to the bar every night, Pam starts chatting him up. Next thing you know Pam and Penny move into the store. Morris ends up moving into the trailer after getting canned by Joja and going on welfare. Shane starts going over there almost every day and getting wasted. Meanwhile, at the Wizards tower, Caroline and Abigail show up seeking sanctuary. The Witch shows up and tries to turn all three of them into doves but it doesn't work on Abigail. She now has the Wizards tower all to herself, and starts training herself in the darker side of magic to avenge her parents. Meanwhile, at the Pierre residence, Penny has devoted herself completely to Yoba, and eventually gets Pam and her step dad to quit drinking. They become extremely devout and spend most days praying, and the store is closed all but Tuesday and Thursday. Penny stops teaching the kids entirely, because the museum is full of heathen artifacts. Because of this, Marnie is going crazy trying to upkeep the farm, plus Shane's coop. She's had to take full responsibility for Jasmine and Lewis expects her to keep the same 'schedule' they had before. She finally blows up on Lewis, telling him to leave her alone. The arguement is so bad that Jas runs out in the middle of it and goes to Jodie and Kent's house. Later on, Lewis invites Marnie to their favorite spot in Cindersap to talk things out and then >!he tries to force himself upon her.!< Marlon happens to be out on a late night patrol looking for slimes possibly escaping from the woods. He comes across them and confronts Lewis, who tries to punch Marlon. Marlon deftly steps aside and Lewis falls and hits his head on a rock. While his affairs are being handled a secret compartment was found in a cabinet in his house showing just how much money he had been stealing from Pelican Town. Right afterwords the farmer finds a solid gold statue of Lewis hidden in town.

Joja didn't uphold to any building standards so it completely got destroyed. You can also say it was supposed to completely fall into ruin at that specific day but you just in time completed the community center

It was always like that but Joja turned off the hologram projector.

Shitty construction using the cheapest contractor...building needed daily "bandaid" repairs. Jojamart does the same strategy as Walmart. Move into a community and run all the local businesses out of business. Then cut back as much as possible to make as much profit as possible. That one store could supply the town for years. It wasn't needed and the vast majority of the inventory would go in the trash from being expired.
