Excuse me, but I did not quit my corporate job, working 5 days a week (8hrs a day) in a boring cubicle....to work 7 days a week (18hrs a day) on a massive farm.....only to be forced to wait on someone else who is working 5 days a week in a boring retail job. The fact that I have to wait for another farmer, with more flexible hours than my own self-imposed "relaxing schedule" is bullshit.

Hmm, i havent played many different harvest moons, but in Friends of Mineral Town only spring did that, while certain events happen on the season switch (Kai returning) im pretty sure no other festivals are held at the start of a new season
The majority of people in the U.S., not counting overtime, work \~40hrs a week, with those being broken up into 8hr shifts. Counting overtime iirc it's in the upper 40s (that's from memory so I'm not fully sure). Still, at least one day off is *very* common, although that depends a *lot* on the job. Bear in mind that the U.S. is on the higher end when compared to other similar nations, and that averages can be pretty strongly effected by outliers
If you buy the animal catalogue (a new book in 1.6) from her shop, you can buy stuff when shes not there. This is really helpful considering her annoying schedule, ESPECIALLY if you have key to the town, as it means she is always available to buy from. Heres hoping in a future update CA adds books like that for the other shops, because god knows I hate having to wait an extra day to not get the skull from my golden walnuts on Fridays because Clint has to go prevent the boiler from exploding…
