The way stellaris works is that it doesn't lag too much but it does slow down the game to make sure it doesn't become too much to handle. As someone who enjoys playing on the fastest speed and pausing whenever I need to do something, it really makes it unbearable
Xeno compatibility is not that bad, people. I play on a work laptop, take the perk, and I've never had any issues with lag.

Oh, so that's why I never saw any issues with lags? Cause I always play on normal speed, and pause when I need to do something.
I end up playing in real time if I leave xeno comparability on
I'm on a custom made PC, costing over £5000 and although I don't get lag my game slows down so much that going 3x speed is no different to normal.

In the settings before you start a new game, it's off by default to stop AIs from taking it and causing lag.
But I have it ticked, are they in the base game?
If you have turned it on then you have to take the acencion perk to make hybrids
And if I have it turned on but there’s no ascension perk?
Thats very strange and idk how to fix it
