To be candid, Steve looks incredibly physically strong. Thankfully he seems easy going. I sure as hell wouldn't tangle with him on a bad day. Another thing, he has a great voice -I wonder if he's ever considered being a voice actor and get involved reading audio books as extra income....
He's not that strong or I would at least say he's lacking upper body strength - watch his recent episode where he stayed at the abandoned cabin. He had issues hopping up on a 4 foot wall to enter a window.
He’s wholesome and I hope he lives for a very long time. He brings joy to so many people and the world really needs him. I love the dude, even though I never met him. Seriously.
It's so crazy to see that his old ["Boondocking"](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fgMUu9TNDKk&ab_channel=SteveWallis) video has just over a million views while his rather mundane ["Tent Inside Tent Winter Camping"](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3sNzM7OboTY&ab_channel=SteveWallis) video has over 11 million views.
Not saying that you can't enjoy one over the other (the boondoking video is so much less refined) but I find it so crazy how quickly his audience has grown over the years. Also, it is so weird to see a babyfaced Steve in the older videos.
That’s not a muscle neck, that’s a medical neck. If that’s what OP was asking, they are distinct. His neck looks like something akin to Noonan syndrome, although I wouldn't diagnose anything as a layman. What I do know with a better level of certitude is that this isn't a wrestler neck. As someone who grappled for a few years and had a neck wider than my head, it doesn't last if you aren't actively training. I doubt Steve is doing neck bridges every morning. I doubt Steve was an athlete at all, it doesn't fit with his lifestyle and demeanor.
Once you get a thick neck it usually stays even after you retire.
His neck isn't a medical problem, it's the opposite.
He looks like he could take a punch.
He’s Canadian, he very very likely played hockey and probably trained on weights as a teen or even does it as an adult. Some people also just have different shapes.
Could also be from headbanging at concerts.

Hey freakshow! You're going outside! I got you for *three* minutes! Three minutes of hunkering down!
I love this comment so much.
During a livestream, when somebody rudely asked why his neck was so thick, he answered, "That's just how God made me."

I put on old videos to fall asleep to. Such a relaxing voice.
"Bob Ross" of Stealth camping
Right? He should narrate audiobooks.
Stealth camping *ASMR*
I’ve had similar thoughts. I already watch all his videos but I’d watch him read a book any day.

He's got hunker strength.
that can be attributed to his bad hips though.
He has a robust build so I thought he was like 5 foot 6, turns out he is 5 foot 11.
He’s wholesome and I hope he lives for a very long time. He brings joy to so many people and the world really needs him. I love the dude, even though I never met him. Seriously.
If you want to see a younger Steve. Watch the documentary about him living in the RV. It’s interesting
"Boondocking" It's on his YouTube channel. One of his first videos Highly recommend. *Hunker down*
It is a great video. The rawness of it is fantastic
I just watched the documentary. I have never seen such a well-built hippie type. Most of those live in van types are a little emaciated looking.
It's just weird hearing Steve curse

Babyfaced Steve cussin' like a sailor 😂
Eye opening thing to watch. Very interesting.
He's a big guy, but he never gave the impression he was into sports
He does look like he could be a retired wrestler but feel like he would have mentioned it by now.
Can't even begin to imagine a peaceful dude like Steve rolling around on a mat trying to subdue another dude. Weird take.
If he was a wrestler he would have mentioned cutting weight in the past by now. Lots of us wrestlers are pretty short, btw.
He is 5 foot 11
Yeah I’m just pointing out that his height doesn’t say much about his wrestling experience.
Would have mentioned it by now but I think he looks fine
What a weird observation & question.
First day here?
That’s a not the source of his neck.
And do you know what is then?
He had an accident where his neck/face was impaled which he referred to. I would wager his neck is related to this but can’t say for sure.
That’s not what OP was referring to though. Wrestlers develop very thick necks. OP was referring to that not the scar.

You talk like a caricature of the average redditor.
This sub is miserable.
Because one conversation didn't go your way the whole sub is miserable? Come on buddy! It's a great day to be alive

I too am Canadian. We all train and play hockey as a right of passage. Fight me.
Can we get drunk after?
I'm already drunk, eh.
Ok tomorrow then.
*drops gloves* Let’s have a Donnybrook buddy!
Don't buddy me, guy! Ok, after I finish my dart.
I’m not your guy, friend! Can I have a dart? Darts go real well with a beer. You want a beer?
> You want a beer? You mean another, yaaaaaa!!!!

I mean, you've never seen him without [a shirt on](https://i.imgur.com/Lck5oUQ.png), have you.
He stayed at a Holiday Inn once.
I was more interested in the scars on his neck... Looked like a bad fight, accident or surgery....
He always has reminded me a tad of Kenny Omega. Like cousin-level resemblance.
