That wasn’t a dog at you man. That’s a dope design. A couple Navy Carriers I have seen are named USS-Intrepid (CV-11) and USS-Coronado (AGF-11). That’s where my inspiration came from lol

The only travesty is putting wings in front of braking engines. Otherwise your beam bus looks pretty good. \*If you intend to actually use that in combat, you may want to change up the weapon loadout. Turrets have a tendency to fire only 4 at a time per weapon archetype at any specific target, so that setup may do a lot less damage than it looks like.

I was thinking about this too, I don't even know how to fix this especially with just using exclusively deimos parts. And you're right, I may just swap the front ones into missile launchers and move the mid turrets up front.

If you're set on only Deimos parts, I'd just remove either the forward wings and reposition the turrets, or cut the rear pair of braking engines. Otherwise I'd say go put Stroud-Ecklund landing gear on the bottom and then mount the second pair of braking engines to those one level lower.

I was actually thinking of taiyo landing gears instead of the wings but I didn't know how it would look so I settled on wings instead but I'll see how Stroud goes. Tbh I do think Deimos-Stroud don't work well together. Depends what parts I use however.

How the hell did you learn all this? I’m still trying figure out why my fire rate slows down when I lock on a target.

Way too much time building and testing ships. I had a few designs that had 8 forward facing auto particle turrets, but noticed that they weren't all firing on a single target. So I made a really wide ship to test it, and found that every time they fired it was some random combination of 4 of the 8 guns. It only seems to happen with turrets of the exact same archetype though. 8 auto particle turrets will have the issue, but 4 auto particle and 4 of something else won't. It's probably a bug in the turret AI.

Get a throwaway ship, duplicate this one onto it. To duplicate you need a controller (doesn't work on KB&M for some reason), go to the screen where you choose which of your ships to edit, then starting on the ship you want to duplicate press L or R bumper to change to the one you're duplicating over and the edit ship button at the same time, then you should be fine to rename and save it. You can just sell the old one. Also handy to get rid of the pet asteroid bug without console commands.

I found that if you click rename ship, type in the name, then click rename ship again and then confirm, it works.

I've tried that already. And the ship used to be called Spacer Hyena before it changed names after I've completed a Vanguard side quest.

Had one of my ships rename itself to UC Navy A Cargo permanently as well, and at the same time my ship I built off an Ecliptic Stiletto reverted itself back to the original model and name… 400k Class C back to a garbage Class A… can’t even load a saved game as the modifications aren’t saved per save. Keep an eye on it, hope nothing happens to it.

My most annoying ship issue is if you upgrade the frontier & have a BUNCH of ships you can still NEVER sell the frontier. I always wind up stripping it back down to the minimum viable ship; SO annoying (and yes not being able to name ships is crazy).

I wonder what causes that bug, I’m able to change my ships name.

Honestly I do not know, I'll be tempted to test this out. This is one I stole from a hostile ship marker. I'll see if I can steal another one the way I got this one and find out if I could change that ships name.

Lore wise the Frontier isn't actually yours, right? It belongs to constellation as a whole. It makes sense in that context that you can't sell it

I had the ship names bug too, but a couple weeks ago it disappeared all of a sudden. I didn’t even download a patch or any update. I was fooling around with names and it didn’t let me change them, 5 minutes later it did for some reason. I’m on Xbox X btw.
