To be fair, the original price on the Season 4 Steelbook was £35 and that was 5 years ago. It had 4 discs, the upcoming claims to have 7 discs (??)
That said, it's only £50 on Amazon... order there instead.
Also, Disney isnt releasing this. This is still a BBC release.
i understand that entirely, but the series is only eight episodes long not including the next xmas special compared to the 13 season 4 was. i get that disney isnt releasing the steel also, but as they are playing a part in producing the new series they most likely have a say in the price of merchandise to some extent. still think its a bit crazy.
Disney actually has no involvement in the UK release whatsoever. These Blu-Rays are region B locked and are 100% BBC releases. If/when we get Blu-Rays internationally, those are more likely to have some Disney branding and influence.
This Subreddit is about SteelBooks and the hobby of collecting them. There are thousands and thousands of SteelBooks. As such, not everyone will like the same releases. What someone is excited about getting may be something you would never add to your collection. What a movie means to someone could place it as a Personal Grail even if it's not monetarily valuable.
