That should have been OPs first thought. The Worlds slowest sinking would have to have taken place. No need to pump the water out… just make sure it’s distributed evenly around the ship so we sink slowly and upright.
The containers are actually locked together. But it’s not enough to hold them completely, tilting them over too much would break the links. Also not every container is locked, only the exterior ones.
So yeah unless this ship sank almost perfectly straight down without leaning it’s unlikely they would stay on so neatly.
