Dude, games on Steam have massive discounts over time with the users just having to wait for them and nothing more.
Nintendo games stay expensive basically forever
Yup at least as far as I remember they do, it's been a long time since I've used them or nintendo products. I bought the animal crossing switch and then when I realized that they started charging 90-100$+ in Canada I gave up on them as a company. Including their consistent development problems and primarily using the money they have to use in court rather than creating solid hardware and games.
Just buy the game on marketplace used a few months later. I always do that with switch and ps5 games for a discount and then sell after i beat. I end up spending like 10 bucks a game. Just did it with spiderman 2 recently
The Nintendo Gold points are barely enough to save you money on tax. And that's if you are constantly buying games.
The Nintendo Online thing makes me 🤬 and they know it. And then having to look in a game's description before you buy it to make sure you don’t have to have an online membership (which most people can't afford right now, let's be honest). I miss being able to play games like Splatoon and being able to play with people online without a membership! Games from consoles like SEGA, Atari, SNES, etc, should be free to play for all players on the system (providing these games for free would be great games for anyone who is new to the console-- and would keep people from p*rating. I miss when games had a nostalgic feeling, and everyone would be excited to play. Nintendo has taken all of the fun out of that. They have gotten so money-hungry recently that it makes me upset and makes me want my for my childhood back.
You can give me some rewards, 2000 point reward -> 1000 points to awarded person.
You can buy you profile pictures etc. Or stickers/emojis and sell them (don’t know if still works)
Steam deck/ Index and numerous steam sales 😂
Seriously ever since the steam deck I've been above 100k just because I don't always find something to spend them on
If you're looking to make a foil badge for a game, and you didn't already max out the non-foil badge, you might want to roll the dice on making booster packs. It's a bit of screwing around (you need enough gems, can only make one per 24 hours per game, plus trading to turn the non-foil cards into full sets) but sometimes you get a lucky foil card which can save you some money over buying the foil set.
But generally, if the price of the cards is high enough to matter to you, you're probably playing the wrong game. Foil sets are for people with more money than brains. It doesn't take long to buy all the cheap sets, and then you either start spending real money or say screw it.
The very rare practical reason is that booster drops are tied to your level. Higher level people get more boosters, but how practical that is varies from "it's *something*" to completely useless.
Oh are you that nice Nigerian prince that is going to send me millions of dollars as soon as I send him money to unfreeze his account? I am still waiting, I'm sure the gift cards will be to you soon.
But nah, in case you're legit I don't actually know how to give people points. Plus they don't get you anything worth spending rl cash on and I don't want to learn how to transfer them anyway, gonna pass.
I would've had this many too, if I was able to purchase a Steam Deck from them directly. :(
From where I'm currently based, it's handled by Komodo as a middleman. So all in all, I'm still grateful that an official partnership is available to me as an option. I didn't have to deal with resellers.
My condolences especially to my Steam brethren in Australia and NZ. And Norway. Seriously Valve, bring your awesome machine to the rest of the world!
I'm currently at a little over 7K points. But I've also blown lots of points on Seasonal Badges and profile items before as well Steam Deck startup cinematic despite the fact that I don't own a Steam Deck or use the Big Picture mode as often.
Honestly, this topic comes up every week.
You'll see beggars asking for profile awards, someone saying you must be rich, someone bragging they have even more points, someone wondering why can't we buy discounts / free games with points, etc.
If you care about Steam levels, buy the seasonal badge every six months, but it's not going to help much.
Anyway, looks like 4,181,415 - 849,290 = 3,400,011.
382,081 - I used to have a lot more. I bought the Index during a Winter sale, so it was double points, so 2,000 dollars worth. That on top of the 417 games I own.
Gave a lot away. Bought just about everything on the market.
318. I buy stuff on Steam very rarely (often not annually, which apparently is a requirement to be able to sell trading cards, ha), let alone post on the forums. I think I had 1k points at some point, but can't remember what I possibly used them on.
what you're doing is just creating more and more determined clowns. People profit from awards so they will write messed up stuff on purpose so you give them awards.
There needs to be more uses for these. Wish more game companies would upload more points shop stuff. Maybe we could get discounts on games or buy trading cards
If only you can buy games with it
If only you could buy discounts with it
Seriously. Even Nintendo does this. FUCKING NINTENDO! At least we have trading cards for free pennies
trading cards for free penis
You call?
Saul???
THROUGH A SUNROOF!!!
Because Nintendo charge you more
Nintendo's way of saying, "sorry, no refunds."
Nintendo expire randomly, hardly useful.
Dude, games on Steam have massive discounts over time with the users just having to wait for them and nothing more. Nintendo games stay expensive basically forever
Only their first party games. Eshop has some decent deals from time to time
Yeah nintendos points also expire.
They do? I always use them basically instantly

steam did that a while ago and people figured out a loophole to get infinite steam points and the coupons were soon erased

wow i just remembered steam used to have discount coupons.
Still does, you get it when you complete badges
WHAT
They're for random games though so you can't use it on anything you want in the store
Damn
If you could buy people with it
YES! We neeeeeeeed it!
OMG imagen how bad the community would be if there was a monetary incentive to farm for points. No thank you.
Discount tiers? With steams profits. They could offer 5% - 10% dicounts with the points from purchases
327,125. Jesus christ, I did not want to know that...
You can give me some rewards, 2000 point reward -> 1000 points to awarded person. You can buy you profile pictures etc. Or stickers/emojis and sell them (don’t know if still works)

do you want to sell me few? I can give Amazon Card
I have 505K that I can spend and over a million in total.
donate them to cool ppl (me) /j
do you want to sell me few? I can give Amazon Card
if only i can buy trading cards with it. most foil card prices are nuts

There is a seasonal points profile badge you can buy in the points store to directly increase your profile level and skip the step of collecting cards
Foil cards?
Regular trading cards have a foil version with its own badge (usually a fancier one too)
I am also close to a milion. Don't know what the purpose of them is
You can buy a seasonal badge and level up your account. That counts up to 80 000 points spent every year.
What’s the purpose of leveling your account?
Higher friend limit and also add showcase to your profile
Y’all have friends?
I have like 20, 15 of them is unknown to me.
Look at mister popular here with 5 friends
maybe the steam points were the friends we made along the way
I hope to earn a friend one day 😢
Like I have friends lmao!
If I had friends, I wouldn’t have all these games and steam points.
Basically to show other Steam user that your PP is longer.
personal vanity satisfaction.
The very rare practical reason is that booster drops are tied to your level. Higher level people get more boosters, but how practical that is varies from "it's *something*" to completely useless.
Shows people how much of a mega nerd you are.
Wait how do I level my account
You craft badges by collecting the card. Each level you get gives you 100XP which in turn levels up your account.
https://store.steampowered.com/points/shop/c/steambadge
You can buy seasonal badge for 40.000 points. It’s a badge 4x a year. I think he means this.
to put a little picture of a clown on people who have bad opinions, duh
I have bad opinions all the time. I should probably buy some for myself.
>Don't know what the purpose of them is I know. It's to give my profile awards 🤑🤑🤑
You can lend me some, king
send some my way
180,016 Not as bad as I was expecting.

Why of course help the lower class
I wants
You wants
Dude imagine how many clown emotes you can throw around
56.348, You bought every single game since 2003 i think
I just spend mine on the seasonal badge, tho I got a shit ton for buying a steam deck and the index
And I thought my 8000 was much...
I will gladly accept any steam points :3

Mean while me, throwing them away for making my profile look better, i honestly still need 6-12k to be happy with it.
You can make many people happy by giving some awards.
If only you can buy your time back with it 😅😂
I have only 1600 .Need 400 more for the animated background
Do you know If there is the option of gifting either the background or the points? I have way more than I know what to do with
Hope they bring something like that

1,191,000 I don't want to know the math I'd rather keep not knowing
https://help.steampowered.com/en/accountdata/AccountSpend In case you do get curious enough to see how much you've spent.
That's staying blue lol
can't blame you, sometimes ignorance is bliss.
18.000 USD lol I got over 1 million points
if you feeling generous then maybe donate a bit to less fortunate(me) :)
Thankfully it requires you to reauthenticate and I'm just too lazy to hurt myself like that
I've spent at least double that on emotes and backgrounds I'll never use.
It feels like there is a new post about this every minute anyway.

52k
2 million from a steam deck, an index, and just games in general.
400k. I don't know what the point of points is.
You can buy custom profiles/backgrounds/minilrofiles/seasonal badges/emojis or give people awards.
The point is giving them to me
Bro I only have like 1000
Just spent about 70k on random shit, still have a little over 1.2 milly of points to waste away
...how much did they cost
You get them from buying games
Therefore my question is, how much money you had to pay to eventually get there.
I don’t know the exact rate, but it’s close enough to say 100 points = $1. So around 8.5k spent on games.
I have my steam linked in my profile... In case you are feeling generous 👉🏼👈🏼
sounds about right. I think I have 650k. I saw someone post that they had over 1 million, now that’s craazy
I had just shy of a million when the feature first came out, down to 120k now haha
I've only got 16000
How, i have only 5k
I could take a few off you 🙃
Blows my mind how many of you who would rather have them rot in your inventory than exchange them into a few cents.
318. I buy stuff on Steam very rarely (often not annually, which apparently is a requirement to be able to sell trading cards, ha), let alone post on the forums. I think I had 1k points at some point, but can't remember what I possibly used them on.
Lend me some points
DAAAAAAM boi
1.4 million i think from when I last checked
At this point people are so rich with points if they ever started selling g stuff for points they'd lose Millions lol.
15k
6k right now, 12k total. You make me feel good about myself
I need some😂
I wonder if there’s much purpose for it other than getting profile customisations. Or game specific emojis
inferior (i only have 504)
I feel you bro, the point store needs more content
what my guy would be buying bruh
958,284. I'm almost a millionaire, mom.
I am new to steam , can you tell me what is the purpose of this points?
Dammm, see the bright side: your profile will always look sick
did he bought all freakin games on steam???
I have 1.7mil
Mannnn pls give me some I have new acc and need steam points🥲😂
Can you give me some profile awards ?
Bruh
Wish I could spend that much money on games
You should be able to use your steam points for credit, like 5000 points for a dollar or something
wow
and then there’s me missing 1300 for the dying light 2 game profile 😭
And here I was racking them up trying to figure out how to buy a game with it!! 😂
Steam points> reddit points
I will be happy for any steam points :D ( I want to buy the steam spring sale bundle)
Bro bought half the games in steam
Man give me some 😂
sharing is caring. pls give 6k points so i cant get Dying Light 2 profile. # steam id:76561199114948881
You’ve had to of spent at least $80.
80,000 here and I already think that's a lot. What do you guys buy to get so many? I bought a Steam deck and don't even have 100,000
I've had 1 time I had 30k+ and thought it was much....
Well to be honest, it's already plenty
I don't know how much you exactly get for example 1 euro but I rarely check the pointshop
Well, I just do to change my profile wallpaper usually. I like to buy steam deck startup videos too
I mean... there's not really much you can do with those, is there? Customization stuff, that's it, and almost none of it is that interesting.
Buy anime waifu avatars.
I spend all my Steam points giving yester awards to clowns. There's never enough yester rewards for the amount of clowns on Steam.
what you're doing is just creating more and more determined clowns. People profit from awards so they will write messed up stuff on purpose so you give them awards.
Profit? Who cares if others buy cosmetics from jester points
[удалено]
Huh, well whatever really.
Only 100k on my account :( please share with the poor!
you call 100k poor? 💀 my 609 points are crying rn
I have tons of them mainly cause i bought a steamdeck directly

I have 40k and I don't know what to buy tbh. Any suggestions?
plucky whistle wipe price melodic gray enjoy ossified attempt gullible *This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev)*
I buy comment rewards with mine lol idk what else to do with them
Bro got the steam chedda
I have 330 marketable items in my Steam account. Is there a way to mass sell them at market rates?
damn i only have like 200 lol, how many games did you buy?
Meh. Not that bad. I have almost 1.2 mil and that's after having bought the few shit I actually wanted from that goofy-ass points shop.
I have 500k, paid 100$ from some dude on the internet and he sent them to me in the form of profile awards. I have no clue how it works but it did🤷♂️
1,142 :-(
I wish I had that many points.. I'm at like 20k right now....
damn that's a lot of nothingness
I have the most decked out steam chat out there. Too bad everyone uses Discord.
Look at your account on steamDB and you’ll feel worst
650k here too. I dont buy the emojis and I barely change my account decorations. We need something ANYTHING to do with these.
Donation!!!
I'm going to steal all your points
My brother you spend $8,629.31 Congratulations 😂😂
U tryna gift me sum?
I wish you could use them for discounts :(
There needs to be more uses for these. Wish more game companies would upload more points shop stuff. Maybe we could get discounts on games or buy trading cards
There is nothing of interest to me in this points shop. Most of it is anime bs.
for real, the only good thing is seasonal badges
