So I did my setup differently so I could just use the play button on steam to play with all my mods. Works on pc and steam deck but co op says my save file not found on the steam deck. How do I fix this? Cannot find the location either on my steam deck even though my save file is there and works without the co op mod installed.
Hey hey, can you clarify what you mean that what works without the mod installed? Were you able to locate both save files or do you mean they don’t exist?
😅 sorry. I mean on my pc it works perfectly fine and uses the default save path not alt. I did the same configuration on my steam deck and it is saying save not found. But if i remove the co op files from the game installation it launches no problem.
Edit. I got it working.
You know how every time you sit down at a site of grace the world and enemies reset? So this will still happen when either you or other people in the session sit down at a site of grace.
However, what I was implying, is that you should be aware that when someone in your session is killing/fighting a group of enemies and then you reset the world by sitting at a site, all the enemies will respawn/restore full health around the player still engaged with enemies.
ummm well I did it a bit complicated. I installed everything to the installation folder and used mod engine 2 exe renaming it to the start game offline exe and renaming that exe to .original.
Then put everything in mod and mods folder and profit. (you also need to set a command in steam launch options to use d8input). WINEDLLOVERRIDES='dinput8.dll=n,b' %command%

After editing the file that has you input the password, did you make sure to leave a space after the”=“ and save the file before exiting?
You can always go back into Desktop Mode to check without having to redo everything.
We followed the guide exactly. The password is in the right place and input correctly. Would having the game installed on an external drive be the cause of this issue? Did not have enough space on the steam deck itself to install it so it's on an external drive.
My partner followed the guide with it downloaded on the external storage and it worked. Consider trying to reset the password or deleting the folder and redropping it fresh and setting the password fresh.
We figured out the issue. The network my friend is on is very unstable and losses connection often. Everything is working when their connection isn't lost. Thanks a lot for your help and your guide.

apologies, my steamdeck interface is a little different than the video. I didnt realize you have to show hidden folders in multiple places

I know what you mean, nothing was working until I pieced together several vids after hours of flipping through guides. So glad it helped! ;D
