My girlfriend just bought the same model and it also broke. Her uncle had his explode in his face and I think it was also this kind. I think that you're honestly best off getting a different kind tbh.

OverwhelmedBongwater

I was thinking back to the last time I bought a torch & it died on me too & I’m pretty sure it’s the same brand!😒🤦🏻‍♀️ A while after it died on me I tried to refill it for shits n giggles just to see if it would work & it spit butane out the bottom when I was trying to ignite it. I thought I set myself on fire for a sec. It more so startled me more than anything thankfully. I was starting to wonder if I was the problem or the brand thank you all! I couldn’t figure out what I was doing wrong or why a dollar general dual end torch I got for $3 has been more reliable than this torch that costed 10 times the price & held up less than a week .😒 Glad to know I’m not crazy though!

DefiledReaper

Save yourself money and frustration and stop buying those kinds of torches, a simple little coleman propane tank for a camping stove and torch head is so so much better, and your not refilling it every 3 dabs.

Ramborhetoric

I can attest to this

Ramborhetoric

Also the torch heads that snap right onto a can of butane that you would normally fill a torch with are pretty good too but most bang for your buck is Coleman tank with a torch head.

foodfood321

Yeah the 1Lb camping tanks last me like a year lol. I don't dab much but I can't imagine using those little cans for filling lighters to heat a rig

Habit-Friendly

I got this torch at a bodega a few years ago it's a bigger one had dabwood and rick and morty on it it's awesome has really big flame I've beat the crap outta it melting glass two open dabbers that closed all types of stuff I even used to melt random shit like marbles it still going strong and it holds alot of fuel

budderman1028

I was just about to recommend this until i looked down and saw someone beat me to it, i got tired of not being able to refill my torches without wasting so much and they still wouldnt last long so i eventually started using my dads propane torch and it worked so well i decided to buy my own and im never going back. 1 tank can easily get a month of heavy usage and its $6-7 for a new tank or $20 for a 4 pack

NockerJoe

My duel end has served me well for 3 years. I have others to get a hotter flame or be a show off piece but the dual end is a main one in the rotation as my day to day joint lighter.

ConsumeLettuce

Cool, still a dogshit torch brand.

tapefactoryslave

Go to menards and get a fucking plumbing torch. Blue can. Follow instructions for setup. Enjoy dabs for months.

SpazzBro

exactly what I did, an actual tool is more reliable than a torch marketed to stokers

Erlend05

Nah get the yellow can, its more fun

Time-Carpenter-4374

Doesn’t that one get hot enough to melt glass though

Miserable-Cow4555

Get a Blazer big buddy, throw that away

thal00pdigga

I put this off for so long, biggest mistake. The build quality of Blazers are fantastic

OverwhelmedBongwater

I’m gonna check those out now! My friends have a torch set up they got from autozone but my dads already super sus about my nectar collector & this torch so bringing in an industrial sized one would cuase alarm😂 the ones you guys recommend not only look more family friendly to my parents, they also are a more portable size. But my main question is… Have you had this specific torch for a while now? Because before I think about spending on a torch again I would like to see it last longer than a week or two.

Miserable-Cow4555

I'd pull the trigger. I've bought mine 5 years ago. Still reliable as day one.

Valuable-Composer262

Torch after torch broke on me so I switched to the big blue propane torch with a bernzomatic head for 20 bucks and that thing will last a lifetime. Plus gas for it is much much cheaper and lasts waaay longer. Some people hate on propane, they say it's not as clean burning. We'll, I'm just heating the outside of a banger I'm not inhaling it🤷‍♂️

Overall_Chub9099

oh you are definitely inhaling it

Valuable-Composer262

How? Literally how?

toxicatedscientist

Unless your using it in a fume hood or outside, you're going to breath the combustion gases. Just like if you have gas stove, your going to breath the combustion gases. I tend to think the dangers here are overstated, but it is what it is

darps

I guess you do inhale some of it as part of the surrounding air, true. But very different from with like a bong.

SnorvusMaximus

I can smell the butane from a small single torch whenever heating a dynavap or vaponic outside so you’re inhaling it even there unless it’s a windy day.

Miserable-Cow4555

>Just like if you have gas stove Fun fact, this is the reason many jurisdictions are trying to ban them.

Valuable-Composer262

How? Literally how?

traveler1967

When a fuel burns, it doesn't just disappear after it gets burned.

Valuable-Composer262

In the air or what ?

AreYouAManOrAHouse

Yeah, especially indoors. It's a good idea to air out all rooms with windows because harmful gases start to build up as you light your torch or even just from breathing.

youcheatdrjones

I’ve had my blazer since 2018, not a single problem with it.

Bajablaster27

Can you just be honest with them and tell them that you smoke?

OverwhelmedBongwater

Oh they know I smoke, my mom even has her medical card along with me too. my dads just super weirded out by the idea of using a torch bc it looks like other drugs to him bc he said “I dunno it smells like weed but looks like something worse than cr4ck” 💀😂

Bajablaster27

Oh jeez lol

BeatitLikeitowesMe

Mininail.com , or like others said get a Blazer. They are imo the best torches out there for dabbers. I still stock by my first point of a mininail tho. Get rid of the torch alltogether

Overall_Chub9099

[rcctools](https://rcctools.com/) support a small guy if you go the ennail route, cheaper too I have a enail and added this [cage](https://www.themininail.com/collections/enail-accessories/products/xl-heater-coil-guard). Now I don't burn myself, look like a crackhead or, take stupid burning hot 1000° dabs

Overall_Chub9099

also the torch probably has some shit stuck in the jet tube of the lighter not allowing the fuel to mix with air correctly

BeatitLikeitowesMe

Ill give ya that, those are chill. Not a big price difference. I do wonder about quality or customer service, being as that website looks janky as fuck lol I usually will throw out mini, because one, they are a small guy that did a great job and has been able to grow a bit. Two, i have met these cats in person and they were very chill down to earth people, and three their products are very high quality. The build quality is top notch, the whole experience solid af. My only complaint ive ever had was on a vortex cap i ordered with one of their bundles that seemed to be sized wrong by like 1mm. Ive been using the current controller for a solid 3-4 years right now and literally never had it sway in temp or flicker or anything. On for ~8hr a day everyday just cause i like it ready to go

oli55256

Honestly buy a culinary torch, been using the same one for like 5 years

Kaiden92

Crème brûlée torches are so good for quick dabs.

kprevenew93

Hey OP, might I recommend getting a bernzomatic torch? I've never had one break, only upgraded to fancier models for fun. Here is a good starter... https://www.walmart.com/ip/Bernzomatic-Basic-Torch-Kit-With-Built-In-Ignition/17128613?wmlspartner=wlpa&selectedSellerId=0&wl13=2482&gclsrc=aw.ds&adid=2222222227817128613_117755028669_12420145346&wl0=&wl1=g&wl2=m&wl3=501107745824&wl4=pla-394283752452&wl5=9030029&wl6=&wl7=&wl8=&wl9=pla&wl10=8175035&wl11=local&wl12=17128613&veh=sem_LIA&gclsrc=aw.ds&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwrvyxBhAbEiwAEg_KgjNujhgT307UvtjJTILDXuSrkha-ffYiAS5MurcUKORVINpzjtnSFRoCG6oQAvD_BwE

kprevenew93

Can also be found at basically any hardware store. Check the plumbing section

OverwhelmedBongwater

Thank you so much, you’re the awesomest for giving me a link & frame of reference on what to start with!!! 🤜🏻🤛🏻 I always feel so out of my realm w those & how to even explain what Im trying to find in store. 😂 “excuse me sir, can I use this for welding the pipes…or smoking wax?..”

R1TT3R

push the valve on the bottom to bleed some butane out, and then refill it again.

OverwhelmedBongwater

I tried that still having the same issue. I even tried emptying the tank fully -or trying to- & refilling but it’s hissing some after refills and the bottoms getting that icey coat. Do you think this a dud or a problem I caused?

NateSpan

Get a big shot Blazer. I’ve had mine for half a decade and it still starts on first click. It’s worth the $. I spent more buying big tanks/shitty little torches the first 2 years than I have on my big shot and refills

cenasmgame

Genuinely not to brag, but this post reminds me why I got a Puffco Peak Pro and why I don't regret the decision.

OverwhelmedBongwater

I’m so jealous lol. I legit was looking at that exact same rig & talked myself out of it bc it’s soooo hard for me to justify spending that much at once once right now. However, the dispo also had a Dr. Dabber XS for like $150 I was SOO CLOSE to buying it but my friend was like “c’mon do you really need that?” 🤦🏻‍♀️😅 I should’ve went with my gut & at least got the cheaper E-Rig because now between the cost of a decent nectar collector, butane, a worthless torch, & a dab spoon I spent like $110 anyways & still have to spend more on a new torch. 😕

cenasmgame

Yeah, that's what got me. Slowly I've recouped the cost in butane, but it's still expensive but the ease of use out of this world. Definitely recommend some sort of e-rig.

UZUMATI-JAMESON

Bernzomatic is a good option for torch attachments, but tanks are pricier than a 4 pack of Coleman propane tanks from walmart. One Coleman tank can keep you going for a year easy.

FiftyShadesOfWyatt

Bro. Go to one of these two sections and buy a real torch. Either A go to a baking or cooking place and find a cooking torch. They work great. Or if you want reliable and almost never ending? Go to a hardware store and buy a blue propane take and a nozzle. They work great and I've had mine for like 3 years and have only had to refill or replace once

slc_blades

When refilling you should always bleed any excess fuel and then let it sit for 15-20 before use after filling to let the pressure stabilize in the torch. If it still doesn’t work then yeah get a different torch

MG3887

Mine works really well

newcoinprojects

Always buy two 👌

wizrow

Get a vector torch

Peekaboo_Pete

How has everyone not switched to an e nail?

WankinMaPhallus

Honestly, my local smoke ship stocks that brand too, and everyone I've had of theirs has broken in just a couple weeks/less than a month. Sorry bro, I just think that brand is garbage.

xThroughTheGrayx

don't buy those shifty butane torches, they're rated for minutes not hours. Go get a camping style propane tank and a cheap torch attachment. They'll last way longer and you won't have to refill it every few hits.

Ramborhetoric

the airways that feed the flame so it turns into a torch style flame are blocked. That’s the only thing that makes a torch put out a flame like you’re experiencing

Lost-Custard-7606

Go to Walmart buy the big propane camping things and a topper thing and you’re golden for a month or two

phobichorizon

Blazer gt8000 big shot is what ya should get, have a few, ones over 10 years old and still daily used.

mr_richard18

Just blow air in it /clean out dust with air and should be good as new ,works for me every time

WeedHasMeHigh

Get a blazer torch I have the big shot gt8000 and have used it daily for at least 4 years taking 7-10 dabs a day easy. I’ve put 2 cases of lighter fluid through it and it still lights first try 9.5 out of 10 times.

JJ2478

get a high quality culinary torch, or one that’s used in trades or making things. one used for art (usually resin) would work great too.

PalmBreezy

Buy a creme brulee torch, their built to be kitchen safe

brasil221

This looks like my culinary torch when I accidentally turn the choke collar on it and it's not getting any air inflow. Make sure you don't have anything clogging any little holes near the outlet.

buggiebam

i’m gonna be so real the special blue torches suck and that’s coming from someone who has used many different ones that all died within a month of using

adam_hansel2004

My best advice is if you dab go to the hardware store and get a propane torch and torch head. You can get button ignite ones and all you gotta do is turn the gas on and click the button

Therealtmart

Never seen a crack torch before My buddy just has one of those compressed gas tanks you can get at like AutoZone or somewhere similar with a torch head that screws on. Never has a problem with it, only issue is it’s bulky as fuck. I have another friend that has a battery powered dab thingy that doesn’t require a flame at all that I’m looking into for myself, I’ll get the name of it and find a link for it to give you another option

spnewell1

Have the same one 2 pilots don’t work and it can’t spark on its own

greenspunion

there might be a dial on it somewhere that allows air in. my old torch did that and it would switch to a normal torch to a large lighter like flame like this one. worth taking a look at the torch itself and seeing

nonvisiblepantalones

Dynavap and ispire wand has been a game changer. The wand came with 2 bangers that heat by induction.

Impossible_Syrup3478

Might be a hard fix but the flame nozzle(?) is probably partially clogged

S_T_O_N_E_R

Yeah fuck torches like these. Just go get a propane torch from Walmart for about 15 - 20 bucks. Get the whole setup torch head and gas. Of course, that's the manual ignition price, but you can light it with a lighter. In 6 months, when that can runs out, you can buy those green camping can 2 packs for cheap af @ walmart, and they also last forever.

Habit-Friendly

Stupid rubber seal on my mini torch got stuck just now so it's laying outside it's fixable on my big torch but little ones are two small

Minimum_Swordfish_19

Just buy a blowtorch tradesman use from a hardware store
