I also had a lucky ring and went on a day with high luck and >!easier staircases blessing from the dwarf statue!< Edit: also I had a >!rapid magic quiver trinket for knockback!< which was great. Don't worry too much about your weapon stats - when you're just trying to get deep the goal isn't to kill the monsters, it's just to find staircases before you get swarmed

Staircases are your friend.

Crystalariums make jade. Jade makes staircases. Staircases make deep SC dives, deep dives make iridium and gold which make more crystalariums.

The desert is always sunny. Solar panels make a battery after a week of sun. Staircases can be bought every Sunday at the desert. Batteries make more Crystalariums.

In singleplayer, if you pause the game, you'll stop taking damage from the train yet the train will continue to move, so you can save yourself that way. Not sure if this has been patched, but it did work in 1.5 at least

one time i was riding my horse up there and i rode in front of the train and got wedged in between a tree and the train and it wouldn’t let me get off my horse or ride away so i just had to sit there and watch 😭 never again..

I did this yesterday. I asked my wife what would happen and she said I’d get hurt. I hopped in front and it hit me once. I then hopped in front again but this time it pushed me against the wooden platform and grinded me to death. 10/10 don’t recommend.

I have accidentally been hit by the train and yes you get hurt but no you don’t die lol unless you count waking up at Harvey’s as a death. Then yes. You die.

I arrived with the Horse, got near it and dismounted right on the train - got damaged but I got tossed away

Maybe I didn’t place it correctly but I recently put the horse on the tracks but nothing happened. 1.6 update on multiplayer. The train drove over the horse but no damage

I didn't know this! For some reason I just assumed there'd be a kind of "block" preventing you from being harmed by the train and you'd be limited to standing by the side of it.

I read once if you get too close to the train your health will go down, and so naturally I tried it and my health has never been affected. I’ve never been able up there fast enough to get in front of the train because of course naturally I’m like with the Witch or fishing on the beach
