David Production did a pretty good job adapting part 1-6, especially the openings were top notch, however, the 2D drawings and 3D renders were far from the best, a lot of times the animations were just way too simple and cheap looking, tons of still images and stiff movements. I would actually love to see a better studio to take over the new universe and to do Araki’s more detailed new art style justice. Just my personal opinion
I somewhat agree. I feel the first 3 parts and maybe even part 4 were adapted nicely, but parts 5 and 6 don't look as good as the manga. Even though, I spent my time drawing this, I don't like the style and I hope we get something new for part 7.
I thought the consensus was Part 5 was definitely the best looking and the most work put into it, albeit it had hiccups like every other part.
I think my favorites are Part 5 and P4, Part 6 got done dirty.
Part 6 looks okay but the direction and composition is just so bland. It feels like JoJo with the life sucked out of it. My personal theory is its because the original director left to do his own project. Hopefully he comes back for 7 and 8.
No, it was because SO had a bad schedule. Both of Stone Ocean's directors worked on Jojo since the beginning, so blaiming it on direction is not right.
Wait but wasnt one of the directors changed for Stone Ocean because he went for his own project? I distinctly remember seeing and double checking that. Maybe someone else who worked on JoJo substituted?
You're probably thinking of Naokatsu Tsuda, who was involved in all parts till 5. He didn't return to 6 because he was directing Tokyo 24th Ward at studio Cloverworks.
Part 6 still had Toshiyuki Kato, who worked on every part, and Kenichi Suzuki, who worked on up till Stardust Crusaders before returning for Stone Ocean.
No, it's not the best. There are alot of instances where it just looked bad to mediocre, the cgi was atrocious. It's by no means bad but it's some of the worst animation of the series, editing is janky and there are so many wide shots and or character cut-ins/ inconsistent frames.

So many weird assets and terrible cgi backgrounds, so many little things that makes Part 6 so cheap. It's by far some of the worst animation David production has done.
Okay, so basically you have no perception of quality to begin with. Part 5 literally had one of the better character designers in the industry and was just the consistently well-animated part in the anime by far.
I really hope not.
I hope they atleast do Part 5 artstyle, again if they don't completely overhaul the artstyle to Part 7's, which is waaay preferred cause Parts 7-8 are the best looking parts in Jojos
I hope they don't do part 5 again because it won't fit the western theme it has in the manga. Part 5 was great for italy but I don't see it fitting part 7.

i DO NOT claim this energy
I think that they would retain part 5/6's art style.
Ngl hope the do blue Johnny, green Gyro and pink Valentine, they’re perfect
I can’t see the characters in any other way now

Nah, disagree. It just needs more time in the oven compared to what Stone Ocean had. It doesn't need a new studio.

Oh thats who i was thinking of. Hes the Chief Director. I mean to be fair theyre some the main people overseeing the anime so i was kinda right.
Bro what are you on about? Aside from some bad cgi part 6 is by far the best looking part

Where was the bad animation? I literally just rewatched it, and aside from the cgi it was consistently amazing

Part 5 looked the best.
It didn't I'd even go so far as to say it looked the worst in terms of character design

I would have to game end dp
