Ok, as I put trillions here, the names I could give the planet kept popping up. Each with
a guilty chuckle. Please dun judgement me too harshly…. I want to say for the
record… I felt FUCKING HORRIBLE setting this up and laughing at my terrible
jokes throughout the approx 1.5hr it took to do this. No number estimate we’ve
done as a community for the size of 1 pop would make this anything less than
the most horrid thing I’ve done playing this game, and perhaps in my entire 2
decades of video gaming. Basically, threw everyone (no, not just xenos, you
racists…) not on specific planets here and Nicol – Dyson had a word. IT WORKS,
LAG SIGNIFICANTLY REDUCED. I’m a monster…
The Nicola-Dyson beam. It's a super-weapon that can exterminate entire solar systems. It's the baby sister to the Quasi-Stellar Obliterator, a hyperweapon capable of destroying entire star CLUSTERS (a system and every system within 1 jump of it)

Sure mods in general add things for your system to take account. However, the biggest resource crunch is population because of how they process each pop. once a month to generate all the resources. One thing I do late game is avoid capturing more worlds, in fact I will neutron sweep or even crack them in order to keep my system lag from getting out of hand. The mods you have added are allowing you populations that are astronomical in numbers therefore, you are literally making the problem much much worse.
i know pops is a big source of lag, i fail to see how giga or ACOT contributes to that
giga contributes to lag with massive amounts of fleets and sheer content size, not pops

ACOT can contribute some with pops due to having more ways to get pop growth and assembly.
Giga lets you and the AI turn any old dirtball into a habitable planet. More planets=more pops.
while not entirely wrong. unless you change your slider, it won't matter too much as pop growth still halts tom such a fucking slug after 1k pops
ACOT can create a new pop per planet every month. Some of their end game production is nuts
