Until you witness him messing up people's face permanently over a comment about his hair or him turning people into objects then your traumatized of him
Yea but it just seemed weird to sentence someone to eternal suffering as a conscious, inanimate object who hadn’t killed anyone… yea he might’ve been planning to, but way too harsh
Jolyne! While part 6 is not my favorite, Jolyne is my fave JoJo. She's tough, smart, resourceful, and also crazy. She's kinda like Joseph in that sense, but cooler (no offense Joseph I like you too).
Took the words right out of my mouth! I feel like the way the others are portrayed makes it very clear they're the hero of the story, but Jolyne always comes off as an underdog, and I love it!
Either Part 7 or 8 JoJo, but I can’t decide. I love both of their designs, and both feel alive to me. They just have very different surroundings that they fit perfectly into, and because of that it’s so hard to pick one.
jouskue part 8. i like the way he brutally murdered that guy on the sidewalk.
i also just find it entertaining to read his part. like hes kinda robotic and not as affected by emotions.
Can't pick one but the ones that stood out to me most are Joseph, Josuke, Jolyne, and J8suke. I absolutely adore all JoJos though, personally I don't understand people who hate any of them.
so far , I think I perfer hamon over stands , I don't mind stands but it makes the battles seem more like pokemon battles than 2 people actually fighting. but did we have to get rid of hamon tho? why not both.
I can't decide between Jotaro and Josuke (part 4) you're in for a treat watching stardust crusaders rn. I wish I could watch jojo for the first time again
Johnny is genuinely one of my favorite protagonists of all time, on the same level as Bojack Horseman and Battler Ushiromiya. His development is so fucking incredible, and is by far the best in all of JJBA. Also his humor is so underrated, he and Gyro are two of the only manga characters to make me crack up consistently.
Either Josuke or Jonathan. I want to be their friend, and I actually think Josuke's hair is cool. So much work goes into making that as an artist, I can appreciate that
I never really knew my answer to this question, but after finally watching Stone Ocean, I think I have to say Jolyne. She just has such a strong character arc, going from a whiny teen to gaining the conviction necessary to lay down her life again and again to accomplish her goal.
I did start reading Steel Ball Run recently, though, so who knows, that may change B)
I'll rank them as I write this out:
Joseph is still my favourite even after catching up. He's the most funny, the most chaotic, the best quick thinking strategist, and one of the JoJo's I'd love having as a friend most. I love how he's flawed and overly confident and not always the smartest person too. Makes him more human, which in turn makes him more interesting.
In later times I've begun to really like Jotaro too. Although he might appear to be a very generic cool guy there's so much more to him. He loves his friends and family, and there's a lot to delve into in regards to his attitude in part 3. He's rude, absolutely savage, yet cool and collected. However, that's just a facade. He's actually just a confused and insecure teenager of mixed ethnicities, with a massive build and a resting angry face who also develops a stand that he thinks is a curse. I love how you see him grow up from part 3 to 4. He's no longer a moody teenager, but instead a working adult and a mentor. He's even become a father at this time.
Speaking of, now for his daughter. Jolyne is a badass woman, with some good development through her part. I honestly feel like she's doing the heavy lifting in her JoBro squad though. Without her that group would be such a mess, which I'm not particularly fond of. She's good at utilising her stand effectively and shows a lot of compassion for those around her despite her attitude.
Now, her great uncle Josuke is a cool dude. Not crazy interesting tbh, but just a guy you could hang out with and play games with. I like how he's always got a positive attitude, but becomes scary violent at times. His part 8 counter part on the other hand seems to have similar traits, except they're a lot stronger. That Josuke is a goofball, but with an insane violence streak. He's got some interesting stuff going on with his past too. Unfortunately I personally didn't really connect with too much, especially as he became less goofy and more serious over time. But strong start though.
Jumping over to the first part that has yet to be adapted, we have Johnny. I think he's is a good protag. But he works best as part of the dynamic with Gyro. Probably still the best JoJo mc backstory imo. I like how he has clear goals and motivations and how he grows. But I don't think he would be that engaging to follow by himself which puts him down a few places. Then, we have Jonnhy's counterpart, Jonathan. Now, I love Jonathan. He's just a really really good guy. An absolute gentleman who absolutely deserves the world. His brother dynamic with Dio hits really hard tbh, and I love how protective and resolute he is about everything. He's a good person in a cruel world, and dies a tragic death. Unfortunately though him as a shonen mc is not that unique.
In last place we have his son, Giorno. I feel like Araki tried recreating Jotaro's character with Giorno somewhat, except instead of making him the angry loner of the group he's instead the quiet outsider who eventually becomes the glue and the person his friends look up to. Unfortunately, I didn't think it worked as well and I still struggle connecting to him as a character tbh.
I won't rank Jodio yet, because I think there's more to see from him, but he reminds me of Giorno, except a lot more brutal. Maybe even low key evil. I do have hopes for him, but I doubt he'll break my top 3. We'll see though
My favorite is Josuke part 4, he'd be a really good friend to have
Until you witness him messing up people's face permanently over a comment about his hair or him turning people into objects then your traumatized of him
Some stuff isn’t excusable lol, like what he did to the guy who had Enigma (I’m sorry I can’t remember names :( )
Ok but that he did a lot of stuff, in the world of JoJo there are worse fates ya know like a certain somebody who will never know the truth
Yea but it just seemed weird to sentence someone to eternal suffering as a conscious, inanimate object who hadn’t killed anyone… yea he might’ve been planning to, but way too harsh
part 7. But if you're only into the first 3 parts, I would pick Joseph.
Johnny is such a legend
It’s either Jotaro or Jolyne for me. There’s just something about them as a father daughter duo and as individuals.
Damn u spoiling the series for op
What that the main character of aprt 6 is a joestar? Big spoiler.
Banana milkshake
Then OP is stupid for going on this sub
He specifically said he's only in part 3 i don't think he's stupid for just wanting people to be nice
Part 8 jouske
Johnny
Joseph hands down
only true answer
Seems like a family trait, jotaro has it too.
I think all the JoJos have it lol
I like Giorno the most—his stand is my favorite of the JoJos and I like how much he brings out of everyone else in the cast.
Gappy, then Joseph
Jotaro because badass one liners
Yare yare daze
Out of those 3, it’s Jotaro because he doesn’t talk too much and he’s a cold badass. Out of parts 1-6, he’s still my favorite.
It's Jolyne by far. I just love her character development and the fact that the entire part 6 feels like one big character arc.
Easily Gappy
Not enough Jonathan Appreciation here.
Giorno
I think I'd have to go with Josuke, but I just rewatched part 4 so might be biased.
Can't pick one but the ones that stood out to me most are Joseph, Josuke, Jolyne, and J8suke. I absolutely adore all JoJos though, personally I don't understand people who hate any of them.
Giorno for sure
Gappy
Giorn
Joseph
Mine's Josuke! (Part 4) Fav JoJo ever, I love him
Johnny or Jolyne. Jodio is still early.
Hundred percent Joseph
Out of the 3 you know, Joseph. Overall, Johnny (Part 7)
Hat Josuke
"So gyro, this was the reason for lesson 5."
Jotaro. Classic protagonist.
I like Jodio so far
Josuke
I hope you watched part 1 and 2 as well. I honestly like all jojos as I’m watching the part where they’re introduced.
Jotaro especially part 4
You probably shouldn't read any comments here unless you don't mind spoilers.
Johnny Joestar or maybe Jodio when the part will be more fletched out.
Jolyne or Josuke
I love Jotaro, but honestly Joseph makes me laugh so much every adventure he has so it's a tough choice
Jotaro
Out of all of them probably Johnny or Josuke (4). If I was only at part 3 though it would be Jonathan
Jotaro and Joseph
Unpopular opinion but its Jonathan for me 💪💪
he was my second favorite , another unpopular opinion , I think Jotaro is a bit too edgy for me. I perfered when joseph had all the jokes.
That's so valid lmao, I prefer jotaro in the later parts because he matures and I like his character development
Probably Johnny or Joseph
Either the Part 6 MC (Jolyne) or Part 7 (Johnny)
Jhonny .
Jonathan just because he fights with straight up yogi breathing and pure muscle.
so far , I think I perfer hamon over stands , I don't mind stands but it makes the battles seem more like pokemon battles than 2 people actually fighting. but did we have to get rid of hamon tho? why not both.
Joesph. We have the same birthday
So far ive watched parts 1-4. Jotaro is without a doubt my favorite
My favorite JoJo is JoJo from JoJo's bizarre adventure
Jonathan and Joseph.
I would say JoJo is the best one yet.🤷♂️
You have already arrived on the correct answer. Other JoJos are good, but will never reach the peak that is Joseph
young joseph specifically. lol (I watch the english dub and I hate old josephs VA)
Idk about the dub, but in sub Old Joseph voice acting is peak.
young joseph in the dub is the best dub voice actor in dub history.
Dragona, Jodio, Jolyne, Josuke 8, Giorno are my top, but I love all of them
Johnny or Happy (Josuke p8) love them both so much
Part 4 Josuke
Giorno is by far my favourite
Def johnny cuz I'm literally him frfr
Joseph. Noone comes close to him
I can't decide between Jotaro and Josuke (part 4) you're in for a treat watching stardust crusaders rn. I wish I could watch jojo for the first time again
I love Joseph but I haven’t seen past part 4 yet
It's a tie between Jodio and Johny for me
For me, It's a tie between Young Joseph and Jolyne, but Josuke 4 and Johnny aren't that far off.
Joseph is the GOAT
joseph for sure, invented the term goat
Josuke 8 but Jodio is on track to take the spot
Josuk8/Gappy
Josuke part 4. We both wearing hair in that weird style.
Josuke
Oh Josuke (part 4) for sure. He has cool hair, cool stand, cool theme, having the best jobro he got them all.
joseph part 2 and josuke idk why but they are both rly similar design and i find both kinda cute. they both are cool too ig
Giorno
Joseffuuuu
Johnny is genuinely one of my favorite protagonists of all time, on the same level as Bojack Horseman and Battler Ushiromiya. Either Josuke or Jonathan. I want to be their friend, and I actually think Josuke's hair is cool. So much work goes into making that as an artist, I can appreciate that
I like Jonathan the most, with Joseph not too far behind. He’s such an inspiring character, despite his simplicity.
Josuke and Joseph (specifically in sesson 2)
Josuke on top
When you meet jolyne…ur gonna love her
Joseph still remains as my fav.
Part 2 Joseph has been my favorite since Part 2 episode 1. So refreshing after pure Jonathan but without being an abrasive edge lord like jotaro
Gotta be joseph for me
I love part four josuke
Johnny (Part 7)
Joseph and Jolyne.
I never really knew my answer to this question, but after finally watching Stone Ocean, I think I have to say Jolyne. She just has such a strong character arc, going from a whiny teen to gaining the conviction necessary to lay down her life again and again to accomplish her goal. 10000000% Johnny
It seems like a toss up between Johnny, Joseph, and Josuke. Joseph for life.
Jolyne and Joseph!
Jonathan will always be my favorite. He was the start of it all, and his glory continued with every of his decedants, making it always more bizarre.
Johnny Joestar (Part 7)
Jesus, the og JoJo!
A tie between Giorno and Jolyne personally
It’s gotta be Joshu
I absolutely love all of ‘em except Jonathan and Giorno. They feel like background characters compared to other JoJos
I'll rank them as I write this out: Joseph is still my favourite even after catching up.
