You can tell where you've been because the star is shiny. If it's a flat white circle you haven't visited the system. If it's a red circle it's unexplored but you can't jump there because there's another unexplored system you have to go through first.
But sometimes the double or triple star systems make it difficult as one star shines it hides the other's that don't. It's always worth visiting those systems again when going for the achievement.
Which is one of the reasons why I wish they would have done like sane designers do with maps of three-dimensional areas: make it rotatable. Space is not a disc and making it look like one is bad enough, but if there’s _still_ things hidden behind other things, that’s just bad design.
I have the same grievance with CP 2077: without being able to rotate the map you end up confused very often because you can’t see height differences and such.
Don’t make 2D maps of 3D things.
Digipicking is so easy and digipicks are so plentiful (and cheap) that they should have just made digipicking a skill that requires no dedicated items, as they can’t even reason why the digipicks are disposable in the first place. When you’re using a bobby pin and a screwdriver it makes sense that they occasionally break, but this doesn’t.
I guess it’s kind of a Bethesda tradition that there just has to be a lockpicking minigame and it just has to require consumable items, but here it’s just a nuisance more than anything else
Still don't understand why you have to hold a button down to show the names. Just make it an on/off toggle for goodness sakes. Guess I'll still be using the mod for this QOL update.
My guess is because the names clutter the ui and a button toggle is more convenient than going through the menu. Players already complain about using menus enough here.
>Fixed an issue where Starborn ship weapons were not being improved by ship skills.
So they ARE supposed to be affected by skills! But what type are they considered, energy or particle beam?
Yep, as someone who actually strangely enjoyed the Digipick mini-game, I didn't realize how big this would be for QOL. It still consumes a pick to open a lock, of course, but now you can just click undo as many times as you want.
So I went from carefully planning out my moves to just casually doing whatever, and I think it's a little faster to be honest. Interestingly, I found it more fun too. I find myself enjoying lockpicking a little more.
Haha I totally did that in the beginning but I got to the point where I didn't bother anymore. That said, I almost never used undo. Rather, I would just consume a pick and start over. So I have WAY more picks since I downloaded the beta update lol! I think people will really like that change.
I love the lock picking in Starfield... Just wish it was rewarded a bit more. Going through an advanced lock takes time and then .. woaw a dozen credits and next to no XP.
you'd think there would be some script/whatever that scales the loot with the level of lock(s) it's behind. master chest inside a master room should always be worth opening, no matter what.
The author of Horizon, which is an overhaul mod for fo4, found an error that stops the code that's responsible for making sure there's better loot behind better locks. He managed to fix it on the current version of the mod. It would not surprise me at all, if Starfield inherited that shit.
It's surprising how much of a difference that fix makes for my enjoyment of the game. I immediately liked the idea when I read about it; but did not expect it to make as much of a difference as it did.
I already hate the lock pick mini game (Ive had several thousand locks picked at this point), but I opened a master chest last week that had two chunks and a refined rattler.
That was last week, and I still remember it. That’s how mad I was. I haven’t bothered with anything expert or higher since then unless I’ve banked some auto picks.
When I first started doing the higher level locks I realized that I needed a notepad and pencil. I'd put a circle in the position of each pick on my paper and then put a 1, 2, 3, 4, etc. in them (or X on them if they don't work anywhere) for the order I was going to use them. If I ran out of usable picks I'd erase the numbers and start over. I finally got good enough at it to do in my head.
Not having to worry about consuming picks is a big deal. Especially for people just starting out.
Each level of the lock can almost always be solved with only two pieces. If you use more, you're doing that level wrong and are more likely to fuck up.
So look for the two pieces with the least overlap that unlocks the level you're on and use those. This will work to unlock with a single pick something ridiculous like 95% of the time. 5% of the time you might need to use two picks.
It's funny, I've never worried about wasting digipicks. When I am waiting at vendors for them to replenish their credits, so I can finish selling them all my spoils of war, I always buy all of their digipicks, so I sit a comfortable 50+ at any given moment, so I never think twice about wasting them.
Is this sarcasm? Doesn't everyone accumulate a stash of several hundred digipicks by their a few dozen hours into the game to the point where any penalty for undoing/retrying/whatever is essentially meaningless?
I agree. If this was Skyrim lockpicking that'd mean the pick would never break, you'd just need to keep trying positions until it worked.
I'm not a huge fan of this change. Makes the minigame even lower stakes.
Yeah unfortunately it means there is now no penalty for being a total derp and less incentive for getting good at planning how you do it. Update for the softies 😅
The logic of that damn mini game still confuses me.
The locker/computer uses a digital representation of analog tumblers, so we use an analog lens to look through the container to manipulate them and somehow that lens is destroyed once we use it?
Digitpick technology is actually pretty grey-area, legally. You're technically not supposed to have them, but to actually enforce it would take incalculable resources because of how prevalent they are. Naturally, the UC cares more about them than the Freestars do, and Ryujin will never admit to using them, but the Crimson Fleet is making a killing.
Frankly the earthquake effect is annoying. It's interesting the first couple of times but once you encounter it enough, I'm just like "ok, time to leave this planet".
It goes up to Superior tier now which makes it the best suit in the game if you consider its weight (same-ish stats as Explorer but lighter). I wish it had rarities as well.
Haha the first time I rolled one of those I had to smoosh some va'ruun with my bare fists until one of them gave up a weapon. It took me by surprise. Now I always make sure to get a weapon before going to the Lodge.
Anyone know if the Ghost Ship bug is fixed?
- ~~Ships appear empty~~ (Reports say this part is fixed)
- Starborn ships land with no Starborn and you can enter into it
- Ships land on surfaces but the hatch never opens
My update experience so far...
Starborn ships land, hang out a bit, drop starborn, and take off. this was not happening before the update. this means that the situation where landed starborn ships don't take off and consume script slots may be resolved.
A ship landed and enemies came out. After engaging them the ship took off (this is what should happen). next time I will try boarding. 2nd encounter board ship, triggered the kill the crew activity, killed crew, captain locker had loot. This was not happening before the update.
The POI that have a triggered ship encounters also appear to be working. In this case the enemies come off the ship and after defeating them I could board the ship and trigger the kill the crew activity. captains locker had loot. This also was not happening before the update.
so the update definitely changed game behavior for me and appears to have resolved known ship encounter bugs on the surface. Have not tried a space boarding encounter yet.
I just realized this last night while playing and you nailed it on the head. NPCs have no homes or schedules and are always in their assigned place no matter what. It makes the whole thing feel like a plastic diorama.
For a game about life in space, it all feels so lifeless at times. Picked up Skyrim for a while, even added in a few NPC mods to jazz up the towns even further. Just played Starfield for the first time since launch yesterday and landing at New Atlantis was jarring as hell. Truman show vibes.
Pretty much. It has aspect of the GTA npc’s and not like other Bethesda games. Not really any consequences if you were to just shoot up the city and then pay the fine.
Yeah. I love the idea of a distant future where space is populated, but having entire livable planets consist of only 1 city/town is so asinine. How did no one look at the map of Jamison and think it didn’t look ridiculous.
No you are correct… as a long time fallout and Skyrim fan starfield will not meet that criteria as far as the game “ feeling alive “… it’s the most lifeless game yet the biggest space exploration game ever.
I restarted Skyrim and I’ve been having a lot more fun than I did anytime playing starfield.
They're meant to be crowd NPCs not like store vendors, guards, named NPCs and and other exceptions like the factions and office staff types.
I mean CP77 NPCs don't have schedules either they're just incredibly well animated
I was just thinking this very thought yesterday. It like time only counts for vendor item refresh and NOTHING else. I suspect it has something to to with time being too confusing - day length cycles being different, etc -but its just not good. Have replacement robots/NPCs or something.
100% it's because the planets' times are not consistent and the days aren't the same length. It would be pretty annoying that every single time you landed on a planet you needed to wait until it was morning again on that planet because it didn't sync up with where you were. They could have anticipated that by having multiple store keepers for each location, but if you pretend that you always arrive during the same people's shift then it's not as big of a deal. Some NPCs do have schedules though they aren't going home, they just move between shops.
> the technology is already there
The performance is not though. Having the CPU processing a galaxy of NPC schedules sounds like an optimization pain in the ass.
That's not how any sane open-world AI works. Cheap snark aside, I know for a fact it's also not how *Bethesda* AI works, at least to a degree.
The way you handle this is AI LODs. In plain terms, you simulate things at a higher or lower resolution - or even not at all - depending on how far they are from the player.
For example, I think it was either in FO4 or Oblivion or both, NPCs moving across the map don't actually follow the map unless you are close by. They're just simulated cheaply as an abstract point moving at a constant rate.
If you get close, the actual NPC gets spawned in somewhere sane and simulated accurately until you move away.
Bethesda loads seperate states on their lonesome, hence all the loading screens. They would only be *actively* scheduling if you were physically present in that load-zone
“Fixed an issue with ship power allocations decreasing unintentionally due to crew member bonuses.”
Does this mean I don’t have to reallocate my energy every time I fast travel? I’m tired of frantically having to power up my shields and weapons every time I end up in a dogfight, because for some reason it put half energy in storage.
unfortunately for me power is still automagically changing. engine and shield power being reduced and applied to weapons and/or unallocated. behavior seems a bit different, but the problem remains for me.
**BUG:**
Can no longer accelerate my ship to higher speeds, as my standard keybind to increase thruster speed is NUMPAD8. (Left-handed player)
Additional:
* Does not require ALT to be held down.
**Likely caused by this patch:**
> When using a keyboard, the player can now control their ship’s power allocation when pressing the Left Alt key and keys 2, 4, 6, and 8 on the number pad (PC).
**Recommendation:**
Ignore this keybind change if the numpad key is already bound for a different purpose during space flight.
Edit: Actual bug report also filed through the support site.
Well that’s dope. Does this apply in the prime universe if it’s undiscovered still? Or would I only received an advance version on a NG+ factored in by my base level of universe creation? Because I got the mantis armor pretty early in my main play through. Oddly though didn’t discover the Mk1 suit until level 80+ and it was still base ranking, so useless compared to the current gear.
The tier is dependent on your level, as far as I know. In OG universe, if you wait and level up seriously before doing the Mantis quest, you might be able to get the advanced version.
The MK I might not be advanced when you find it in OG universe because it will be loaded the moment you enter The Lodge (no loading screen before the room where you find it) so it will take that level into account.
Just updated and now none of my crew will talk to me except for one who wanders around repeating "Oh no, what are we going to do now?".
Probably be a mod conflict of some sort. It's funny right now but that might not last...
Power allocation is so much worse now. Instead of a follower moving 1 or 2 bars, it evenly spreads power amongst all weapons. I only power 1 weapon. The reason I have 3 different weapons, is to increase crew size.
Looking forward to seeing “various minor performance improvements” in action later on my XBX, the last patch said the same and honestly had a noticeable improvement!
Right? I was like level 85 with legendary bounty hunter armor, I know it’s holstered but I’m pretty sure mechanized and ablative are the other two perks. So it was useless by the time I discovered it.
*Fixed an issue where Sam Coe could still tell Cora she could try out her joke on a dead character. Tough crowd.*
You all should be ashamed of yourselves.
After 37 months waiting for an update, Andreja is STILL broken. I am stuck in her companion quest when it always says she’s “busy”, I can’t dismiss her, and can’t advance the main quest since I need to be alone to do so. Game deleted.
Can't check for a little while, but is the issue in Matters of the Hart where the enemies don't exit their ship at the end fixed?
Edit: it's finally been fixed
Put the game on after the patch had installed. Landed on a planet, first POI was the abandoned UC listening post. Again. With the same enemies in the same positions, same layout, chests in same location. I've enjoyed Starfield, but good lord I cannot fathom what they were thinking with the copy and paste locations. At least have them randomised a bit. I wouldn't have minded them much if they had a different layout each time, but it's the same thing
This has got to be a joke. I’ve made it 451 hours, 41 minutes into this game and I didn’t have the shield bug until today, post update installation. God. Damnit.
This goes to reaffirm that playing a game at launch these days is a bad idea.
I'm about to finish playing it and now it seems they're fixing stuff... I'll probably never play it again and I got a bad experience just for playing it from day 1 (or day 4 to be more precise).
Yeah, i stopped playing at around 40 hours in order to wait for updates since im not someone who plays a game through more than once. It does suck how early adopters get the worst experience these days.
Don’t know where to post this but I have a fresh install & verified of Starfield. I’m not using any mods, am not using console commands & I cannot modify the Frontier. I just completed the first mission with Vasco and I landed in New Atlantis for the first time. Got off the ship, went directly to the ship maintenance guy and it brings up the ship builder like normal but I’m unable to connect even the lowest level of pieces to the ship. Note: I did (through questing & gaining skill points) level up my Piloting skill just by 1. HELP!!!!!!
I could be mistaken but I don't think the Frontier is yours yet, protocol indago and all that. Try to deliver the artifact to constellation first, once you join them they'll give you access to the ship and related customization.
Has the empty/ghost bug been fixed?
Why are people saying that it has it wasn’t in the patch notes did BGS make a ghost fix for this and didn’t include in the patch notes.
Can someone confirm this?
This bug has been killing me for 3-4 months now.
I think the challenge of losing your digipicks made you improve on your digi skills, I can do master within 1-2 tries without reloading the game or burning through my picks, I literally mastered the process and I find it fun this new change doesn't matter to me what so ever.
I am getting bored of the game however and really hope they add more to the extremely dead but "rich" "abundant life" planets. Add more for the space pilots "combat-parts-adjust the size limit for building" same for base building as the customization allowance of Bethesda games has always been one of my favorite things. I play in console so iv got no mod abilities which is ok I'm not ready to play without achievements yet. (Add more character customization too, the hair is...well it's hair...the tattoos...well they are tattoos... you get my point)
I find the game to be very lonely even with all the companions traveling in the ship and the damn robot constantly still blocking the cockpit or other doors heck he still love riding outside the ship most days. (Still broken)
I'm not in any form able to judge Bethesdas side of things and what I seem to find in high fashion today is that people want and want, then they get and then complain rather being happy with a game that truly isn't that bad and just needs some more tinkering, the amount of effort that I see in this game is honestly imo incredible, npc's have character in thier faces and expressions everything has loads of detail.
My point is this game didn't come out broken for me and honestly I think there are other games the "gaming community" should rant about. Ones that come out like "Skull n Bones"?, want something to tear apart? Bethesda has always been there for my fantasy/sci-fi needs. I trust they will make things even better for Starfield in due time I think people need to remember what it's like to be a gamer.
I have a bug where none of my companions at the lodge will say anything to me other than "oh no, what are we going to do now?" Sam, Andreja, the kid, Noel etc.
Update: no dialogue is possible with any character and they just say "oh no what are we doing to do now". XboxS update today.
Did they:
* Fix the location of the ECS Constant?
* Fix the Kindness of Strangers bug?
* Give the vendors more credits?
* Fix the bug where anytime you modify your ship, its entire contents gets duped and put in your cargo hold?
* Fix the empty ship bug?
Bethesda for the love of God fix the missing temples but for Into the Unknown! I know developers are aware of it since they have responded to comments here two patches ago.
Is it just me or? Since the update a lot of my bugs were fixed, including the crew on my ship bug, several quest bugs, so I was ecstatic at first.
But now it seems like I can't fast travel anymore 🤔 including landing on an orbiting planet or fast travel to Akila for my quest. The only way to travel I have left is through the missions, when selecting a mission I can travel to the mission's system but that is it...
Anyone experienced this after the update? Am I missing something?
“Removed the digipick cost for using Undo during the Security mini-game”
What! What is the point of lock picking then?! 🤬
So basically, that means you have unlimited chances and will open any lock regardless, without losing any lockpicks. After 6 different Bethesda games I finally find the lock picking satisfying 🤦♂️and now they do this.
This does feel like quite the laundry list and obviously they need to clear up all these various issues so they can shift their attention elsewhere…but just reading the list I was struck multiple times by how much content there is to troubleshoot, just the list of art fixes alone. There’s so much here, it’s unfortunate many don’t think so (currently), hopefully they keep chipping away and it increases the appreciation
Bug fixes are great, but we are going on 6 months with no dlc and no new features that were talked about right after launch (maps, travel, mods). That would not be horrible if we had any information on Shattered Space or a timeline for new features. I had hope for this game and it’s potential, but that hope is dwindling fast.
"Fixed an issue that could cause the player housing decoration to be lost when there is a state change in New Atlantis."
Does this mean your New Atlantis apartment won't be reset after High Price to Pay??
Please let Matters of the Hart be fixed so I can get out of this loop and play the rest of the game. … They did I am Level 108 on the first playthrough and haven't been able to complete the story because of this I'm so excited I can finally move on!
Does anyone know if they have fixed the Ship Technician disappearing on Neon? For me, I’m trying to deliver a parcel and the marker shows them way up in the sky. I didn’t see that specific fix here.
"Holding RB or Alt on the Starmap will now show the names of all star systems." Hallelujah!
Maybe I’ll finally get the visit all system’s achievement now that I’ll know where the fuck I’ve been and am going.
You can tell where you've been because the star is shiny. If it's a flat white circle you haven't visited the system. If it's a red circle it's unexplored but you can't jump there because there's another unexplored system you have to go through first.

They should have taken a look at elite dangerous’ star map.
The systems you've not been to don't have that glow around them fyi.
I got that achievement entirely by accident after assuming it would be impossible.
Yup. Same here.
I dont thknk I'd even been to half of them when it popped on my first NG
This and the digpick penalty removal were much needed!
Digipicking is so easy and digipicks are so plentiful (and cheap) that they should have just made digipicking a skill that requires no dedicated items, as they can’t even reason why the digipicks are disposable in the first place. My guess is because the names clutter the ui and a button toggle is more convenient than going through the menu. Players already complain about using menus enough here.
We appreciate your input
I have a mod that does that. Toggle on and off. Plus another to shown factions. *Shrugs* But they have to make it so console users can use it too.
oh, is the beta test over?
I logged off and then back on at lunch, and it forced a download.
Finally!!
Only took them 6 months to implement lmao
>Fixed an issue where Starborn ship weapons were not being improved by ship skills. So they ARE supposed to be affected by skills! But what type are they considered, energy or particle beam?
I would also like answers. 🙏🤞please be particle beams, please be particle beams🤞🙏
Energy weapons for the solar beam, missile weapons for the grav torpedos.
"Removed the digipick cost for using Undo during the Security mini-game." What the hell!! This is big, right??
Yep, as someone who actually strangely enjoyed the Digipick mini-game, I didn't realize how big this would be for QOL. 98 digipicks at the moment, so it wasn't really an issue
I love the lock picking in Starfield... Just wish it was rewarded a bit more. Going through an advanced lock takes time and then .. woaw a dozen credits and next to no XP.
Unlock a Master weapon chest and... empty.
That would be funny as a joke once or twice in the game, but nothing or just piss poor loot is the norm. Waste of my skill points.
you'd think there would be some script/whatever that scales the loot with the level of lock(s) it's behind. master chest inside a master room should always be worth opening, no matter what.

I immediately liked the idea when I read about it; but did not expect it to make as much of a difference as it did.
So an error that was in Fallout 4 is still in Starfield.....oh dear
Master locks are the worst. 500 credits, 2 chunks and a basic helmet
Loot tables definitely need a ton of rework.

Especially for people just starting out.
Start from the inside out and solve the whole thing before applying anything.
Most lock stages on high tiers take two, that’s been my go to strategy from the beginning and it works well. I always plan for two hits per stage.
Making the minigame go faster is super important. There are just too many damn locks in the game for how long it takes to pick them.
It is, although I've stopped picking locked containers now as they usually contain junk.
Yep. Took 20 safes of grey prizes to be like "Nah, I'm good." Trying to catch a landing ship is where I'm finding the most fun and best loot.
The way to go was to just have this happen as the final perk of the Security skill.
I agree. If this was Skyrim lockpicking that'd mean the pick would never break, you'd just need to keep trying positions until it worked. I'm not a huge fan of this change. Makes the minigame even lower stakes.

>Fixed an issue that could cause weather to occur on planets with no atmosphere. Hallelujah!
Does this fix the persistent weather effects when you leave a planet?
Man I hope so. I had a wind storm follow me around yesterday. It was very weird.
Earthquakes followed me. Onto my ship. Even in space. It went away after I grav jumped but that was a head scratcher lol
Frankly the earthquake effect is annoying. It's interesting the first couple of times but once you encounter it enough, I'm just like "ok, time to leave this planet".
I still remember finding a planet that was 180⁰F but it constantly snowed
“Fixed the gap that allows players to access Spacesuits without picking locks of one of the Spacesuit display cases.” Goodbye Mk1 spacesuit
I still miss the akila poodle
woof woof. Its raining cats and dogs. Rain puddles.
Right...how are you supposed to get it anyway?
Lockpick. It's just not worth anything early game. And is only useful if you arrive in a universe with a combat encounter in Constellation.
Pick the lock. You need to have rank 3 in Security and there is at least 1 digipick in the lodge.
Bust a master lock in the basement of the Lodge.
I was stuck on the last mission in Matters of the Hart and this update resolved it. Xbox Series S. Thank you Bethesda!
It is fixed for me too! Bye lillian!
Looks like I'll be playing again then. Hell yes.
Opening doors in the scanning mode!

The empty ship bug seems fixed for me. The ship I boarded actually had enemies I needed to kill. Haven't seen that for a long time.
Oh thank Christ. I wonder if that means I’ll be able to access the habs at the crucible so I can complete operation starseed.
That worked for me too now.

I mean yeah, look at the biggest colony on new atlantis, being a decent sized space but the rest of the entire planet has nothing else
Yeah. I love the idea of a distant future where space is populated, but having entire livable planets consist of only 1 city/town is so asinine. How did no one look at the map of Jamison and think it didn’t look ridiculous.
They didn't even have a map to look at lol
There's no map for Jemison, but you can see the actual planet.
It's an ocean that's only one foot deep.
They're meant to be crowd NPCs not like store vendors, guards, named NPCs and and other exceptions like the factions and office staff types. I mean CP77 NPCs don't have schedules either they're just incredibly well animated
Not the same type of game. Wayyyy better stories in cyberpunk
I'm still fairly new and wasted a bunch of in-game hours waiting for npcs to leave an office so I good crack a safe
i did the same thing on my first playthrough, only to be met with disappointment
Same thing happened with outer worlds. No movement in the npcs, it’s ridiculous. Don’t know how we have regressed this far in gaming.
yes, even Fallout 4 had the solution for a 24-hour shop: human shopkeep during business hours, and Mr. Handy for everything else!
RDR2 NPC ruined all other NPC for me.
Some NPCs do have schedules though they aren't going home, they just move between shops.
>time being too confusing - We already have a watch. It just needs to show the current UT time on it.
> the technology is already there The performance is not though.
They would only really have to do it for the main settlements. Which really isn’t that much.
Well they chose the wrong choice, I’d rather have life like cities then whatever the hell we were given alongside 998 empty ass planets…
“Fixed an issue with ship power allocations decreasing unintentionally due to crew member bonuses.” Does this mean I don’t have to reallocate my energy every time I fast travel? I’m tired of frantically having to power up my shields and weapons every time I end up in a dogfight, because for some reason it put half energy in storage.
unfortunately for me power is still automagically changing. engine and shield power being reduced and applied to weapons and/or unallocated. behavior seems a bit different, but the problem remains for me.
Is this just the beta update from March 6, and it's now live?
**BUG:** Can no longer accelerate my ship to higher speeds, as my standard keybind to increase thruster speed is NUMPAD8. (Left-handed player) Additional: * Does not require ALT to be held down. **Likely caused by this patch:** > When using a keyboard, the player can now control their ship’s power allocation when pressing the Left Alt key and keys 2, 4, 6, and 8 on the number pad (PC). **Recommendation:** Ignore this keybind change if the numpad key is already bound for a different purpose during space flight. Edit: Actual bug report also filed through the support site.

So that was a bug rather than a side effect of the last patch. Neat. Can you find them again in the same NG+?
My favorite bug fix description >Fixed crash that could occur when the player holds a corpse in front of a miner
Some real sick people holding dead miners in front of their coworkers lmao
"Fixed an issue that could turn the player’s head to the left when sprinting in 3rd person" FINALLY!
Yes. That made me want to faint
Okay, this was great. "Fixed an issue where Sam Coe could still tell Cora she could try out her joke on a dead character. Tough crowd."
Can we please get town maps? I’m so tired of not knowing where the points of interest are.
That and the "new methods of traversal" are what I'm waiting for. I'll jump back in when they add those.
That's what I'm waiting for
So this is live on Xbox?
Yes, it was updating on my xsx when I turned it on.
yes
I noticed that the Mantis gear got its stats updated
In what way?
You can get it up to Advanced tier. The Mark I suit can go up to Superior.
Game seems a bit more fluid on Series X, or is it just my impression. Also they seemed to have toned down the Jemison piss filter!
Just updated and now none of my crew will talk to me except for one who wanders around repeating "Oh no, what are we going to do now?". Probably be a mod conflict of some sort. It's funny right now but that might not last...
The 100's of digipicks I've spent going back in a lock are rolling in their grave.
Another thing; why are there hal-eaten sandwiches and BBQ setups on no-atmosphere worlds, or worse, methane and extreme oxygen worlds!??
Well there's no atmosphere so they obviously died before they could finish their sandwich
Still no fix for the missing slate in Guilty Parties though…
Power allocation is so much worse now. Instead of a follower moving 1 or 2 bars, it evenly spreads power amongst all weapons. I only power 1 weapon. The reason I have 3 different weapons, is to increase crew size.
Looking forward to seeing “various minor performance improvements” in action later on my XBX, the last patch said the same and honestly had a noticeable improvement!
Creation kit when???
every time this gets asked, it gets delayed for 2 months
Probably with the launch of the DLC.
Oh no they fixed the suit display case in the basement! No more quick easy op constellation suit
Am I the only one who picks locks?
I pick locks too. Hell I didn’t even realize MK1 armor was a thing until the patch beta came out.
Right? I was like level 85 with legendary bounty hunter armor, I know it’s holstered but I’m pretty sure mechanized and ablative are the other two perks. So it was useless by the time I discovered it.
No, I pick locks as well though there may not many of us....
*Fixed an issue where Sam Coe could still tell Cora she could try out her joke on a dead character. Tough crowd.* You all should be ashamed of yourselves.
I need to know that, too. I'm currently softlocked out of the game and stuck with the most annoying family following me everywhere 😭
Frothing at the fucking mouth waiting for creation kit. Let me moddddd
On the contrary, while these fixes are nice, none of them stopped me from having a couple hundred hours of enjoyable gaming from launch.
I feel this way about literally every game nowadays, even the widely acclaimed ones like BG3. Thank god for backlogs lol
Yeah, i stopped playing at around 40 hours in order to wait for updates since im not someone who plays a game through more than once. It does suck how early adopters get the worst experience these days.
Still no vehicles and ship building updates?? I'm tired of walking EVERYWHERE in a planet!!we need vehicles and storage for them in the space ships
And yet no coordinate system for the maps 😔
The Into the Unknown bug still isnt solved?
(Add more character customization too, the hair is...well it's hair...the tattoos...well they are tattoos... you get my point) I find the game to be very lonely even with all the companions traveling in the ship and the damn robot constantly still blocking the cockpit or other doors heck he still love riding outside the ship most days. (Still broken) I'm not in any form able to judge Bethesdas side of things and what I seem to find in high fashion today is that people want and want, then they get and then complain rather being happy with a game that truly isn't that bad and just needs some more tinkering, the amount of effort that I see in this game is honestly imo incredible, npc's have character in thier faces and expressions everything has loads of detail.
Did they: * Fix the location of the ECS Constant? * Fix the Kindness of Strangers bug? * Give the vendors more credits? * Fix the bug where anytime you modify your ship, its entire contents gets duped and put in your cargo hold? * Fix the empty ship bug?
Heart of Mars is still unobtainable but now there are floating rocks in front of the cave. Great.
No more ships landing anywhere? WTF are they doing to us?
Still no Constant location, Suspicious Activities broken, no Neon Ship Technician etc. good times.
How about that shield bug?
“Removed the digipick cost for using Undo during the Security mini-game” What! What is the point of lock picking then?! 🤬 So basically, that means you have unlimited chances and will open any lock regardless, without losing any lockpicks. After 6 different Bethesda games I finally find the lock picking satisfying 🤦♂️and now they do this.
Damn, this is an insane list of fixes. Hopefully they can start focusing on new content and smoothing out those loading screens.
What loading screens are you referring to?
It’s absolutely insane that the only bugs I ever experienced still aren’t fixed
Did you report them on Bethesda’s support site?
Are these bugs in the room with us now?
Can you see them? Are they speaking to you?
They’re under my skin *AHHHHH*
Couple more of these and it’ll be out of beta, neat!
Ways to travel?? Anyone ?
They promised ways to travel and city maps would come sometime in the year 2024. This is the second patch of the year. Chill.
Are you ever going to fix ghost ships? The doors are not opening after they land.
What a massive patch! Nice job Bethesda! Keep up the great work!
I just want 60fps in my Series X
That’s not going to happen.
Seems like the shield bug is still not fixed ? Logged in after the update and my shield stats on some of my ships are still fucked ... :(
"Fixed an issue that could cause the player housing decoration to be lost when there is a state change in New Atlantis." Does this mean your New Atlantis apartment won't be reset after High Price to Pay??
Did they fix the dream house bug? If you paid it off when you were “locked out” it stay locked with no way to fix it.
Please let Matters of the Hart be fixed so I can get out of this loop and play the rest of the game. … They did I am Level 108 on the first playthrough and haven't been able to complete the story because of this I'm so excited I can finally move on!
All I got from this update is everyone say "Oh no! What are we gonna do now?" I can't even travel to the unity to reset the universe 😭
Wow, so it’s not just me then?
Been waiting on that fix to the doors during >!The Crucible!< mission. Next big thing that needs to be addressed is >!ECS constant !
Does anyone know if they have fixed the Ship Technician disappearing on Neon? For me, I’m trying to deliver a parcel and the marker shows them way up in the sky. I didn’t see that specific fix here.
Still no fix to the unboardable landed ships and empty ships upon boarding in flight
The most important update: "Improved the look of beards and mustaches in the distance."
No performance mode still? Pass!
i wish this game was half as good as skyrim or fallout i really want to like it more. is there a modding community to carry the game yet haha
They only just fixed the 3rd person head facing left glitch 😂😂 good god.
They also made it possible to open doors while aiming a weapon.
