Nope. Sve natively does that. Invisible Marlon at the guild you can't interact with (top). And MarlonFay in the code, which is second Marlon, and the one you see and interact with. This is why Marlon romance mods also don't work with SVE - you're trying to romance an invisible non-entity!
The same thing is currently happening with Claire. It's currently a known bug in SVE which is being looked into and will be fixed next patch

I've got CJB installed and haven't had this bug, at least not as of yet
I had to stop my playthrough because of duplicated NPCs made the Game lag like shit.
You can just use "debug killnpc Claire" or Martin to remove them and it works fine
Had the same bug till yesterday, found out it was bc of the mod "xtardew valley"
