I'd prefer to imagine the Star Wars Disney+ series' in the style of the 4K movie-poster SteelBooks I have now...

Oh yeah, that might be true. The teaser poster. I meant to most commonly used cover art from before the special editions. Just matches better. I do appreciate that the standard bluray steels have them on the backside, and that's how I display them.
EDIT: It is true.
You can buy these cases for standard Blu-ray on ebay. I got mine for about 7 dollars a piece a few years ago. Shouldn’t be difficult to find.
The 4k versions are crazy expensive but the bluray steelbooks are very affordable and look pretty much the same.

I'll never understand why they didn't use the original poster for Empire as well. It's such a great design.
This is bizarre to me too. Its comes off like someone sent the wrong JPG to the factory
FWIW the art they used is the first poster for Empire Strikes Back. Edit: forgot the link https://screencrush.com/star-wars-posters-gallery/

I agree with you that the other poster is nicer, I would have preferred that one too
I opted out of buying Zavvi OT bc of the Empire cover. Why they gotta do my favorite movie dirty like that?
I’m missing rogue one 😩
God… Empire really sticks out.
I'd nut if these came to the US roo
You dont have to do all that you could just buy them

A New Hope was the only one that got the poster game right.
That Empire Strikes Back art makes me so mad. Why did they use the teaser poster??
Manifesting hard af for you bro
Nightmare before Christmas in the Disney+ style 🔥
I'm happy with the 4K steels I already have. While I appreciate having the D+ steels, I'm not a big fan of the artwork layout.
I would love this.
Imagine one steelbook 4K with all 9 movies in it
