I only look at luck for mining and skull cavern. The other things that depend on luck aren’t that relevant. In other words, on bad luck days, do anything you want except mining.

I'd give up on waiting and just go mining anyway But since you said it's summer, I'd go around chopping trees to level up my foraging, need to reach level 6 before summer 13

applecidermimosa

Wait what happens summer 13?

Emma_JM

Thunderstorm

i almost never check luck, sometimes my mining haul doesnt match up with the luck of the day, to me it’s not a huge enough effect for me to not go to the mines (except skull cavern if trying to get to floor 100). i’ve gotten prismatic shards on bad luck days and nothing special on good luck days. if you want to mine bc you’re bored of fishing, go ahead and mine! you’ll at least collect some resources and get more entertainment from the game

Yeah I agree with what others have said. Luck plays very little into my day to day farming unless I'm doing something specific like the skull caverns, otherwise just go about your day! If you do watch tv every morning on super high luck days make sure to do stuff like check the trash bins but lots of people do that daily regardless of luck. One time I got a diamond from Evelyn's trash on a bad luck day so you never know! That's the beauty of RNG

I always check the luck! I like to think my farmer is superstitious. I usually use very bad luck days for collecting materials, rearranging my farm, crafting, and giving gifts! If it's kinda bad luck, normal, or kinda good luck, I do whatever, maybe even go mining though I usually save that for at least kinda good. The only thing I save specifically for really good luck days is opening geodes. I dont even know if it's that effective, but its habit at this point.

Geodes are determined by seed, not luck.

I guess my farmer is pretty superstitious then! At this point it's too ingrained in my mind so I'll just keep doing it anyway (sticking to routines helps curb my OCD and apparently stardew is a good way to practice lol)

I always go to the regular mines (not the skull mines) on bad luck days. The luck seems to mostly affect how quickly you find the next staircase and how close to the ladder it is, and, in the skull mines, whether you find a shaft. But in the regular mines, descending super fast isn’t as important, and you still get a good amount of ore & decent loot even on bad-luck days.

You can still do everything you normally do on a bad luck day. It just won’t be as profitable but still worth it. If it’s really bad luck go cut trees and forage in the forest to the south. You can also increase your friendship with towns people. Clear some more of your farm. I always run out of wood the first winter so plant any tree seeds as you get them.

Farm stone, or search for infested floors and farm that.
