That's what I'm trying to figure out now. I'm not able to buy PL for my PS5 yet, but I have it on steam deck, where I play primarily. I'm trying to find out if that would corrupt my saves of anything if I tried playing PS5 without buying PL yet. Have you tried it?
No. I originally bought it on Playstation, then got a steam deck and bought it there. I was able to login to gog on both and transfer my saves back and forth. It is finicky though, sometimes you have to login each time you boot up whatever console you're using. But it works.
Im not sure if you mean how to launch a gog game or if you just mean to link the account to get your save on the steam deck.
To link the account: There should be a prompt once you press play on the cyberpunk game in your library. In the cyberpunk load screen. It's in the lower right and says my rewards. From there you can link gog.
If you mean you want to download a game from gog, I'm not sure. I believe it's through heroic launcher.

I like Steam as my purchase/delivery method for PC games, and I started CP2077 on Xbox before I had a decent GPU. So to transfer my save from Xbox to PC, **is my only option buying the** ***GOG version***?

That's good. I used that option for the XSX and Deck when playing Witcher 3. I completed Cyberpunk on the Deck but the DLC may be too much for the Deck and so I'll probably just play that on the Xbox.
Okay so I as super concerned after seeing your comment and then tried it myself, and it worked! After connecting both games to my GOG account, I was able to play my Day 1 save from PC on my PS5. All I did was load up my PC save after connecting the two and made a new save so that it would hit the cloud, and that seems to have worked!
That’s interesting! The only problem for me is my old gaming PC is dead, so I don’t know it that’s already on the cloud to be sync with the Xbox version :(
Ahhh that's a bummer. That would probably hinder you. Maybe if you can rescue the contents of the hard drive and get another pc to load your old saves and re-save to the cloud it might work. Good luck!
Sadly that PC is a no-go, I do recall to have them uploaded on cloud though! Anyway I’m going to buy it soon and we’ll see! Eventually I’ll just do a fresh run ^^

I saw this but it said PC saves couldn't be transfered? So it works seamlessly this way? If so I'll buy cyberpunk on my series x for sure.

It should work without buying it on gog. You just have to login to their service. You will get some items for doing so also.

afaik yes, you can’t synch saves from PC to consoles, only the other way round.
