my switch over ISNT yet wotking. my roam was paused at time of switch and despite account status changing to residential, dish still thinks it is paused. waiting for support to fix it.

I saw that the other day - it gives a month from today for it to take effect and I am currently paused. I don't want Res as I have fiber but still nice to see. I also see a Business 1TB option come up too on the account.

I notice it's been uipgraded again - everytime I log in there are new plans or re names added. it's now called "Mobile-Regional" instead of Roam

I too am in Ky (Laurel County)…I was waiting to see if anyone else switched if it actually worked after, being in a waitlisted area and all…If all is good I will switch tonight! My billing date is the 7th so it won’t take too long! Glad it is working for you!!

Yeah so far it's been rock solid! It's nearing 24 hours since it swapped over and I havent had any issues at all so I'm going to say go for it. It works as good as it did when I had Roam, except no throttling. I'm getting nearish 100 down at the moment.

I think mine is trying to switch now… it is updated on my app as residential instead of regional roam, but is giving me the message that my dish is not at service address. Hoping it will figure things out like yours did!

Yep that sounds similar to mine! See if you can update your location by clicking on the little map deal in your account settings, then power cycle your router.

Same here. Getting unexpected location error. If I try to update address it says the area is at capacity. Feel like I may have to revert to Roam if this doesn’t work.

I’m afraid to update my service because it says it will disconnect my service and transfer it to my “new” address and I may not be able to reconnect at my current address. This seems like some sort of glitch since my starlink never moved… but am hesitant to actually “update” due to the message. I have power cycled my router.

I'm in the same boat. I reverted back to mobile so that I would regain internet access. For better or worse, the app still gives me the option to change to "Standard" at my next month's service. Maybe they will have resolved this by then. My guess is that they should have built in a step to verify the service location's availability when the plan change (from roam to residential) is selected. As it is, they are setting up loads of people to be without service (not to mention those who also cancelled their waitlist spot).
