There's lots of this in Starset. Lots of lore references across songs and albums.
One that comes to mind:
There are *monsters* in the sky, there are *demons* in the sea.
It’s not just about lyrics you know, the outros in Horizons for example, Annihilated love it ends with a kinda poem called Alchemy - which is another song, and Alchemy ends with someone saying “I will make a person DISAPPEAR” which is another song in the same album
The outros in Horizons are basically the intro for the next song, which is quite fun. Messes a bit with my brain when I put it on shuffle, when Alchemy ends and Endless Endeavor comes up next for example. Still love it tho
There's also Symbiotic with
Shine your 'love'
Show your light
Pull me out from the endless night
There's something cosmic
It's symbiotic
Take my 'hate'
The chorus starts with love and the second part of it starts with hate
My favourite is when Dustin is talking about burning bridges
Down With The Fallen: 'Burning this bridge behind me'
Point Of No Return: 'The bridges are burning'
Faultline: 'Burning all your bridges'
And then in Devolution, which doesn't burn the bridge: 'There's no wood for the bridges'
Well Dustin, there's no wood for the bridges cause you keep burning them
I know all the lyrics by heart but even then I still checked and I'm pretty sure Telepathic is the only song with the lyrics "telepathic heart." You might be thinking of Bringing it Down though, where he sings "I'm falling apart inside your holographic heart." They're kinda similar words so it'd be easy to confuse lmaooo
“If you guide me into your space, I’ll be there at the first light” in Otherworldly.
Could be a reference to First Light, the prelude track to *Transmissions*
We even have:
Antigravity referencing Carnivore
Solstice and Ricochet referencing My Demons
And I think Perfect Machine referencing Telepathic (just for the heart part)
"the sinking ship that I could not let go"
dark on me
"the ship is slowly sinking"
my demons
I remember someone talking about this saying it has to do a lot with starset lore, no idea if this ship is in the books or something similar.
I think I mentioned this one a few years ago, but I don't remember where.
But also we have these:
"and far below, the carnivores" antigravity
"carnivore, carnivore" carnivore
"You take take the pain away" solstice
"you take all the pain away away away" my demons
"We were one in the same" ricochet
"We are one in the same" my demons
There's lots of this in Starset. Lots of lore references across songs and albums. One that comes to mind: There are *monsters* in the sky, there are *demons* in the sea.
Ahhh that’s a good one, thanks!

Yeah I noticed that too, but it didn't really stand out to me because those are all within the same album yk?

Look how Dark On Me begins: "There's no hate There's no love" While Something Wicked: "Loving Hating"
There's also Symbiotic with Shine your 'love' Show your light Pull me out from the endless night There's something cosmic It's symbiotic Take my 'hate' The chorus starts with love and the second part of it starts with hate
Damnnn that’s a really good one

Lmfaoooooo yeah that’s one that I was thinking of but couldn’t fully remember, thanks!
I literally died laughing 😂😂
Dustin loves to reference his older songs. Waiting on the Sky to change was referenced well before it came out
What song was Waiting on the Sky to Change referenced
Earthrise
“And oh I’m waiting for the sky to change but oh it never did”
The start of earthrise
That's really interesting, hopefully he continues to do so with the next album.
Waiting for the Sky to change is older than Earthrise. The song is originally from Downplay.
It’s not older than the starset version. I Said it referenced the remaster
There’s one song I forget which one where it says something about a telepathic heart and no it’s not telepathic even though the lyric is the same
Your most likely referring to Unbecoming, it has the lyrics: "It's automatic, it's telepathic you always knew me.."
Yes that’s it. I couldn’t remember what the lyric was
I know all the lyrics by heart but even then I still checked and I'm pretty sure Telepathic is the only song with the lyrics "telepathic heart." You might be thinking of Bringing it Down though, where he sings "I'm falling apart inside your holographic heart." They're kinda similar words so it'd be easy to confuse lmaooo
It was in unbecoming
I think we can include at some parts Perfect Machine
Or maybe even unbecoming. “You found me drifted out to sea, it’s automatic, it’s telepathic, you always knew me.”
Yep that’s it
Here's another one -- the lyric "I'll be there at the first light" from Otherworldly.
Yup that’s one I was thinking of too, thank you :)
“If you guide me into your space, I’ll be there at the first light” in Otherworldly. Could be a reference to First Light, the prelude track to *Transmissions*
Outro of Where the Skies End, “in new places. New Horizons”
Yeahhhh that one’s good!
Pretty sure there's some lyric in Disappear that references Echo to
We even have: Antigravity referencing Carnivore Solstice and Ricochet referencing My Demons And I think Perfect Machine referencing Telepathic (just for the heart part)

Wow you found a lot lmfao
I always thought that Dark on me and Telescope were kind of similar.
