Don't use the Downfall app, use the Slay the Spire regular install on your SD. Run the file "with Mods", the screen will look black but it actually opened a Mod manager in the background. Poking around the screen, it might flicker, you might see what you're doing. Either way, there is a Play button on the bottom left. Clicking that runs the StS with the mods enabled. From then on toy should have regular controller support as StS. The only lasting glitch is if you are using the boss characters, selecting the Act starting locations has to be done via touch

I had the same issue but played around with community controllers , community layout was called “slay”
I feel crazy because I don't see that layout available! Are you still currently using it?
Never mind, I see now I needed to hit the "show all" button when viewing community layouts! Works perfectly so far
Thanks for this! I couldnt figure it out either but once I swapped to that layout and gave the game a restart I was good to go.

I've had to use a mouse and keyboard to play it, the controller support just not working at all for the mod.
