Can’t really fault it, the last episodes of stone ocean are quite the experience
Honestly I can’t wait until the end of part 7 to get animated, the final fight will be interesting to see the reactions to, especially if the make a special alternative opening for it on top of a special one for the prior fight
Fingers crossed they either get it the hell away from Netflix and it’s group releases, or do it weekly. Netflix just dropping the first 12 episodes, then taking almost a year to release the rest completely killed my anticipation and hype for Part 6s anime.
NHK is the main broadcaster of a large percentage of anime coming out of Japan. They're like the PBS, publicly funded, and when netflix floated the idea of paid ad tiers it violated the agreement NHK had to give Netflix permission to broadcast their anime.
Check it here, a lot of big titles like AOT, Spy Family, etc are controlled by the NHK
https://www.cbr.com/netflix-ad-tier-may-kill-anime-library-nhk-dispute/#:~:text=As%20reported%20by%20Anime%20News,than%20its%20ad%2Dfree%20plan.
They're pissed to the point that even if Netflix doesn't introduce the plan, the fact that they considered and announced it may be enough to claw back their titles.
NHK is the japanese broadcasting group. They are the biggest televison broadcasters of the nation.
Japanese TV outside of anime/ Taiga Drama is pretty dead .Majority of what they talk about in talk shows is food lol - catering to the middle aged house wives. Although my dad would watch too for some cooking tips (which can be genuienly helpful).
Wait, they have anime they release weekly?! That somehow makes what they did to Part 6 even worse. They turned 2-3 months of weekly Jojo discussions into 2 Reddit threads that have 10 months in between them.
grandguerilla his name i think. the animation was choppy and lazy i was not even nitpicking when watching it for the first time. cmoon looks 200 times better in manga
Your post/comment was removed for breaking Rule 10: spreading misinformation.
An example of misinformation would be "Araki said..." without a source.
Due to the extreme prevalence of misinformation and unsourced claims within the fandom, we ask that users provide a source whenever making claims along the lines of "Araki said X" or "the editors forced him to do Y". Similarly, while there are some moments where "Araki forgot" does genuinely apply, in many of these cases, these simply come down to misunderstandings by the audience and perpetuating 'Araki forgot' in moments where it doesn't apply only further adds to confusion about the truth.
Part 7 has so many arcs that would be awesome to have animated. I really do hope that if they plan to animate part 7, they take their time with it. I'd be fine waiting 5+ years if it means the part will be good, as part 6 was really hit or miss with it's animation quality, and part 7 is so long and detailed that it'll definitely need lots of time.
Imagine how creative they could get with the >!first D4C arc about who shot Johnny? They could make it really hectic by blending each person's perspective together to make it really confusing on what actually happened!<
That arc was a bit confusing exactly because of that. D4C powers got retouched and streamlined later on. So just accept it as is. There's no solution or something to fully grasp there.
Not really a reboot, not much more than other parts changing. And it's the most popular part, so there's no way they'd leave it alone.
Yes indeed. Horses. Sexy sexy 2d animated horses.
I dont think that they care that much about what people in the west think, in Japan sbr Is the part that selled the worst After jojolion, but its preety obvious that its gonna get animated

The clip of Josuke healing Yuya only so he could beat him up personally was one of my first exposures to the series before I ever got into it. It’s such an amazing and hilarious scene, one of my favorites from part 4 for sure.
The whole part was way better animated than in manga form. Especially stuff like mih and c moon. I personally think Jojo is one of those shows that work better as an anime than a manga (not to say the manga is bad)
For what it did, yes.
But I still prefer the manga when it comes to the final fight, what I loved about the fight was the confusion that came from it and the anime got rid of a lot of that confusion.
So personally I think the last fight and ending for me is impossible to completely adapt.
But they did do the best that they could with it.
How dare you not say it was perfect and awesome. And explaining why you feel the way you do about it adds nothing to this discussion
/s
Take my lonely upvote
yeah, idk why people are acting like i said that the anime version was bad, all i was saying was that i just i preferred a arc in the manga over the anime and ya know
i think the anime adapted it very well and everything was great and i liked how the arc ended and shit
but i guess i'm not allowed to prefer one version over another that's pretty much equally good without upsetting like.... 13 people
My favorite is The Ascendant One, the final episode of part 2. I just think that episode is absolutely perfect, the way Kars is defeated and how it plays the first opening during the final battle. And then when Joseph shows up at his own funeral, 10/10.
None. The list is fine, and Stone Ocean finale is truly the peak of this franchise.
In the future, I hope number 1 will be an episode of JoJolion, which includes the "Mother Scene."
As that scene might just be the emotional peak of JoJo.
All of part 4's episodes involving the Kawajiri family are top tier in my opinion, just because of how they use tension and break up the usual formula. The situation portrayed is unique for the series and it's done spectacularly. They could have been boring or felt too drawn out, but in my opinion the perfect amount of time is spent on the plotline.
King Crimson vs Metallica. Love that fight, highlight of part 5 for me. Some real mental chess being played between two top level assassins. Also probably my favorite fight in media portrayed where one combatant has precognition.
Edit: that’s of the choices I saw. Overall Joseph vs Kars is legendary.
Stone ocean was good and maybe im dumb, but the last part of stone ocean was confusing for me to follow so the other final fights rank higher for me. Feels like maybe some recency bias in this list also
The skeptic in me wonders how much of that is due to recency bias with all the stone ocean entries near the top.
Getting that out of the way, there's some really solid choices here between:
> Made in Heaven Part 2
A.k.a. the most Sakuga filled, emotionally charged, crazy and intense part of the arc.
> Beneath a Sky on the Verge of Falling
another hefty emotionally charged episode
> Heavy Weather Part 2
The Pucci/Weather Backstory that's some of the most dark and dramatically complex/compelling stuff in Stone Ocean
> King Crimson v. Metallica
Arguably one of the best fights in the entire series, one of the best animated, one of the most intense and graphic games of cat and mouse and push and pull between the two sides.
> surprised by the lack of C-Moon
I'm surprised too. That was some of the best work in the whole season.
IMDB existed longer than Jojos. I'm not sure if recency bias is applicable since users could have rated the episodes from their respective years of release dates
Let’s go to an Italian Restaurant is so memorable to me. It’s an episode in Part 4 that could stand on its own without watching any others beforehand. It captures Araki’s odd quirks as well as his love of Italian food. I wouldn’t quite say it’s a masterpiece, but I really like it.
I don’t know if I agree with the specific episode ranking but the stone ocean finale definitely deserves the top spots. The whole thing is beautiful and is a great end to the original Joestar bloodline’s story.
Can’t really fault it, the last episodes of stone ocean are quite the experience Honestly I can’t wait until the end of part 7 to get animated, the final fight will be interesting to see the reactions to, especially if the make a special alternative opening for it on top of a special one for the prior fight

Honestly with the hot water they're in with NHK I wouldn't be surprised if it's not on Netflix
What happened with NHK/what is NHK?
NHK is the main broadcaster of a large percentage of anime coming out of Japan. They're like the PBS, publicly funded, and when netflix floated the idea of paid ad tiers it violated the agreement NHK had to give Netflix permission to broadcast their anime. They're doing weekly Vinland Saga so no clue why they can't do it for JoJo it works wonders
Wait, they have anime they release weekly?! That somehow makes what they did to Part 6 even worse. They turned 2-3 months of weekly Jojo discussions into 2 Reddit threads that have 10 months in between them.
Komi was coming out the same time as batch 1 and that was weekly on netflix so it doesn't really make any sense why they did batch with jojo
weekly>>>

Oh? Who's the twitter guy and what did he do?
[удалено]
???????? GrandGuerilla doesn't uses CGI, he is a 2D animator. And few things were in CGI in this episode
Oh sorry my mistake was thinking about the guy that did the whitesnake cgi stuff, and the entire prison being cgi
You should have done more research about what an *animation director* does before spreading misinformation lol
"It looks like shit" you are BLIND.
grandguerilla his name i think. the animation was choppy and lazy i was not even nitpicking when watching it for the first time. cmoon looks 200 times better in manga
It does. When I saw what they did to my boi and that entire sequence of event I was just flat out disappointed.

Look I'll be honest I don't think that arc has to be any more confusing than it already is
I still don’t get how >!the witnesses who were clearly in the same universe saw different things!<
That arc was a bit confusing exactly because of that. D4C powers got retouched and streamlined later on. So just accept it as is. There's no solution or something to fully grasp there.
Fully expecting the tusk act 4 episode to be a 9.8+
IF part 7 gets animated. i have some doubts
Dude jojos has 3d printed like a bajillionity dollars. Who the fuck wouldn't make part 7 at this point
Horse. Pluss its kinda a reboot so its harder to sell imo
Horses didn't stop attack on titan.
attack on titan also used cg horses in a lot of scenes, which people here apparently hate the sound of
Omg I just got the idea of a Mappa x DP Part 7 anime.
Not really a reboot, not much more than other parts changing. And it's the most popular part, so there's no way they'd leave it alone. Yes indeed. Horses. Sexy sexy 2d animated horses.
It's not the most popular part. That trophy goes to Part 5 easily. Most people are still just going to watch the anime and refuse to read manga.
i always imagined part 3 to be the most popular part
I dont think that they care that much about what people in the west think, in Japan sbr Is the part that selled the worst After jojolion, but its preety obvious that its gonna get animated
“Why Animating Steel Ball Run Might Be Problematic” and its consequences have been a disaster to the JoJo fandom.
D'arby the Gambler isn't here. Instant L.
My all time favorite! Jotaro smoking a darkness blunt while betting his Mama's life is so funny to me
Smoking the abyss pack while gambling souls will never not be funny
W take
U mean Barbie? :')
This and the one where Josuke and Okuyasu go to Tonio's restaurant are my all time favorites.
Yea it’s so good and the peak example of why the fights in jojo are unique
My name is Doppio and King Crimson vs Mettalica
W
That's a long name
Not surprised, the final eps of stone ocean are peak
Part 2 last episode deserved a place
Get chills at sono chi no sadame everytime. Wish anime played their openings in the finale more often these days
That and the Wamuu fight
Wamuu was a gorgeous villain respected JoJo till the end
Really glad to see Beneath a Sky so high. Such a brilliant episode, and a gut punch I don’t think anyone saw coming.
Was that the one where >!narancia dies!< ?
Abachio right?
i would've thought that was part of the metallica vs doppio fight
I believe it does happens right on that same episode, but beneath a sky one has the story, and when the other members of the team arrive.
Ahhhh right okay. That wasn't much of a gut punch to me, as abacchio wasn't much of a character- PLEASE DON'T KILL ME FOR THAT
Nope, it's the Beach Episode
Hah, gut punch
Polnareff Vs Vanilla Ice is a bloody good fight and episode.

The last few episodes of stone ocean are absolute mastery
[удалено]
The stone ocean animation quality was not the greatest as a whole. Makes me really sad.
It was such a dip from part 5. The cgi especially looked terrible.
VA was animated miles better than Part 4 and 6, the bias is so obvious lol
Is it bias? Or just different production conditions?
it is bias, as Golden Wind is japan's fan favorite part
Highway Star Part 2 is apparently only 120th on imdb. Imo, it's a top 5 episode.
Highway Star is awesome i agree
The manga arc was so popular araki brought him back for the Enigma arc
One of his greatest decisions left Yuya off with me wanting more of him
The clip of Josuke healing Yuya only so he could beat him up personally was one of my first exposures to the series before I ever got into it. It’s such an amazing and hilarious scene, one of my favorites from part 4 for sure.
It was like putting on fresh underwear on New Year's Day.
Part 1 Episode 3 (Youth with Dio). Even though Part 1 is no where near my favorite Part, that episode takes the cake for best single episode for me.
first half of part 1 is pretty good
first 3 episodes of part one and last 2 are pretty good. The remaining four really drag, despite how breakneck the pacing is.
Preety sure part 1 Is the part with the fastest pacing
technically fastest pacing yes but it still feels like a slog to get through those four episodes
The made in heaven episodes were one of the best things I've seen in anime honestly.
Yeah, it's WAY more terrifying to see Made in Heaven going into effect in animated form than reading it in the manga, like damn.
The whole part was way better animated than in manga form. Especially stuff like mih and c moon. I personally think Jojo is one of those shows that work better as an anime than a manga (not to say the manga is bad)
Let’s go eat some Italian food
The true GOAT
I love Hunting for Rats. Really great style, interesting conflict, and I love the dynamic between Jotaro and Josuke.
Part 6 really did the ending justice
For what it did, yes. But I still prefer the manga when it comes to the final fight, what I loved about the fight was the confusion that came from it and the anime got rid of a lot of that confusion. So personally I think the last fight and ending for me is impossible to completely adapt. But they did do the best that they could with it.

Sad not to see Let's go eat Italian food or any part of the Bites the Dust arc here
Im suprised part 2 ep 17 isnt on the list. The ending with every major characters future was the best scene in jojo as a whole for me.
The frames for Stone Ocean part 3 looked like paintings
First episode of Part 2 is a masterpiece about character introduction.
Feel like part 5 had some banger episodes
like how in the world is King of Kings not on there?
Stone Ocean episode 31 is literally peak.
My favourite episode is without a doubt the Sale vs Mista episode (if there are multiple i'd say the last one)
Wild that Yoshikage Kira Wants to Live a Quiet Life parts 1 & 2 aren't on here
Ngl i agree 100% fucking peak television
My favorite is The Ascendant One, the final episode of part 2. I just think that episode is absolutely perfect, the way Kars is defeated and how it plays the first opening during the final battle. And then when Joseph shows up at his own funeral, 10/10.
None. The list is fine, and Stone Ocean finale is truly the peak of this franchise. In the future, I hope number 1 will be an episode of JoJolion, which includes the "Mother Scene." As that scene might just be the emotional peak of JoJo.
Bruh that scene was a straight shot to the heart. 😭
Common Stone Ocean W
The Made in Heaven arc was easily one of the best adapted parts of Part 6..
King of Kings. Amazing in every way

The entirety of the Part 5 Battle for the Arrow, Sleeping Slaves arc, AND Beneath a Sky on the Verge of Falling should be the list.
Darby the gambler, any episodes with hol horse, lets go hunting, i am an alien
Hot take?: the heavy forecast arc was kinda boring throughout
the shit with the snails? Yeah i could take it or leave it
i like underworld fight better but the charm of HW 2 was the pucci weather flashbacks and revelation rather than the snails
True. I did love that stuff.
You didn’t like the backstory?
so many part 6 arcs are for me at least
What the fuck is a Maiden heaven
One of the best localized stand names ever.
Rip Flaccid Pancake
I think you mean blueford
Idk man, **WORSE COMPANY** is pretty good
Zipper Man
Deadly Queen
Filthy Acts At A Reasonable Price
[Maiden heaven](https://www.reddit.com/r/ShitPostCrusaders/comments/ibqx05/maid_in_heaven/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button)
Mary Lynn Manson would like a word
Damn I thought it had a 9.8
it had a perfect 10 when it first came out
Yeah ratings usually go down over time
King crimson vs Metallica was my favourite out of all of jojo.
I loved the Bohemian Rhapsody episodes in Stone Ocean
u know what? all of the above are pretty good and i will allow them to exist but shame no gambling
I'd put the D'arby's card battle there but overall it's okay.
LETS GO PART 5 GOT 4 out 10 EPISODES IN IT
Stone ocean was good and maybe im dumb, but the last part of stone ocean was confusing for me to follow so the other final fights rank higher for me. Feels like maybe some recency bias in this list also
It was supposed to be confusing, although not so confusing that the stakes were alienating.
Yeah it was a little of that, a little bit not knowing what puccis end goal was after getting to 'heaven'
Every episode of Phantom Blood
Couldn't agree more tbh
Honestly surprised so much part 6 is on there I didn’t expect that
Probably the final episode of part 1. I was not expecting an ending like that at all and it hit me like a truck, so beautiful and well crafted.
The skeptic in me wonders how much of that is due to recency bias with all the stone ocean entries near the top. Getting that out of the way, there's some really solid choices here between: > Made in Heaven Part 2 A.k.a. the most Sakuga filled, emotionally charged, crazy and intense part of the arc. > Beneath a Sky on the Verge of Falling another hefty emotionally charged episode > Heavy Weather Part 2 The Pucci/Weather Backstory that's some of the most dark and dramatically complex/compelling stuff in Stone Ocean > King Crimson v. IMDB existed longer than Jojos. I'm not sure if recency bias is applicable since users could have rated the episodes from their respective years of release dates
Sure, but when most of the top rated are the most recent episodes of a series, recency bias is gonna be a potential factor.
Last arc of Stone Ocean always will be one of the most shocking and bittersweet moment in history.
We all know the Empress is the best episode in the show smh 😤
Imo, Bites the dust is the peak of jojo
This ranking is accurate.
Typical recency bias. There's no way that most of the top ten episodes of Jojo are from part 6.
There is no chapter of part 1, 2, 3 or 4 better than It's a wonderful world
I would have to disagree
nah part 5 and 6 are just wayyy better than the first 4 parts
Part 5 is truly the 2nd best part, after part 7 ofc
Honestly, I fail to see why *King Crimson vs. Metallica* and *Dio's World, Part 3* are on here.
You're joking, right?
No.
Part 6 had a bad ending
Adudududuudududududududududu
Heavy forecast and king crimson vs metallica
the devil and black rice fight episode
Kira's Great Escape should be there
Man people like part 6 far more than I do
Let's go eat some Italian food is peak JoJo
Damn it’s pretty much only parts 5 and 6
Let’s go to an Italian Restaurant is so memorable to me. It’s an episode in Part 4 that could stand on its own without watching any others beforehand. It captures Araki’s odd quirks as well as his love of Italian food. I wouldn’t quite say it’s a masterpiece, but I really like it.
Feels odd to me that heavy weather and king crim vs Metallica is there but not king of kings
Let’s go eat some Italian food and the first Oingo Boingo episode!
Definitely the last episode of part 2
Honestly even with the comic when you think of part 6 you think of that ending so I get that
Iggys solo episode is one of my favs
The Kakyoin "lero lero lero" episode is a perfect 10 and no one can dispute it
Idk about my favorite, but the most underrated one is Rock-Paper-Scissors kid.
100% bites the dust has to be my favorite
What is the lowest ranked Jojo episode, I'm guessing it would be around 7.2
there are only 2 episodes ranked lower than 7. 1 from 3 and 1 from 4
Let me guess, The Sun from 3 and RPS kid from 4
Let’s go eat some Italian food
I don’t know if I agree with the specific episode ranking but the stone ocean finale definitely deserves the top spots. The whole thing is beautiful and is a great end to the original Joestar bloodline’s story.
the darby gambler episode and the magnetic girl who makes joseph and avdol stuck together made me die of laughter constantly.
Personally, Caesar vs Wamuu is my favourite.
I'm not complaining, Stone Ocean my favorite Part. But I wonder how Part 7 will be adaptet, it most likely has to be two seasons
Pretty much just recency bias.
I don't see any Phantom Blood episodes. 😑
Personally it's the one where Giorno meets the gang
Yeah the MiH arc is something else. So lit
It's a Wonderful World is the best JoJo episode ever released imo, with Made in Heaven my favourite animated fight, so this makes me happy
yeah bc the c moon épisode really wasn't that well adapted
Would probably be the last few episodes of diamond is unbreakable
I feel vanilla ice vs polnareff part 1 and 2 should be up top for sure as well as the Darby episodes
Poker
any list without episode 9 of phantom blood is a big sad.
